Wait... why is this up i thought, I thought I did everything like I suppose to to succesfully switch it to me, the new owner... but now its asking for some C******@yahoo.com.... I only have @gmail.com emails and none start with a C... The guy sold me the phone because he was switching to Verizon, and I tried to call him, and now the number is disconnected... I guess he switched to Verizon with a new number... Now im stuck with a paperweight that costed me $200.00... What can I do at this point... Please help me... miraculous...i downloaded quicktime player from apple website and then i run it.upon double click on this quick time player and then i double clicked on itunes...there comes an enry of itunes software...now i am completely enjoying my musics.photos in smart phone.

HT2305 i uninstalled itunes twice now and reinstalled everything in the proper order as the second i was on the phone with an apple rep. and itunes or my pc will no show that my ipod is connected..its the ipod touch 2nd gen.

My iPad will not switch on, its the first edition so I am wondering if that is it. I can't access the serial number either so I can't fix it over the phone with an apple expert.

before i gave the phone, i did 'restore to factory setting' and put his new sim card into the phone.
but then i logged into the phone with my apple ID (he is simply using the phone as a regular phone without 3g, so he only uses it on wi-fi) to download apps...
so he is using it as a 'new phone' with all his contacts etc on it, is there any way he could have still accessed my stuff while my icloud was activated?
i should say that it is not technically a 'friend' but i sold the phone to him, so i'm curious what information he had access to while i had my icloud activated...

If the previous owner has set up Activation Lock using iCloud, only he can unlock it, either by giving you the ID and password, or by removing it from his list of devices - please see:

I had a one on one with my apple rep yesterday. They backed up my camera roll from my iphone as well as my ipad on my computer as I was not able to backup to icloud due to lack of space.
They advised me to delete photos from my photo stream on my iphone and ipad and then do a back up.
I deleted the photos from photo stream on my iphone and ipad.
I was able to backup my iphone but NOT my ipad as it is saying that there is not enough room on icloud to do this back up.
Any solution?

I am using Window 7 32 bit. I have try several time for install, but the result is getting same error message.

I have also tried extracting the individual components to the temp file and attempting to install them individually despite being unable to remove the previous install of Apple Software Updater. The outcome, both Apple Software Updater and itunes encountered the same error message during the install process.

Thanks for the reply however this does not help. When I check the cloud it shows that I have only 20 photos. In reality I had a lot more than that. All the photos on the cloud are those that I have taken since I was at the Apple store. When I check cloud storage usage on my phone it says that I have 5.1 GB of photos. This is a lot more than the 20 that I can see. I am not sure what the Apple employee did to my phone.
Still looking for answers. It is really too bad that I can not talk to an Apple person to get help since they messed up my phone.
