I reinstalled Microsoft Office:mac 2011 Home

I reinstalled Office:mac 2011 Home&Student on my MacBook Pro 2011 after having a new hard drive & cable installed. Nothing in Office will open. There's a dot beside some of the apps on the dock as if they're open, but nothing opens. What should I do? What does this mean?

Did you reinstall it from the original install disk?
From a digitial download load?

  • Reinstalling Microsoft Office: Mac 2011

Hi everyone, I am not sure if this kind of question has been asekd before but I couldn't find any forum taling about this.
I have a 3-users 3-Macs Microsoft office for mac. If I reinstall Lion OS X and reinstall this copy of Microst Office, will that be counted as a second user, or second mac (since I have installed it on my mac before the clean format), OR it stays as 1 user?
    Thank you very much!

it will stay as one user.I have done the same thing your are asking about so I am 100% sure.  You will need to re-enter the 25 alphanumeric product key however to reactivate it.

  • Microsoft Office:mac 2011 want work with my script made in Microsoft Windows. May  be there is a file Problem.

    Hello!
Two years ago i made a script with a microsoft windows PC, using "Office Word".
Last year i changed my Hardware into apple Mac ,using Yosemite 10.10.3.
To work on with my script with apple i use Microsoft Office:mac 2011 Home and Student, but it want work. It is deeply frozen and very very slow. Mouse is not working normally. Pages are scrolling automatically. There is a Problem in kompatilibility between the file of my script (written by using a microsoft PC) and the apple computer e.g. Office:mac.
    Someone who can help?
    Ev

Apple support is not an expert source for Microsoft scripts, if Microsoft can't figure out their own software you'll just have to wait until someone who has had, and cured the issue.
    Sorry.

  • Problem with mountain lion and microsoft office:Mac 2011

I've just migrated all my files, applications from an imac with lion to a new imac with mountain lion. When I started up Word I had a request to put in my product key which I did successfully. Word then worked fine. Then I clicked on update and the request to enter my product key came up again. This time when I entered the key it was not accepted so I can't use Word or any other part of Microsoft Office:Mac 2011 (Home and Student).
Can anyone help please. many thanks in advance

  • I deleted my microsoft office:mac 2011 word from my toolbar. I have Mac OS X version 10.6.8.  I tried to reinstall but it won't work. I get an error message each time. Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I deleted my microsoft office:mac 2011 word from my toolbar. I have Mac OS X version 10.6.8.  I tried to reinstall but it won't work. This has never happened before.  I get an error message each time. Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I don't have time machine.

By Toolbar, do you mean the Dock?  The Translucent bar normally at the bottom of the screen, but sometimes at the right or left side?
If that's what you mean, the Dock is merely a shortcut to what is already inside the Applications folder's Microsoft Office 2011 folder.  If you have Word inside your Microsoft Office 2011 folder, you can drag it back to the Dock.
If you deleted the Microsoft Office folder, or it is empty, you'll have to reinstall it.
If you don't have your registration code, you'll have to call Microsoft for a new one.

  • Installing Office Mac 2011 Home

I had Office Mac 2011 Home & Student on my MacBook Pro. I decided to uninstall, realized that was a mistake, and decided to reinstall. In the process of reinstallation Microsoft Outlook showed up on my Doc in Open mode. A window popped up and said I must close Outlook before installation can be fininshed. I right clidk on the icon, window with close option pops up, but when I try to close I am blocked from doing so. Any ideas how to close Outllook

    Hello RSHead,
It sounds like you are not able to quit Outlook.  In situations like this, where you are not able to quit an application from the menu, you may need to Force Quit the application:
To force quit an application, choose Force Quit from the Apple menu (or press Command-Option-Esc), then choose the unresponsive application in the Force Quit window, and click Force Quit.
Additionally, you can force quit the front-most application in Mac OS X v10.5 or later by pressing Command-Option-Shift-Esc for three seconds.
You can find the full article here:

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

  • Why can't I open a PDF in Word?  I have Microsoft Office:Mac 2011

Why can't I open a PDF document in Word.  I have Microsoft Office:Mac 2011 installed because I have to email PDF and word documents to my clients.  Please help.
I currently have been viewing them in Preview.  Is that the only way?

Word is a text processor, not a PDF viewer. You can embed a PDF document in a Word document, but that's pretty much it. Besides Preview there are numerous third-party applications that can also view PDFs such as Adobe Reader.

  • Where can I download a digital Microsoft Office Mac 2011 for macbook air. I have a key product at hand.

where can I download a digital Microsoft Office Mac 2011 for macbook air. I have a key product at hand.

While they certainly don't make it clear, if you actually select the link on CNET, it's only an update file (Office2011-1434UpdateEN.dmg) which is listed on Microsoft's site:
    http://www.microsoft.com/mac/downloads?pid=Mactopia_Office2011&fid=ECF3967A-2593 -4E94-8670-CE555E20047F
They used to allow for a trial download, but I haven't been able to track that down in a while.  If the original poster has their key, it can be downloaded directly from Microsoft here:

  • IPhone4 syncing with MacPro microsoft Office mac 2011 Outlook

I'm unable to get my new i Phone 4 to sync with my Mac Book Pro using "Microsoft Office Mac 2011", "Outlook" for my email, calendar, contacts & tasks. Can someone help me?

I am having the same issues as you are and I spent about an hour on the phone with Microsoft Office yesterday and they told me that they are still working on a program to resolve this issue. It would have been nice if Apple did not authorize this product until all features where available.
I have many entries in my outlook calendar to transfer it all to ical, as well, i run a business so i do not want meeting invites coming from my mobile.me account - does not look professional. Does anyone know how to resolve this issue until Microsoft comes out with an update for calendars?

I am using Office:mac 2011 on my new mac and just after I updated to the new operating system OS X Yosemite version 10.10, my Outlook account has started to add mailboxes to some of my email accounts. e.g.. INBOX 1-INBOX 11-INBOX 111 and it just keeps going
adding more ones after each inbox. It has moved accounts and some emails are just not there anymore. Is it an incompatibility problem with the new operating system?

  • Microsoft Office Mac 2011

I was prompted to download a 2011 Microsoft Office update for my mac OS X 10.6.5. After the download a popup box appeared, saying, "Microsoft Outlook wants to use your confidential information stored in pop-server...etc...in your keychain" with the options of "Always Allow, Deny and Allow". I checked "Deny"; however, Microsoft won't take "no" for an answer and the same prompt continues to reappear incessantly though I continue to answer "Deny". It's annoying, intrusive and I want it to stop. Can anyone tell me how? Is the Apple Wizard there?

I have office X for mac and have lost my access code for my educational use copy. Is there any way to overcome this?
None that I know of. Either you have your original packaging, which contains the three keys the educational version comes with, or you don't.
From reports I've read, Office X does not run well on Snow Leopard. You'd be much better off purchasing the home version of Office 2011, if you must be compatible with other Office users. Otherwise, there's the free open source OpenOffice.
