I recently used iCloud to back up an iPhone 5S to the Cloud and then in iTunes reset the phone to factory settings. Where do I find the contents that were backed-up especially the photo's?
I recently used iCloud backup on my iPhone 5S and then restored the phone to factory settings in iTunes. The contents of the phone is "somewhere" in the Cloud but I don't know where to find it on my Mac Book Pro - accessing my iCloud account just shows all the devices that are backed-up but not where the contents of the phones are.
Specifically I am trying to locate photographs.
Any help will be appreciated.
A backup to iCloud is not designed to be accessed or viewed -- it is designed only for use in doing a restore to the phone or iOS device. Following has instructions on how to do that http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203977
iCloud Photo Library (beta) iCloud Photo Library beta FAQ - Apple Support does support storing photos on iCloud and accessing them from a web browser from your Mac (and likely in the near future from a new Photos app on your Mac) but that is something different than an iCloud backup.

I'm going from an IPAD1 to an IPAD4. If I back up my IPAD to the cloud and then download to the new IPAD, will it retain game data so I won't have to start my games over?

Yes, however you would be much better backing it up to iTunes to do this rather than iCloud. -
my ipod out of nowhere he erased all the songs and then they reset everything as if I had just purchased apps, photos, notes, erase everything and I just do not know what happens first erased all the songs and then complete a reset step? and
Glitches happen sometimes. Just restore from backup
To restore from backup see:
iOS: How to back up
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store -
i have a crack in the back part of the macbook screen in the plastic and it is not caused by me it just cracked over time i was wondering if that would be covered in the $250 extra applecare warrenty?

Where does time machine store content that would be found in the Finder window under "All Images, All Movies, All Documents"? Also, I have many Garageband projects and mp3 files I can't find.
Easiest way to find time machine files is to open up the folder or application(works for email and iphoto) they were in - then click on time machine ICON or enter time machine from the time machine menu to go back through the files.

Can i combine my husbands contacts and mine if we have two different itune accounts and emails and passwords? Can both sets of contacts live on the cloud and be donwloaded to both our phones?
Hey NON-TECHNO-WIZARD
You can do one of two things. The first is to just export out the contacts and import them into each other’s account. If something is updated the other person will not be updated with the information. Now another options is using one Apple ID for iCloud Syncing and then you can still use individual Apple ID’s for store purchases. The article below will shed some light on how you can use the Apple ID.

I just purchased an iPhone 5 and my phone has many duplicate contacts on it. I want to edit my contact list that's saved on the cloud and then replace the contacts on my phone with the edited list. I have spent hours but no success yet.
Okay
So when you edit in iCloud you are not seeing an update on your iphone?. I just did a test in iCloud.com and it changed my iPhone contact list in less than 1 second. So iCloud is functioning fine.
If you delete all the contacts on your iPhone and if you are properly synced they will all be wiped out on iCloud.....ugh! So let's not do that...
Your plan should be to make all the changes in iCloud and have them flow down to your iPhone. That sounds what you are trying to do anyway.
So. if you delete a contact in iCloud or edit a contact in iCloud then you are not seeing the changes on your iPhone?
If so then they are not properly synced..... but I wonder how you have any contacts in iCloud.
Let me know if you are seeing any changes, if mot then we can review the syncing set-up.

Can I have access to all my imported music and movies in iTunes even though my external hard drive went bad with the acutal files, if i purchase iCloud through iTunes.
You say "ripped" music. That is not stored on iCloud unless you subscribe to Match. As for iTunes Store purchases:
Downloading (using iOS or computer) past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store - http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519 - enabled with iTunes 10.3 and newer; not all media formats are available in all countries (see: iTunes in the Cloud and iTunes Match Availability by Country - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5085); apps, books (not audiobooks), music, t.v. shows, and movies (some - not all studios have permitted this). Downloading previously purchased movies and TV shows requires iTunes 10.6 or later. Discontinued items not available. For items not included in the iCloud list (e.g., ringtones, audiobooks), or locations or computer systems where iCloud is not (yet?) available, you only get one download per fee paid. Apple notes it is your responsibility to back up your purchases.
Select the iTunes Store on the left side of iTunes.
Click on Purchased on the right side under Quick Links.
You can re-download your available previous purchases.
Of course if you had a backup of your files you would have been back up adn running iTunes by the time you read all this. -
Where do I find my pictures that are backed up on my PC from my Iphone?
I can't find my pictures and video that were backed up on my PC on iTunes..is there a name of a file and where would I find it?
Two questions...I'm trying to cet some pictures from my wife's Iphone printed and don't know how. I thought they would be in a file on our PC per my first question. How do you import pics and videos from her iPhone to the computer and conversely, how do I transfer some of them to a cd so I can get printouts.
Question two...I just got a replacement iTouch and want to get the pictures from the orginal (which I no longer have) from my computer back on to the new iTouch...thanks for your help! -
With my iPhone 5s, can I record a long voice memo to the cloud and not worry about storage space on phone?
You can't add music to the cloud, whether it will show there for streaming and redownloading depends upon what country that you are in. If you are in a country where music is available in the cloud then you don't have to download the music from the store, if you turn Settings > iTunes & App Store > Music (under the 'show all' heading) 'on' then you should be able to stream purchased music in the Music app without downloading it - your phone will need to be online in order to stream, and if using 3G/4G then it will use some of your data allowance.
If you download an album or a track then it will be downloaded onto your phone. You can't upload music to the cloud from an iOS device. Whether music that you've bought shows for streaming depends upon what country that you are in and if the album or track remains in the store (unless you've subscribed to iTunes Match), and if you are connected to a network. -
What is the name of the file I need to resync back to what I had before I reinstalled Windows7/Itunes?
I don't want to lose all of my apps. iTunes does see the phone but either has miscalcuated and told me I'm over
the size of my allocated sizes for music/apps, but when I uncheck, it still won't sync.
Best way, I assume is to go back to the last backup. So help me out here, what are the file (s) I need and
where are they best stored? I have all my music now on my J drive, not my C drive.
Can anyone help me?
Thanks,
SueI backed up to the iCloud and to my computer. Only thing I seem to be missing is a couple playlists. I just didn't want to lose my paid apps.
So what I see in my music folder and then another folder called iTunes and then files like iTunes Library, iTunes Library extras, iTunes Music Library aren't anything that is a back up, I take it, since you said the back up would be under programs? If this statement is true, now I "get" it!
And just to be clear, in iTunes, in my apps, there are all the apps I have gotten for free or paid for. But the problem there was that the Sync was grayed out and if I check it, everything goes crazy with saying I don't have enough room. I unchecked the music folder, and still had problems.
Oh, I hate this part of the iPhone stuff! -
I need to activate my iPad3 after I reset it to factory settings. it informs me that it is linked to an Apple ID that I used to set it up when I bought it 4
years ago. I cannot remember whether it was icloud or gmail. How can I recover that Apple ID? It will not activate with my present apple id.If he doesn't remember the password or the Security Questions, he will have to contact Apple Support to have the Security Questions reset so the password can be reset:
