I recently upgraded to lion 10.7 and now I can't open itunes or do any software upgrades. Not even 10.7.1! Help
I just upgraded to lion 10.7 and when I tried to use itunes an error message came up saying that itunes may not work with this version of Mac OS X. So I tried to update my software, starting wtih 10.7.1 and it said "Mac OS X update cant be installed on this disk. The volume does not meet hte requirements for this update."
I have 48.19 GB on my HD so I'm not sure why it's saying that. I tried to do skip ahead to 10.7.5 and it said the same thing.
I think you're using a Lion developer version. Open > About this Mac > More Info, and copy Software here. Did you purchase Lion in the App Store?

Help! Have just upgraded my iphone5 to iOS7 and now I can't open my Spreadsheet.
Help: I have just upgraded my iphone5 to iOS7 and now I can't open my Spreadsheets........
That one is typically caused by a problem with your QuickTime. (iTunes uses QuickTime for audio and video playback.) The following document may be of some assistance:

HT1926 Latest iTunes software wont completely download and now I can't open iTunes at all?
Hi! I really hope someone can help me with this-
iTunes just had a popup that there was new software to install, so I chose the update to iTunes. The download was almost finished, but then it stopped and said there was a problem with the download (obviously) and to try to install it from within the program. Fine by me. Only, I can't open iTunes now?? It tells me that, "The item refered to by this shortcut cannot be accessed. You may not have the appropriate permissions."
I'm not even going to try and pretend that I know what that means, lol. I searched my entire computer for iTunes and every shortcut/folder/etc with 'iTunes' in it gives me an error message of some sorts. D:
I even tried to re-download iTunes from this site, but it gets halfway and then gives me error message 2324.
What do I do from here? I really don't want to uninstall iTunes (if it even still exists on my computer) because I'm afraid I'll all the modified song information that I just spent literately hours updating last week. >_<
-SicaSimilar problem here. iTunes11 notified me it was available. However, auto-update failed. So, I downloaded for manual update. That failed with "permission" message. I am administrator on this machine (WIN7). I tried uninstalling old version, but it failed with same permission issue. I now can't start iTunes... throws permission message. So, I'm completely dead in the water. Does this stuff get tested before it's shipped?

Itunes told me to download and now i can't open itunes
It told me to download version 7.1.1 and i did. Once i did that i restarted my computer and when i tried to open itunes it told me that the action is valid only when the product is installed. So i went back to itunes online and re-downloaded it. When it got to the removing of the old itunes it came up with this Documentsandsettings\allusers\applicationdata\applecomputer\installercache\itun es7.1.0.59\itunes.msi It told me to try and locat this and i did i couldn't find it anyplace on my computer
What should i do know...i have over 4000 songs and im not about to delete itunes from my computer and reinstall it, because i will lose alot of my songs.
Windows XPwhen i tried to open itunes it told me that the action is valid only when the product is installed. So i went back to itunes online and re-downloaded it. if no joy with beau's suggestion, try the following procedure.
first, head into your Add/Remove programs and uninstall your QuickTime. if it goes, good. if it doesn't, we'll just attend to it when we attend to itunes.
next, download and install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. use it to clear any existing itunes and/or QuickTime installation configuration information from the PC.

next, use the the following document as a guide for manual removal of leftover itunes and quicktime program files:

now try another itunes install. does it go through properly this time? -
Memory is supposedly Full, deleted some files, and now I can't open Itunes.
I have a Macbook Pro but I don't play any games, I've never downloaded movies, but I do download music approx. 16GB and pictures...though not sure how to see how much memory these take up. Recently I've had trouble because my computer keeps notifying me that there is no space on the startup disk...which I can't understand why because I don't really have many files or programs on my computer. I've been deleting old files or things I don't really use and now my Itunes won't open saying there's an error (13014). So I have several questions, what is the best way to make space on the "startup disk" whatever that means, and how can I fix the error that's preventing me from accessing itunes? I have a feeling that my pictures might be taking up a lot of the space, how do I know when a single picture is too large and how could I condense them? Also when the memory gets full, my Microsoft Word starts acting all funky, is it because of the full memory? Thanks for your time:)
-DannyJust as a matter of info you have posted in the MacBook Pro (Late 2008 and 2009) > Using your MacBook Pro (Late 2008 and 2009) forums. Not that your issue matters matters so much where it's posted but in the future you would want to post where users have similar hardware as you do, MacBook Pro (Original)

In any case as F Shippey suggests you may have directory issues. If Disk Utility cannot repair the directory then you may need a stronger disk utility like DiskWarrior to rebuild the directory. -

How do i fix error 126?
I Had this problem along with the error message that it's missing the driver GNSDK_DSP.DLL. I am Windows XP and fixed the error by going to Start>My Computer>Add or Remove Programs
When the Add or Remove programs list is "populated", Find iTunes on it. Click the link that says "For more information" and the iTunes box will expand. You will see a button that says "Repair" and it says to reinstall the program if it is not working correctly, use the "Repair" button. I clicked the Repair button and it automatically started the reinstall. When all the progress bars disappear (it doesn't really give you any other indication that its done) click the "close" button and try to open iTunes again. It worked first time for me. I also saw another forum where someone said it worked for the other Windows versions by following the same route, just that in other windows versions it might be "Computer" instead of "My Computer" and the Add or Remove Programs function is also called something else. Hope this helps somebody having this problem. It drove me crazy finding the answer, but the fix was super simple once I found out what to do. -

I don't know what I did wrong but last night I wanted to purchase some music to download on my nana gen 1 and it wouldn't let me unless I updated, so I did...well now my itunes won't open at all! The shortcut Icon is on my screen but it won't work...HELP!!! I don't want to lose all of my music! I wan't to cry!! Does anyone know what to do?
Hello bajura007,
Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with installing the latest iTunes update. I recommend following the steps below:
Resolution
Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
Check for .dll files
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
Reboot your computer.
Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.
When you get to the step to uninstall iTunes, it is important to uninstall iTunes and the related components in the order listed in the link for that step.

I recently had an update to my Firefox account and since then cannot use it at all. When I try to a window opens which says the following:
The application or DLL C:/Program Files/Mozilla/Firefox/xul.dll is not a valid Windows image. Please check your installation diskette. Please do the following.
Go to [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html Download Firefox v3.6.17] and download it to the desktop.
Then go to Add/Remove Programs, scroll down to '''Mozilla Firefox '''and remove it, choosing to keep your bookmarks, customizations etc., (''don't checkmark the box'').
Then reboot and delete the folder called '''Mozilla Firefox '''at this location: ''C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox''
Finally run the installation file you downloaded to the desktop earlier.
Your bookmarks, customizations etc., are maintained in a different location and will become available to you again once you complete the installation.
This is what's known as a 'clean install'. It will overwrite the corrupt files which are preventing Firefox from starting. -
I cannot get into my Ipad 2 because a hotmail box pops up saying that i have the wrong password. I recently changed my password and i don't know if thats why or how to change it on my Ipad since i can't get in. thanks
What happens if you tap the home button from that page?
I think you must have push turned on for your mail, and that is the first thing it is trying to do. But from anyscreen, any time, if you hit the home button, it should return you to the home screen. From there, go to settings and do the work on the mail section. -
