How do you find a movie once it has been rented. I only see purchased movies.

Were the photos taken by your new iPhone? If so, did you not import them off your phone to your computer (as you would any other digital camera) before the restore? If not, restoring wiped the data off the phone and your pictures are gone.
Sounds like a good time to (re)read the User Guide.

You would need at least CS3 with ACR 4.6 to natively edit NEFs from a D90 in PS:

It might also work to use the DNG Converter 4.6 or newer to convert the NEF files to DNGs and then those might open in your older CS2 ACR, but I’m not sure, since it’s a 9 year old program I haven’t used in years.

I am using MAC OSx 10.5.8 (9L31a) as my operation system. The TV says "No signal. Check connected device's power, cable connection and source selection." Seems to me that that goes in hand with what the Samsung tech said about the Mac needing to be forces to use the external display. But how do I do that?

Try rebooting the computer and disconnecting all external devices (HDMI tv's or monitors) and then try to purchase the movie.

First, have the recipient check any anti-spam filters on his/her email application and email account to make sure it's not blocking messages from Apple. This often is the issue with unreceived gifts. If it's been confirmed that no antispam utility is in the way, try resending the gift:

You can also Report a Problem via the link in your Purchase Invoice e-mail or from your iTunes account Purhcase History by logging into your Account Settings in iTunes on a computer.
