    You need to use the serial number that comes with the purchase to activate the software.  If you have an issue with reards to the serial number, you need to contact Adobe Support either by chat or via phone when you have serial number and activation issues.

  • I have Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro on my desktop.  Can I also load into onto my laptop for working remotely with the same serial number?

    I use Adobe Pro on my desktop daily at the office and now will be handling work remotely from a laptop as well.  Adobe Pro is essential for my work (bates stamping, redaction, advanced editing, etc). Can I use the same serial number and installation disc to load this on my laptop?  There are no instructions that speak to this issue and I know other programs I have installed provided for both desktop and laptop access.  It isn't like I am giving use of this product to another user or pirating it, so I can't foresee an issue. Any information is much appreciated.  Thank you!

    Adobe End User License Agreement entitles you to install a singe retail license on 2 computers at any instance.
    So you can load Acrobat 9 license on the other computer too.

  • Recently purchased Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Extended.

    I was using 8 and was having issues with LifeCycle. Now that I have loaded the new version with the LifeCycle Designer ES 8.2 that came with the upgrade crashes when I try to upload a form to continue work.
    I have gone through the process of deleting the software package and re-installing but with the same result. I downloaded what was supposed to be a "fix" but when I attempted to implement it (Designer82_English_sp21) got a message it could not find the software. I used all defaults whith the original setup so .................. ???????? Help!

    This is Jrthom12. I do not know if my user name will show it. I have been having logon issues. I looked at the windows explorer section you mentioned. The box is unchecked and I still can only see the default icon (and not the first page/cover of the document). I tried what you suggested. When I had windows vista 32bit on the laptop, it worked fine. Is there something with the 64bit system that prevents this? I am using home premium. This is not a major issue, because windows seven would be my next upgrade and the release is just a few weeks away. If I can find the solution, that would be great. The only thing I have not done is update my video drivers (still using default drivers that came with the system). I will try that and see.

    We might want to have a look at the install logs to determine the cause.
    Please try the following basic steps :
    > Enable the hidden Admin Account on Windows 7 ( Ref :  http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/enable-the-hidden-administrator-account-on-wi ndows-vista/ )
    > Disable all Non-Microsoft Startup Services. (Ref : http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/disable-startup-items-services-windows.html )
    > Disable all the Antivirus softwares like CA, Norton,Mc Afee etc. temporarily from the computer.
    Reboot and try installing in the new enabled Admin user account and check.

    you cannot use your pc license to install on a mac.  you would need a separate license (and serial number) for that.
    adobe allows platform swaps, but only with the latest (xi) version, Order product | Platform, language swap
    your option to use acrobat on a mac are to upgrade to acrobat pro xi and change platforms, use a windows emulator (parallels/boot camp etc) on your mac or swap with a third party.

    Creative Cloud just wasn't working for me, so after several years of frustration with being abroad and not online when the program decided to require online verification, I'm ditching Creative Cloud and reverting to the purchased Adobe Acrobat XI Pro point product. However, after uninstalling Creative Cloud Desktop (and CC-based Acrobat XI Pro), it still wants to go online and check my CC subscription, disallowing use of the newly installed point product version from a several year-old ESD file (and the more recent AcrobatUpd11010.dmg file).
    Anyone have an idea of how to eliminate request to renew my subscription?
    If, as a journalist, I've have these issues over the past two years, including this final insult when I'm trying to get away from CC, it can't be a one-off problem. So I'd like to hear details about others who've had a similar issue with reverting from CC back to a point product or to CS.

    I have to reinstall adobe acrobat 9 pro for mac -- I had to reinstall the full CS5 package, and I had no issues reinstalling Indesign, Photoshop and Illustrator from the original disks, but when I insert the AA9 Pro disk, it appears to download, and I'm able to open it, but as soon as I eject the disk, it disappears. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. (not sure this has anything to do with it, but the other CS5 disk in the suite package -- for indesign, photoshop and illustrator -- prompted me for my serial number and product code, but when I inserted the disk for AA9 Pro, that didn't happen.) Any suggestions?

    There is some process for the CS version where you are supposed to open one of the other products and then complete the Acrobat install/activation. It seems a bit strange to someone like me without CS, but I have seen such several times. You might want to ask in the CS forum about the details. The details of the install is about all you may need to go to the CS forum for -- other Acrobat specific questions are fine here.
    If you wait, it may be that other CS users will be by to help with the variations for that install.
