I recently updated my iPhone. My update went great, but after updating my wifes, all her pictures and videos were missing. Is there a way to retrieve them?
Was a backup done prior to the update? If so, restore the backup.
As designed, the Camera Roll on the iPhone is temporary storage. Copy the pictures/videos off to the computer the device normally syncs with then sync the desired pics/vids back to the device via iTunes.

Those photos were important so how do I retireve it all back?Ok if your running the latest version of iTunes on your pc or mac go on iTunes connect your iPad to your MacBook using your USB cable and wait for it to respond then click restore to whatever version you were on when you had your photos then backup on iTunes and upgrade then when your update finished and your done with the setup on your iPad click restore from backup. i updated the version to my i phone 4 and deleted my photos and contacts...is there a way to get them back...i am not sure i backed up the data
Contacts are synced with a compatible programme on your computer (Outlook, Windows Contacts, Address book etc) or with a cloud service (iCLoud, Google, Yahoo). Sync your contacts back from wherever you were making the backup of them. If you have not been backing them anywhere, then they are most likely gone.
If you updated the iOS through iTunes and assuming that your photos were present at the time of update and you deleted the photos afterwards; you may try restoring the iPhone from the last backup, provided that you had not synced your iPhone after deleting the photos.

I got the iOs5 update for my iPhone and I just checked my videos and photos in the camera roll and there is none there. It's all gone. Why? iTunes didn't ask me if I wanted to save my photos or what not, it just asked me if it wanted to back up my apps and stuff, which I said yes. Some conspiracy is going on . I upgraded my iphone and before upgrade, obviously iTunes backed up my iphone. After upgrade, lost all my contacts and I feel the icloud *****. Trying to contact apple asks me to pay for support. Isn't this annoying, on one side they keep reminding you to upgrade to new ios and then when you upgrade, you loose everything. Not happy right now

You should be able to re-download them (if they are still in the store) via the Purchased tab in the App Store app - or if you have copies of them on your computer's iTunes then you can sync them back to your phone

if you wanna get back your pictures and notes restore your friend iphone on your pc but make sure that your friend had the same name of your iphone and the same verison of the old sofware before you update , after that all your contact and note and everything are on your friend iphone , you can copy them in a way or another , I did this with my sister iphone , no matter what is the two iphone's generation the sofware verison is the trick xxx

You can put the iPhone that went into water into a plastic baggie with either new silica gel packets (preferred) or raw rice and let it sit for 4 - 5 days. After that time remove the phone and connect it to power for at least a half hour. While it is still connected to power reset it by holding down the power and hold button, wait for the Apple logo then let go of the buttons. Might take several tries. If it revives immediately back it up. -

I was trying to Import photos to my computer and was asked to upgrade my Iphone before importing. In restoring my Iphone, it deleted all of my 200 new photos and they are now gone. Is there any way to retrieve them?
You should ALWAYS import all pics ( and anything selse for that matter) before any update.
If you failed to do this, then the pics are likely gone. You can try restoring from backup. -
My parent's IPad is SUPER outdated and I'm trying to buy an app for my brother for Christmas. However, I can't buy the app because it says we need to update the software. The thing is, the computer that was connected to the IPAD, we no longer have. So is there any way I can update it on my mac without erasing all the photos and videos?

If you mean you deleted the files from Pages on your phone whilst using iCloud, then yes they will disappear from Pages on your iPad too.
If you simply deleted the app from your phone, if you were using iCloud then they should not have disappeared from your iPad.

You restored your iPhone with iTunes from the backup for your iPod Touch?
If so, photos/videos that were in your iPhone's Camera Roll should have been imported by your computer before doing this. You could then transfer these photos/videos back to your iPhone via the iTunes sync process. -
CAn you please tell me how I can get all the photos and video from my iPad and iPhone that aren't in photo stream so I can get them from my iCloud onto my PC please.
If you don't physically have the phone then there is no way for you to get the photos or videos.
Have you been backing up your phone? http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766 if so, you can restore that backup to your new phone and get all your contents back.

When I downloaded the update to 10.9.4 on my Macbook, I lost the photos in my two projects in iPhoto. Is there a way to retrieve them?
I have just found out that my Mac doesn't back up to iCloud. So, have enabled Time Machine. I didn't realise I had to setup the backups - thought they were automatic in the iCloud. Thanks for your help
