I recieve the same sms twice ios 5 and the sound of my ipod is horrible

Since I made the update (IOS5) of my iPhone 4, each time one of my contact send a message, i recieve this message twice.
And i got another problem, the sound of my music (baught on iTunes) sizzles (even when I change the headphone) and it's inaudible.
Thx

I just sent my ipod back so they can either replace it or fix it. If it's still under the one year warranty, you can send it back and they will make it right. I guess that's the only good thing about having problems with these ipods....Of course I am without mine at work:(. But, they are pretty quick in getting it back to you also. I would follow the intructions for getting it serviced and go from there. But, do it soon and don't wait other wise you will end up buying another one as I think it costs alot to have them fixed....you'd be better off just buying another one:( If your going to send yours in to have it looked at, they will send you the box to pack it in with the label already attached....all you have to do it mail it back to them. They even give you tape to tape up the box. It's all pretty simple. Hope this helped you out...Good luck.

I just got a new Ipod mini after my other one took a dump. Apple replaced it for free though. I put the same songs on that I had on the other one and now I get alot of skipping and cracking with every single song.....is this the Ipod or my computer???? It's driving me nuts..

  • The sound on my iPod 5 doesn't work correctly. Every time I try to listen to music or watch a video a high-pitched sound plays instead. Can anyone help me!?

The sound on my ipod stopped working overnight, I've dropped it a couple of times and I'm not sure if that could be the problem. Is there some way I can fix it?

    Problem from headphones?
    From speaker?
    From both?
    - Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so. There is a little switch in the headphone jack that disconnects the speaker when the headphone jack is inserted.
    Fix for iphone Earphone Bug
Try the following to rule out a software problem
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack or other hardware problem.

  • The sound on my iPod touch is really quiet, really annoying!

The sound on my iPod touch is really quiet, and i have to have the volume up at least halfway just to be able to hear it, but once I get a notification, it goes back to normal, but only until I either go into the app, unlock my iPod or change the song. It started a while ago when I was playing a game and the game crashed. Ever since then it has been really quiet. It's not the headphones because I tried them with my computer and they worked perfectly fine.

  • The sound on my ipod 4 touch is speeded up when I play a podcast in any format - Bose dock, ear phones or mic.  How do I fix that?  Can I?

How can I return the sound on my iPod 4 touch to normal?  The sound is speeded up when I play a downloaded podcast in any format - Bose dock, ear phones or mic.  It's hard to tell, but the music seems ok, and the podcasts sound fine on my Mac.
I don't know what happened, but suddenly the playback was speeded up, even on podcasts that I had listened to normally before! Do I need to take it in for repair?  Is there anything I can do?  Thanks for your advice!  Paula

  • The sound of my iPod 5th generation is no longer working

The sound of my iPod touch 5th generation is no longer working. I did not drop it or anything like that. I just noticed that the sound was no longer working but when I plug in my headphones I can hear the sound perfectly. I called Apple today and they told me that I still have a 19 day warranty, they also scheduled an appointment to see if they can replace the iPod. My question is what are the chances of my iPod getting replaced? And if there is something wrong my iPod will they replace?

  • Same ID in iOS 8 and OS X?

Do I need to have the iPad and the iMac both under the same ID in iCloud Drive to sync iWork files? If so, how do I change the ID for either one to get them synced in iCloud? If not, why is there a different list of Pages files in iCloud for iOS 8 and for OS X?

Might be a cookies, cache, or extensions issue ..
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.
    Click:   Remove All Website Data
    Then delete the cache.
Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following
    ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that didn't help, troubleshoot Safari extensions.
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.

  • Sound issues with SMS; voice mail alerts and "lock sounds"

Every since upgrading to the latest version (on my original iPhone) the sounds do not work for such things as incoming text messages; new voice mail messages and the lock sound when I shut the phone off.
I've turned the phone off and on again; I've set and re-set the sound settings and everything looks like I should be getting sounds but it's like I have it on vibrate mode, which I don't.
I'm perplexed.... has this happened to anyone else?
    Thanks!

I have had the same problem as well. I can usually fix it by playing a song from the iPod. After I do this the sounds work again, still annoying though!!

  • I cannot recieve phone calls, SMS after 3.0 and credit is being eaten

On wednesday, like most iPhone users, i was waiting for 3.0, finally when it came i downloaded and everything seemed fine. But since then, i cannot recieve phone calls, nut sometimes i get the odd random phone call, SMS are extremely delayed or they dont even come at all. I've been looking at other forums for help. I have changed settings numerous times and i can recieve calls and SMS but i keep getting this message saying that i need 17p for internet roaming. I have never had this before. Long story short, got my iPhone for christmas, i used my old sim, mum used the other sim. Can anyone help me please?

yes. I've tried to reset and reboot 4 times since updating. Although, i've just posted in another thread a bit more relevant and it mentioned Push causing problems. Although mine was on (and always is) but is set to manual, (so you'd think it was like having it switched off). Anyway, i've switched Push to OFF (Settings> Mail, Contacts Calendar > Fetch New Data) and it seems to have solved it for now. How odd. The thread i mean is here http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=9661558#9661558

  • HT4623 I just got IOS 8 and I cant use my iPod touch 5

My iPod touch 5 isnt working I got the update and now I cant swipe to setup.

If not successful then try the remaining items of:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Edit a previously set alarm (may also work if you set a new one)...
    Sound...
Select a song from the 'Songs' section...
    Save...
As soon as I did this, my volume buttons began to work, and the volume bar was visible in the Music App.
