I recently updated to FF 9.0.1. I am on a macbook running lion. Since the update, I can no longer type just mozilla or cnn without having to type the whole address. How do I fix this?

I was able to fix this issue on the last update of FF in the console of FF. Now I am unable to find the command that allows the browser to automatically find the address I am looking for. I know it is not "Autofill". What happens is, I type just "mozilla" or "cnn" and it takes me to my isp's search. Instead of taking me to the most likely site.
Here is where it takes me - http://dnssearch.rr.com/index.php?origURL=http%3A//mozilla/&r=
Can anyone help?

That "fix" may not work completely or all the time. Road Runner has been re-directing failed DNS requests for almost 3 years now.
