Hey there, I redeemed a 15 dollar itunes gift card, but I only recieved 10 dollars, can anybody help me?

You need to have a credit or debit card on file to make "in app" purchases.
Reason being is if your iTunes gift card balance runs out and the app you purchased offfers extra content from within the application, there may not be enough credit from the gift card to do so.

No, it's not currently possible to transfer a redeemed card to a different account, and you also won't be able to use it to gift content to the newer account (you can only gift via a credit card) - so the amount will remain linked to that old account

Apple "verifies" your billing information with every transaction whether it's purchasing media from the balance of redeemed gift card or a debit or credit card account.
Click Account right side of the App Store window then click View Account.
Make sure your name and billing address is correct then click Done.
Now try purchasing an app.

it goes like this, you pay your money to get an iTunes store credit redeemable as a gift.
then you wind up with 2 dollars and 10 cents left. you aren't an iTunes aficionado, and you won't ever use it if you don't use it on something that you want right now but what you want costs 5 dollars and 25 cents................
what can i do with my credit on my account, because it will say insufficient funds.
i know what google play does, they won't let you use it unless you have enough play money.
now come one they can't be as dumb as google on this issue can they?
i mean, any store you go to you can use gift card balance plus credit card to make up the difference.

Add your credit card to your account - if your next purchase is more than your account's balance then the remainder will be taken from the credit card.

No, once you redeem a card to your account, it is permanently there, until you spend the amount you have redeemed.
