I recently updated my ipod to ios8 and now it won't turn on !please help me!!!!!!!!
I seriously need my ipod to work but since I downloaded ios8 a day ago it won't turn back on.
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

One user reported that placing the iPod in the freezer fixed the problem. A trick that works frequently with iPhones:
Settings > AirPlane Mode ON, Do Not Disturb ON
Power down and wait 5-10 minutes
Power up
Settings > AirPlane Mode OFF, Do Not Disturb OFF

I've heard a lot of different theories on how to revive water-damaged iPods. You should search the forums--you will most likely get hundreds of similar posts. Methods I can think of off of the top of my head are:
1. Put in a warm bowl of rice in a warm spot
2. Put on a sunny windowsill for several hours
3. (probably don't try unless you're totally desperate) put in a warm oven on a towel with the door open for a very short time
These are only a few options... if you use the search option you will find many, many more.

Look elsewhere on the internet, or pay $99 to join as a developer and then you can get access to the forum that might have your answer. -
My imac g5 from 2004 crashed, and now it won't turn on. Help?
Not much else to say. My i-mac G5 which I bought in 2004 started crashing ocassionally a while back. It would always restart, but then the power button started not working. I would sometimes have to push the button many times to get it to start. Am I f**ked?
Try opening the case and see if the power button contact is properly aligned. Once the case is open, inspect for bulging or leaking capacitors.

Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Click the disclosure triangle to the left of the hard drive icon to display the names of your hard disk volumes and partitions.
5. Select your Mac OS X volume.
6. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk.
Then reboot and repair perm issions. -

I recently updated to 10.8.2 and now my notes from my iphone no longer appear in my mail nor do my calender appointments. Is there any way to change it so they will appear?
If it has the same (bad) behavior on two different systems then there is a very good chance that the drive is toast.
BTW you'll get better response to your questions if the question actually reflects the problem you are having. In this case it would have been better to say you couldn't access the drive rather then that it doesn't show on the desktop.

After charging the iPod for half an hour, see if placing the iPod in recovery mode will allow iTunes to see the iPod so you can restore the iPod. For recovery mode see:

I updated my iPod/iTunes software and now I can't get it to shuffle songs in a playlist; it either shuffles albums in a playlist or songs on the whole iPod, neither of which is what I want to do. How do I get it to shuffle songs in just one playlist?
The shuffle setting in the main menu will shuffle through the entire library as you have found out.
You need to go to settings>shuffle this will toggle through off/song/album. Once you have set this it will stay the same until you change the setting.
Now when you start playing a song in a playlist the iPod will shuffle through that playlist (or if you select your song through artist then it will shuffle through all the songs for that artist etc) -

Also a security password has appeared on my iPhone which is 4 didgets long that I don;t recall setting up. This is blocking me updating IOS. It is usually alpha numeric.Yeah that is what I thought, but the passcode used to be alpha numeric and just changed to being 4 didgets and I don;t recall making that change. This is only to approve updates on my iPhone. The other issue is on my mac pro.

I am really sorry I upgraded so quickly to ios8.
Not only do I not have my ATT but my pics "events from mac" are in some unknow order. I have 220 folders that are not alpabetized. I cannot find any pictures.
On the Macbook Air the events are perfect, all in alphabetic order. When they transferred they are mixed. Faces are mixed now.
THis new operating system is horrible. How do I go back to 7.

Everything is completely up to date, and when I plug my iPhone into the computer, it makes the normal beep sound, and charges, but will not sync or show on iTunes so that I can sync anything..

I know you have said you have tried everything but have you tried out some of the troubleshooting in the article below? For instance, have you checked the Apple Mobile Device support is installed properly and if the Apple Mobile Device is installed? Take a look at the article below to double check some of the things you have done to see if you can get your iPhone to show back up.

I was just thinking... Until I actually have a BluRay burner, why would I record and edit in AVCHD? Would it be quicker to edit in FCE4 to edit in (recorded) SD or should I record in the highest quality HD setting and then burn in standard DVD... D
