I recently purchased an IPad 2 wifi with 3 G.
I can hook up to my WiFi but I don't know how to tell if it is browsing the net using the 3G or it is using WiFi. The icons in the upper LH corner say Vorizion and have the WiFi icon next to it. which is it using and can I force it to use WiFi?

If there is a usable wifi network (e.g. it knows the wifi network password) then that will be used in preference to 3G - if there is a wifi symbol at the top left of the screen then that should indicate that wifi is being used. If you want to be absolutely sure that you aren't using 3G (e.g. if the wifi network is weak and it occasionally disappears), then you can should be able to turn off 3G in Settings > Cellular Data

I have recently purchased an IPad Air. This comes with "IPhoto" as well as it's usual photo App. I do not have a Mac, instead I am syncing it to my windows PC. Is there any way of actually moving a picture around, (arranging photos in a single album), in either of these apps???? They claim to be able to "Organize" or "arrange" Photos, but for the life of me I can't figure out how......could you recommend any apps that actually allow someone to move individual photos around on an IOS Device.
No, reordering within folders and albums is not supported. the yare arranged automatically by date. I found this, but I have not used any of the apps besides iPhone. You might check the descriptions to see if they do what you need.

I just recently purchased the iPad wireless keyboard and I've followed all the steps, but everytime I type in the code to pair it, it says it cannot be paired. I've kept in close range, pushed the connect but it won't connect. What do I do?

disconnect your laptop from the existing wifi network
Connect to the default Apple Networkxxxxxxxxx - that is your AEX open network
Go to the Airport Utility and set the AEX router to extend the Existing Network >> in the AirPort Tab > Wireless Tab >> Wireless Mode - choose your Linksys network and enter credentials - your AEX should now join the Linksys network
Then switch back to your original wifi network and your AEX should show in the AirPort utility as well, extending the range of your Linksys network, green light on
PS: Win XP support for WP2 authentication downright *****. Even with SP3, get ready for some "cannot connect" warnings. My Dell laptop from work would have major issues connecting to my home's AirPort WPA2. I had to downgrade to WPA at some point. -

i recently purchased an ipad from a pawn shop. the original owner is still linked to itunes/store. I do not know who the original owner is, and i have a new Apple id that i can use. Unfortunately, the ipad wont let me enter my info until this device is separated from the original owners account. Help???
was on the phone with Apple last night, Saturday. had a technician that was helping me, but upon 10:00central time.....disconnected. They said i had to show legal proof of purchase. (which i have) Gonna call 'em back on Monday and see what happens......... just thought someone might know a trick to removing this old user.

I'm trying to sync my ipad over wifi, with my MAC, I have the updated software on my MAC, the ipad is up to dat 6.1.2. I can follow all of the steps, but I can't find a SUMMARY button on the toolbar, nor do I receive the option to sync. What am I doing wrong or what should I look for? Thank You
To sync your iPad over Wifi:
First ensure you're running iTunes 11.0.2. And you already have your iPad up to date, good.
Plug your iPad into the Mac via USB. Click your iPad in the top toolbar (under the search bar). Click the Summary tab if it isn't already selected. Check the box to "Sync with this iPad over Wi-Fi" (you may have to scroll down to see it). And now click the Apply button at the bottom right.
You should be able to unplug your iPad from the Mac and it should still remain in iTunes. (If not, try Quitting and relaunching iTunes and waiting, restarting iPad, etc).
To initiate a sync over Wifi, click your iPad in the toolbar in iTunes then click Sync. Or on your iPad, go to Settings > General > iTunes Wifi Sync and tap "Sync Now."
If this didn't solve your problem, please let me know with a more detailed explanation of what you're experiencing so I can try to help you get up and syncing wirelessly! -

You do not need anti virus for the iPad. The ipad only installs things from the App Store and those apps are vetted. In addition, the operating system of the ipad isn't the same as PC's or Macs so common viruses don't run on them.
The only thing you need to be aware of is protecting your info....Go to a bad site and enter your info and you're just as vulnerable as you would be on a computer. So the device isn't vulnerable to anything but user actions. -

Question about the IPad 2 wifi with 3G
I am thinking about to buy the iPad 2 wifi with 3G but I wondering if I could buy it without contract ( no sim card and any data plan ) so that I don't need to pay additional cost everymonth since I already have an iPhone with data plan. I just need to buy a 3G version to use when I travel between country. Are there possible to buy it in Apple web site and only get it with out contract an data plan like iPhone?
It might depend on what country you are in and therefore buying it. They are not locked in the USA (though the Verizon models are effectively locked as they are CDMA based, not GSM/sim based), nor here in the UK. They can be bought and used without signing up to a contract or even activating 3G on them.

I recently purchased the I Mac 2013 with Maverick OS X. I can no longer open documents that created in AppleWorks 6, PowerPC, my 2004 operating system.
PowerPC applications haven't been supported since 10.7. You will need to buy newer programs compatible with Mavericks.

After making the purchase money was taken from both my store credit and my credit card associated with the account. Why? The incident is extremely annoying and I am dissapointed with Apple's services. With Apple being a fortune 500 company, why would it resort to ripping off a customer.
If you were instructed to call them, then that's what you should do. They will probably need to verify your identity before helping you with the security question.
