I recently purchased a Crucial MX200 SSD.I need some direction.

Hi, I recently purchased a Crucial MX200 SSD, Current Firmware: MU01. I set this up with a clean install of windows 7x64, in SATA IDE. My motherboard is an ASUS M4A88T-V EVO/USB3 and it supports AHCI. In this computer I have a mobile rack/tray in which I swap (cold swap) this SSD with mechanicalhard-drives depending on the job that I need to do. Everything works together well now. If I do install the AHCI drivers while the SSD is in will I still be able to swap with the mechanical hard-drives ok ? another question; I downloaded motherboard drivers for AHCI. Should I install them orchange the following registry key to 0:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\services\msahci\StartRestart the computer once (without changing any BIOS settings) and Windows will load default AHCI drivers. Let Windows sit for a minute or two after reboot to give it enough time to make sure this process happened. Restart the computer again and change the SATA operation to AHCI in BIOS. Save the BIOS settings & exit. I should notice that Windows is installing new hardware, which includes several SATA AHCI components.??? Thanks

No idea about hot swapping.
As for the AHCI drivers, you can make the registry change, and change the bios setting immediately during the next boot.
There's no need to do that extra first reboot or wait for driver installs. The drivers are already there. It's just a performance optimisation that it only loads the storage controller driver you used for install. All you're doing is telling it to load what's already there. And it's one of the first steps of Windows startup - long before the desktop or any installing new hardware dialogs.

Every other time I boot the MacBook it hangs at a grey screen with the prohibitory sign. Verbose reveals a "still waiting for root device" error. Now if I reboot from that hang, it boots fine, but then will hang again the next time. It keeps alternating like this. Any ideas??
I am not running any third party trim software, so that's not the issue.

I purchased CS6 Master Collection 6 days ago. Unfortunately I also received the same product as a gift.
I am half way through downloading and its currently paused. I have not tried to install or activated the serial key.
Would I be able to get a full refund on the product as technically it hasn't been activated or even received?

I recently got an iPhone 5 and I need some help...

Ive noticed on my siblings iPods, that it has the option of having my phone number as a way to send messages to their devices. Since those are not my devices, how can I have it that my number wont show up on their devices? My problem is, in their settings, in their iMessages, it has the option for them to use the number for my iPhone. How can I fix this? It doesnt happen with the other iPhone numbers in my house and its making me a little paranoid. Any help?

Could not get Crucial M500 SSD to work in Thinkpad X201

I have a ThinkPad X201 running Window 7, I have not make any changes to the computer hence all the hardware are original.Except when I recently bought a Crucial M500 SSD, First I use MiniTool to clone the HD to the new SSD. After cloning, I install the SSD into the X201. Window appear to boot up normally with no error message. But soon I notice the Window is not working correctly. For example Window no longer recognize Microsoft published program. For a simple thing like pressing Del to delete a file. A UAC warning will come on to asked if I will allow delete,exe from an unknown publisher to make changes to the computer.Then I tried to repair window by downloading the Window 7 ISO file from microsoft site and proceed to do an upgrade of Window, The upgrading process took quite a while. When everything appear to have finished an error message came on to say "Window setup could not configure windows to run on this computer's hardware". So I gave up on cloning and try to make a clean install of Wondow on the SSD by using the Recovery DVD that came with the computer. The installation process gone through but at the end it ask me to put in the supplementary disk which did not come with the computer. Hence I could not complete the process. I am at a total loss, what can I do next to get it to work?

Crucial normally supplies Apricorn EZ Gig software with their drives. If you don't have it, check Crucial's website and there should be a download available. It should work when it detects a Crucial drive connected.
I didn't understand that you said you were going to order an external enclosure. How did you do your clone with Minitool? If you were using an adapter cable, you should also be able to use it to connect the HDD externally.
The cloning software should take care of everything for you. The cloned disk should be a seamless, plug-and-play version of the original. You should not have to fix anything afterwards. Just boot it and start using it directly.

Recently purchased iPad 1

I purchased an iPad 1 on February 4th and I have heard that if you recently bought an iPad 1 Apple was offering something for them. Can I return it or is Apple offering something for recently purchased iPad 1s?

If you bought it directly from Apple after, I think, February 18th (maybe 16th ?), then they are refunding 100 dollars. As you say that you bought yours on Feb 4th then that is too long ago (if I've got the cut-off date right) - you qre also outside of the 30 day return/refund period.

The Camera Connection Kit works with SD cards, not Memory Sticks.
Maybe you can find an MS to SD adapter, or use the USB connection with the USB cable that came with the camera.

Could not install Windows Update / Crucial MX200

Hello, it is not possible for me to install a new Windows Update (KB3081424 for Win 10 Pro x64) on my new Crucial MX200 (m.2, 250GB, Firmware MU02). I use it in an Acer E5-771 laptop. Through the following entry in the event viewer, it seems that it has to do something with the SSD. EnhancedStorage-EhStorTcgDrvEvent-ID: 10 A TCG Command has returned an error.

Crucial V4 SSD performance

I have a Mac Mini (Late 2009) and a year ago I installed a Crucial V4 SSD 256GB drive. It seems that over time it has lost some of it's quickness. I contacted them and they gave me a procedure to follow and still not sure things are up snuff yet. I have looked at DiglloydTools Disktester to "recondition" my drive as something that might help. Has anyone had any recent experience with that and / or the Crucial V4 SSDs?
Crucial also has a firmware update for the V4 but the update needs to be run from a Windiws 7 or 8 PC. Anyone with experience with that?

I have only used 104GB of the 256GB on the Crucial V4, so 152 GB are available. I use it only to boot Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and I have my applications installed on it as well. I put data on other drives I have connected. I just thought that some of the programs may use the V4 as a scratch disc to temporarily write data to and it seems the write speeds are the problem if I understand SSDs.correctly.

I read that it is not on Snow Leopard only on Leopard....so do I need to get only Leopard? Can u advise?

Welcome to the Apple community.
iTunes and iCloud and different accounts, you will need to delete both accounts from your device before adding the new details in their place.
For iCloud go to settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit the delete button. You can then sign back in using your correct details. For iTunes go to settings >store, tap your account ID and then sign out, you can then sign back in using your correct Apple ID.
