I removed Adobe application manager? Is that okay?

Just want to know if it will effect Adobe After Effects CS6? Yes/No? Removed it cause I dont need it.

Hi Broadcast_78,
Removing Adobe application manager will not effect anything, it is required at the time of activation and updates however you can update the software's manually as well.
Thanks!

  • My Adobe Application Manager shows that I didn't install anything

But I already installed the things I wanted to. Today I just wanted to update my programs and then after the Application Manager updated itself it showed me that I only can install everything insteat of update.
    Sorry for my bad English.
    Thank you in advance

Ok will please try reinstalling the Adobe Application Manager as previously discussed.  If that fails to work then at your convenience you will want to remove all Adobe Creative applications.  You would then want to follow this by using the CS Cleaner Tool at CS Cleaner Tool for installation problems | CCM, CS6, CS5.5, CS5, CS4, CS3 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html.  You should then be able to reinstall the Adobe Application Manager and reinstall your applications.

  • Need help completely removing Adobe Application Manager.

I just tried to update my Adobe Application Manager but it told me the install was broken, so I went and uninstalled it hoping that I could just download the installer again and reinstall.
This has not worked, and now the installer package for Adobe App Manager still tried to update and not do a fresh install. It gives me the error that it failed to initialise when I try.
I guess the only thing now is to root out the registry parts for this as there are no other traces of the AAM left on my PC.
Running Windows 8.1, with Photoshop CC, Bridge CC and Lightroom 5.7 installed. As well as Reader, Air and Flash.

    Ho Kevin,
You can follow the article: Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6 which will help you to completely remove the Adobe Application manager from your computer.
Let us know if you still face any issues with that.

  • Update problems with Premiere Pro and AAM (Adobe Applications Manager)

I am using Premiere Pro CS6 via a Creative Cloud subscription and am having a problem. AAM (Adobe Application Manager) says that Premiere Pro needs updating to 6.0.1 but if I run Premiere Pro and check it's version, it says it already is 6.0.1 - so how would AAM fail to understand that PP is at 6.0.1 when PP knows that it is already there??
So guess the real question is what does AAM use to decide what version the different apps are at and then tell you which updates you need to install? And how might it have gotten confused?
And most of all, how to "un-confuse" AAM?
Please don't suggest uninstalling PP - because with CC and AAM, then you have to re-download the entire app once again from inside AAM - it doesn't keep the install media around after it has installed it, but insists on downloading the same version yet again, and taking another hour or two to get back to where it was the last time it downloaded the app.
    Any suggestions??
    Thanks ...
    -Bob

    Hi Bob,
I was having a similar issue.
I was getting a dialog, when exporting from Pr informing me that there was a codec update available for Pr, and that I should update via help. But the AAM kept telling me that everything was up to date.
I just tried to repeat the problem to respond to your post ... and it isn't happening anymore!
It may not be happening anymore because I opened Adobe Media Encoder CS6 outside of Pr this morning. That is all I have done outside my normal rutine since the last time I had the annoying dialog...
    Kind of grabbing at straws.

  • Adobe application manager for cloud install?

How to correct corrupt adobe application manager

    Hi,
If you are a Creative cloud member then you can completely remove Adobe application manager from Adobe suite cleaner tool which can be downloaded through http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html and install our new Adobe Creative cloud from https://creative.adobe.com/https://creative.adobe.com/products.
Or else you can also downoad Adobe application Manager 7.0 instead of Adobe creative cloud from the following links:
    Windows:
    http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4773
    Macintosh:

  • What Is Adobe Application Manager?

What is Adobe Application Manager and how is it helpful for me? I have Adobe CS6 and Adobe Acrobat X Pro on my computer.

    Hi MK22567,
Adobe application manager  is core application for all Adobe Creative Suite Products and is required for download, deployment, provisioning and updater functionality. Removing Adobe Application Manager from your machine may result in incorrect functioning of your product like Photoshop elements and Premier Elements in your case.  So my recommendation would be not to remove Adobe Application Manager from your machine.

  • How do i (re)sync adobe application manager?

I am stuck in bizarro world where adobe muse is not installed but adobe application manager says that it is. Is there a way to get the AAM to resync and understand which applications are in fact installed and which are not?

First see if you can uninstall Muse:
On Mac go to Applications > Utilities > Adobe Installers. Click on the link for 'Uninstall Adobe Muse' if it is there and uninstall.
On Windows launch the Control Panel. Set 'View by' to Category in the top right. Under Programs click on the link for 'Uninstall a program'. Select 'Adobe Muse' and click on uninstall in the blue bar near the top.
If you see nothing to uninstall, or as a next step run the Adobe Cleaner Tool.
Download the the Adobe Cleaner Tool from here http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html.
Run it and in the top right switch the drop-down to Creative Cloud. Select 'Adobe Muse' in the list and click on the 'Cleanup selected' button.
Finally launch the Adobe Application Manager and you should be able to install Adobe Muse.

I own an iMac 2011. I am unable to reinstall and launch premiere pro cc. We I attempt to run the program I get a error message saying that the adobe application manager is missing or need to be updated. I reinstalled the manager but I am still unable to launch any of my programs from adobe. I tried to do a trail with a program and I am still getting the same message.

Davinci thank you for the update.
Please utilize any available uninstallers that are located in the Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder.  Once all of the available uninstallers have been run you will then want to rerun the CC Cleaner Tool.  You can find directions on the use of the CC Cleaner Tool and a download link at Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html.  After the CC Cleaner Tool is run then please reinstall the Creative Cloud Desktop application from Creative Cloud Help | Creative Cloud for desktop.
The CC Cleaner Tool is designed to be used after running the uninstallers.  Without running the uninstallers first then a complete removal may not be possible.

    Problem still stands Open.
It would appear that there is a problem with Adobe Application Manager.  When I run Bridge(64) I run the HELP->UPDATE.  The system will launch Application Manager and hangs.  “Checking for Updates….”  Icon spins and nothing that I can see happens.  I will have to use Task Manager to kill it.
It also appears that I cannot install from my CS6 Installation disk.  Will not except the S/N.  My guess the count need to be reset. We are at 6 authorizations.
The problem:  Ever since I stopped the CC Upgrade Special and deleted CC software I have not been able to get Adobe software squared away.

Thanks. I finally went to helpx.adobe.com and has a Chat with someone probably in subcontinental India.
