I recently purchased a IP5 and found that the volume is lower by 20-30% compared to an IP 3/4s.........is possible? Apple has a solution?

Of course, this all began just about 2 weeks after my 3 years of AppleCare were up....
Call Apple Customer Relations - 1-800-767-2275.  Ask politely & firmly that you want to be transferred to Customer Relations.  Tell them exactly what you stated in your post.  See what they can do for you.
