I recently downloaded Mozilla Firefox as my new browser

I used to have Internet explorer 8, when I did this, It changes my dreamweaver index files, Each file used to have a chrome icon next to it, now they are nolonger have chrome icons they have the fox icon. what's worse, when I viewed them, the css was gone (no layout, color, or images) just text. I want to use MOzillla, how do I get all my work back?

You're referring to the icon changing in Windows Explorer, right? (not in Dreamweaver)
Your operating system (Windows XP, Vista, 7?) will always display the icon for the default software associated with a given file.
If you switch default browser then the icon for the new browser (Firefox) will appear next to all your HTML files.
Switching browsers browsers will not, however, affect your work or make your CSS disappear.
Something else is happening on your system which we cannot guess unless you tell us more or upload a typical problem page and post a link so we can see it.

How can I get back my internet explorer which has been removed when I have downloaded Mozilla Firefox?

I want to download Mozilla Firefox as an optional browser as I can only access a website for work through this browser. However, when I downloaded MF, even though I tick that I do not want it as my default browser or homepage, it downloads, but has removed my Internet Explorer connection. This has happened a couple of times now and is very frustrating. I don't know how to get my IE back and keep the option of MF available. MF seems to automatically delete/remove IE when it is downloaded. I am using Windows 8. I would appreciate help and advice to correct this situation. Many thanks.

Thank you very much for your prompt reply and support. The IE icon disappeared immediately after I downloaded MF. I tried to download IE again but without success. In the end all my icons on my start page disappeared, although I do not think this was to do with MF. I had to resort to restoring my lap top to factory settings for the umpteenth time and I have now got IE back but no MF. I will keep your advice and will try again when I am feeling brave enough and have sufficient time to try and download MF again. I am not confident with technical problems and greatly appreciate your help and support.

You can open the about:config page via the location bar and do a search for bing via the Filter at the top of the about:config page. 
You can reset all bing related prefs that appear bold (user set) via the right-click context menu to their default values.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Click on the Firefox button then select Options to open the Options dialog. Now go to the Sync panel for the option to setup a new account.

You are unfortunately out of luck with an Intel Mac and OS X 10.4.11 
Best would be to update to OS X 10.5 or later if you want to use Firefox 4 and later versions (current is 8.0). 
There is a Firefox 8 compatible third-party version TenFourFox from www.floodgap.com for a PowerPC Mac, but no alternative for an Intel Mac with Mac OS X 10.4.
Firefox 4 and later require at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac.

iCloud.com requires Safari 6 or later, Firefox 22 or later, or Google Chrome 28 or later. Have you tried all of those?

For the first tine since 1989 I'm thinking about buying a PC.
You'd have exactly the same problems on an 8 year old PC too. It's a bit unreasonable to expect such an old Mac to continue to be compatible as software is constantly updated.
Saying that, I'm still able to access iCloud.com successfully in Safari v5.0.6 on a PowerPC Mac running Mac OS X 10.5.8, so the problem you're having is likely to be a browser issue, not something inherently wrong with the computer.
Since all this crap started, Mail won't download my Mac.com or me.com email.
The iCloud.com website is totally unconnected to Mail's ability to download email via IMAP. Have you checked the mail server settings are correctly setup and up-to-date?

The Mozilla site. It's the correct site, I'm sure of it. How to download blob image, inline to new browser tab or window

I have an interactive report with a blob download column which is set to inline. When I click on the "download" link the image appears automatically in same window as the APEX application. How do I download the image into a new browser tab? I need to squeeze 'target="_blank" ' somewhere but I don't know where as the link structure is hidden.

In any case, it's possible that you are having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?

We are trying to access FAFSA (Federal Student Aid site) and FAFSA has detected a "connectivity with the Browser" problem. It recommends linking to a browser update. For our computer (Windows XP op sys) FAFSA says the suported browsers are 3.5.x and 3.6.x, and provides a link: http://wwwmozilla.com/firefox. When I go there, the available free upgrade is Mozilla Firefox 3.5.13. I downloaded this (I am dialup connection, so it takes a while and perhaps THAT is the connectivity problem, don't know). A week later, Firefox wanted to upgrade and it upgraded my 2.0 Firefox (installed Feb '08). So, now, I don't know whether to download, again, the 3.5.13, in order to connect with FAFSA.

Why can't I find/access my recent downloads and imessage with the new IOS software update?

I just recently updated my phone to the new IOS 7 software. I had to do this using my computer. It updated ok but now when I try to find apps that I downloaded (from the computer again) I am unable to locate them. I did find one app that was downloaded but when I click install nothing seems to be happening. I have turned the phone off and on several times hoping it would reset but nothing. I am also unable to access imessage for some reason. Help!!!

You can't update your iPad past iOS 5.1.1
Many iPad 1 owners reported slow downs with iOS 5.
Under the Settings app, General category under About, how much storage capacity does your iPad have left?
You could try a hard restart or reset by holding down the sleep/on-off button and home button simultaneously.
Once the screen goes black, wait about two seconds, then let both buttons go.
See if this changes anything.

My newly downloaded Mozilla firefox `had imported bookmarks from my previous opera but i do not seem to find them

I had Opera browser on my desktop. It had very important and usefull bookmarks. I had deletd Opera yesterday. Today when I installed Mozillafirefox a question was asked whether Bookmarks from Opera have to be imported. On my saying yes I had confirmation on mozilla that it has been successfully done. Where to find those bookmarks I do not find them in Bookmarks of mozilla firefox recently installed on my desktop.

Did you look in the Bookmarks Manager at the bottom of the Bookmarks Menu folder for something like "From Opera" ?
Do you still have your personal data from Opera or was that removed when uninstalling Opera?
