When my hard drive was replaced by Apple, I had to re-install iTunes myself. Then I noticed that there was a question mark on my dock where the App Store Icon was supposed to be. I did a software update, and now the question mark is gone. How do I get the App Store Icon back on my dock?
Locate it in the Apps folder and drag it to the dock.

I have an I Mac from 2006 and I recently had the hard drive replaced and I'm trying to connect my HP Officejet J5750 and I'm having trouble doing so. Please advise.
Hey chukrking,
Thanks for the question, and welcome to Apple Support Communities.
The following article provides relevant troubleshooting information for your issue:
Troubleshooting printer issues in OS X
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3147
USB printers and Bonjour-enabled network printers
Follow these steps until the issue is addressed:
1. Make sure that the printer is powered on, has ink / toner, and that there are no alerts on the printer’s control panel. Note: If you cannot clear an alert on the printer's control panel, stop here and check the printer's documentation or contact the manufacturer for support.
2. Ensure the printer is properly connected to a USB port on the Mac or AirPort base station / Time Capsule. If the printer is a network-capable printer, make sure that it is properly connected to your home network.
3. Use Software Update to find and install the latest available updates. If an update is installed, see if the issue persists.
4. Open the Print & Scan pane or Print & Fax (Snow Leopard) pane in System Preferences.
5. Delete the affected printer, then add the printer again.
If the issue persists, try these additional steps:
1. Reset the printing system, then add the printer again.
2. If the issue still persists, reset the printing system again. Download and install your printer's drivers. Then, add the printer again.
3. Contact the printer vendor or visit their website for further assistance.
Thanks,

i have recently had my hard drive replaced due to a fault whilst in Germany working. Happy with the replacement, however when i go to log on as a user that screen is in German? Any idea how to change the language?
Greetings Lex,
Kind of you to comment ... but you are also adding years to my signature! I know I'm 76 but I don't want to think about it.

Error message when I try to print: unsupported document-format"application/vnd.cups-command". I recently had my hard drive replaced in my early 2010 21" iMac. Anyone know anything about this? Thanks in advance.
What system are you running? Have you tried going to the Canon website to download and install the latest drivers for that model?
Are you running Time Machine? -
Hi i bought a Macbook Pro 8 & a half mounths ago.Today i had the hard drive replaced as it was faulty and on Monday i have to take it back to the Apple shop to have the Motherboard replaced. I feel that i should be asking for a new macbook, where do i stand.
Yes thats what i thought but i only have 77 days left on my garentee so its a worry, and have to drive 1 hour to get to closest Apple shop, spent the whole day there today when i should have been at work and have to make the drive again on Monday Then back again next Friday to pick it up. I paid over £1000 ponds for this computer so wouldnt expect it to have its insides replaced befor a year. Feel very let down, and no longer love my macbook pro.

My mac won't recognise my new belkin hub hardware. Any Suggestions? It used to recognise it before I had the hard drive replaced and now it doesn't.
Pull out all of your USB devices, and reboot. Now, replace the USB devices they way you'd like them to work. That reassigns the devices so you can use them again.
Respond here...I'm interested how this turns out. -
Is it possible to increase the hard drive capacity on my Macbook Pro?
is it possible to increase the hard drive capacity on my Macbook Pro?
If you feel confident, you can do it yourself.
If not, Apple can do it for the small matter of money.
If you go to http://eshop.macsales.com/installvideos/
Find you Mac on this page it has videos that show you how to replace the disk drive.
After you view the video then you can make your mind up as to which is the correct way for you to go.

Help me reinstall Iphoto. Apple states that I already have it but since I had my hard drive wiped I don't have it and can't reinstall it...
If you're running Lion then the iPhoto version at the App Store will not work for you as it only runs on Mavericks. What version did you have before this happened?
What system came preinstalled on your MBP? If it was Snow Leopard or earlier then you should have disks that came with your MBP that iPhoto can be installed from. If it was Lion or later then you'll need to contact the App Store personnel via the link in this screenshot,
and see about getting an earlier version of iPhoto, i.e. iPhoto 9.4.3 or earlier.
Or you could upgrade your system to Mavericks for free and then purchase iPhioto 9.5.1 from the App Store.

Moving the Hard Drive to a new Macbook Pro
I am going to be switching from a MId 2012 13.3"/2.5GhZ Core i5 to a Mid 2012 13.3"/2.9GhZ, Core i7. Can I just swap out the Hard Drives, assuming both Macbooks are on the latest version of Mountain Lion?
Thank youAll you need is a 00 (double zero) phillips screwdriver. Done right means not screwing anything up like stressing the HDD cable when you are disconnecting or reconnecting it or buggering up anything else while you have the bottom off.
One tip. Do not disconnected the battery. Although some guides suggest that you do, it is not needed and can only cause problems if it isn't disconnected or reconnected properly. -
Any way to get hard drive to read/ write faster?
Go back to about this Mac, click on more info, and then on System Report (I think that's what it says in lion - not on Lion right now); you will get a window like this:
Scroll down to serial ATA and it'll show all the info about your hard drive.
Since you had Apple replace it, I would address the problem with them - even if you're not under warranty, the replaced part has a warranty, so I'd explain what is happening and politely demand an explanation.
45 minutes is a tad excessive for a normal CD unless you're burning at 1 x speed? -
New hard drive replacement on my MacBook Pro.
I bought a new hard drive for my laptop but I do not have the disc to reboot the new hard drive, can someone help me?
Do you know the exact model you have?
You can try booting while holding down Command Option R keys. If you have a more recent machine it'll boot to Internet Recovery. -
I have already backed up my iPhone, yet it still will not allow me to move the contents of my phone onto my computer. Rather, it wants to delete everything off of my phone and replace it with the contents on my iTunes. Is there a way I can integrate both my iTunes and iPhone? There used to be autofill on iTunes, but I can no longer find it.
Hello there, DollyVong.
The following Knowledge Base article has great information and steps to follow on getting purchased content from your iOS device to your computer:

I recently had to have my hard drive replaced on my macbook pro,
when i got it back it doesnt have imovie, iPhoto, or photo booth on it. how do i get thse back without paying for them through the app store?
Did your Mac come with reinstall DVDs? If it did use the Applications DVD to reinstall the iLife Apps.
If your Mac came with either Lion or Mt Lion then logon to the Mac App Store and they will be in your Purchases area. -
iLife apparently was installed on the iMac at the time of the purchase. How do I get the program back on the machine. The Apple "Genius" at the Apple Stpore advised me to go to the iTunes store and get a download. How do THEY know that I have iLife? If the store in fact did install the program at purchase how do you get a copy to reinstall on the machine?
LarryiLife is preinstalled on all the Macs. If you purchased iLife in the App Store or your computer came without DVDs, open App Store > Purchases and download the applications. If your Mac came with discs, insert the Applications DVD and install iLife applications
