The reason I asked is I like using Verizon Messages and found out via a chat on your website that with iMessaging, you can't see those messages on Verizon Messages. This phone is for a teen ager so I want to make sure all of the fun things about an iPhone are still intact if I turn off iMessage. r do you know of an Apple product that works the same way as Verizon Messages?

Speak with an AppleCare advisor either over the phone or by chat.
They will remove your phone number from the iMessage system. That's it! Otherwise after 45 days your phone nymber will automatically be removed from the system. Now or later, it's your choice.

To try and stop it happening again you might have a Settings > General > Restrictions > Require Password setting on your iPad / iPhone / iPod Touch which you can set to 'Immediately' (the default is a 15 minute period during which your password doesn't need re-entering), and you can also turn off in-app purchases via the Restrictions screen -

Thank you for any help I appreciate it. Apple products came highly recomended to me, and I have been largely happy with my i phone, i pod, i pad mini and macbook. I admit I tunes always confused me, it is so hard to copy things back and forth from computer to device or vice versa. Most importantly my partner has given me a set of CD with audio books, legitimate CD's not burned copies, and I wish to play them on my i pod touch. I have donethis before with CD''s, however now I look i see all the songs and audio books from CD's have been removed from my device after synch with my itunes on my macbook??? and I can no longer cooy the new CDs on to there? i try put them in the library, and they show up but they are not in black printing like the other songs, they are a faded grey color. They play on the mac book in itunes, so i know they are THERE, they just wont go on my device??? What am I doing wrong and why did all my other ones turn to grey gaded text and go off my i pod.
Furthermore, i thank anyone who takes time to help me, it isnt your job, it is apple's job, but they want me to pay forty bucks for the priviledge of contacting them for help because my warranty expired !! They obviously did something with a new update of their i tunes, there should be NO DIFFICULTY copying audio books i legally own the CD for onto my i pod, why is it so impossible? I have asked my father, my brother, my flat mate, no one can work it out, so its not just that im an idiot.
People warned me that apple does things like this, makes stupid programs like i tunes, that make nothing but trouble so you have to pay to ask for help, and make it so you have to buy everything from their library not on CD. I woudl buy from them if they had the audio books and songs I wished to purchase but they don't always have what i want. And if they did why shoudl i pay AGAIN when i paid for the CD already , i paid for the I pod, i legally own them both so why can i not put my own music on there??? It makes me miss my simple MP3 player where i just plugged it to my computer and copy/paste. It really makes me wonder why when i POD is so much more expensive why its so much more trouble and you have to pay to ask for help??? I really have enjoyed my macbook (After being windows used all my life), i love my i pad and i phone, and until now i adored my i pod, but if it's not going to let me listen to my own music and audio files i may as well throw it in the trash and go get a mp3 player, and warn everyone I know. If there IS a way to copy my own music to the device then WHY IS IT SO HARD?? Just to make people pay to ask for help or what?
I am a loyal apple customer, All my devices are apple and until now i have been happy and willing to pay more for a good product. But i tunes is ridiculous! It's already synched things i didnt want synched and deleted things i didn twant deleted, and thats fine i told myself maybe im too dumb and dont get it. buT i've been trying all week and asked other peopel and still cant get this simple task done, and after purchasing their devices and recommending them to my friends, its a slap in the face to say they wont even let me ask a support question without paying forty bucks! A very unhappy customer-- not just that i cant pplay my music and audio books, but that i cant even contact anyone for help without paying after i purcahsed four different products off them in the two years!The sort fields should generally be empty unless you've putting in custom values to sort solo artists by their surnames. You can apply common changes to thousands of tracks at once, just don't apply the wrong change because there is no undo.
It is a good idea to backup before undertaking large scale changes. See this backup tip for a suggested approach.

I am "not too computer savvy" so if you are going to answer my question.. Please take super baby steps (thx in advance).. Okay, now I have a 1 yr old Imac I am using 10.6.8 (do not know what that means) but everytime I call Apple support they ask me.. So I figured you may need to know as well. I really love Firefox (easier for me) and I was trying to download a coupon printing thing to print from Coupons.com (plz don't laugh..economy sux) anyways, the operator at coupons.com told me how to install it. Can't remember but if not immediately after or not long after?? It seems that ALL my images on EVERY website are gone. It is very frustrating because I can not see (for example on Ebay where to click "buy it now" or "continue" unless it seems I sometime get lucky and click where it says "image" but there isn't one. It looks like a set of shark teeth actually right beside the word "image" very jaggedy teeth, I guess?? So I have been using Safari. There is no problem with ANY of those website images. I go on the same basic sites so that is how I know that. I have only downloaded music I think 3x. I do not download much at all. I would really love to use Firefox, being the un-savvy computer person I am... Firefox is easier to navigate for me. Thanks SO much!
Make sure that you allow pages to choose their colors and that you haven't enabled High Contrast in the Accessibility settings.

I have iphone 5 and can not send a text to one person who has iphone 4s and on same family plan
I have an iphone 5... and also a family plan. I can not send a text to my daughter on the same plan. She has an iphone 4s. I have tried mulitiple things to get this to work.... It started about 10 days ago... I have delete text stream for her and any group messages. Also her contact in contacts. Also readded her contact with area code....then with 1 ...then just with 1... All rebooting in between each new thing i did... Checked to see if sms is turned on ..yes and turned it off... turned of imessages and back on... rebooting in between. Also signed out of and back into apple id. Also with reboots... did a soft reset. Upgraded to ios 8 about 2 days ago... And a few times in last 10 days i could send for a few hours then it was gone again...... VERY frustrated at this point....Also i can text many others including iphones and so can she....

When you or her try to send each other messages, do you receive any error messages while it is sending? If it is for iMessages, have you tried to send while connected to WiFi?

Now they are saying that only movies purchased before July 10, 2014, can you download the Extras content. ***?
And i only found this after searching the web for the last 3 hours.
So if you want to watch the extras, you have to have an internet connection and stream it.
What about if i don't have an WIFI connection and want to watch on a plane or a car ride. What is the point of buying a movie to enjoy if you can only do that based on a wifi connection.
No where on the films page, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug (Extended Edition), does it say extra content is only streamable. It only says "This HD purchase "INCLUDES" online access to iTunes Extras" - It does not say limited to. This is very misleading.
I would not have bought the film if i had know that. In fact, the only reason i bought this was for the extras because the other Hobbit and LOTR movie extended editions have been so awesome on the making of the film.....
This is bogus. I want my money back so i can buy the Blu Ray. At least then i can take it and watch whenever i like... not just when i am connected to WIFI. -
I've imported a video (.mp4) and the swf works fine. The problem happens when I move the .swf and the .mp4 to other folder or to a pendrive. I've checked the route in properties and it's ok. Can you help me?

i have an ipod trying to import my pictures frommy ipod to my macbook using iphoto. so i went into iphoto and i can see my ipod under devices and when i click on it, it opens saying loading.... but no images are coming up no matter how how i have waited. how to fix this? or how to see my images?

How can I get the Icons at the bottom of an email to show so I can touch the reply icon to respond to an email?
Open multi-tasking by double-clicking on the home button. Find the mail app, hold it down until it wiggles, then click on the minus sign to close it. Perform a reset on the phone. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. After the phone restarts, open the mail and see if everything is corrected.
