I rented a movie and it keeps stopping
i rented a movie off itunes and it keeps stopping every 30 min and takes for ever to play again, i have re launched my itunes many times but it wont help. how do i fix it?
Did you rent it directly from iTunes on your computer? Is it fully downloaded? Movies are big (>1GB, typically), so let it finish downloading, then watch it.

I kept having this problem, reset my iTunes password, verified account information several times, all with the same (bad) result. Finally, I actually went into the "Edit" section of my credit card and found that because I tried to access my account via another computer or device, i.e. Apple TV, I had to reenter my 3 digit credit card security code. That fixed the problem for me.

I reset my wireless - no success

netflix is working fine since i was able to see a movie there. Youtube was also working fine. I think there should be something wrong with iTunes

Downloaded a movie from iTunes to my iPad. 2 minutes into the movie it stopped and My Videos is stuck in black screen mode. So basically rented a movie and never watched it.
The EXACT same thing happened to me last night! Rented a movie; it had barely started and then froze. When I touch the video app icon, all I get is a blank, dimly lit screen. None of the other videos I own will display either. Was your problem ever resolved?

after renting a move and starting viewing I can not stop it and come back to in within the time frame. If i stop it it goes away not able to find it. Just like I did not rent it at all.

We have rolled out a fix for this issue.
Please log off and log back in to your machine and the issue should be resolved automatically. In case that does not work, please manually run the msi installer posted here (may require reboot).

I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the item, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item. -
As the title says....I rented a movie and started playing it, but it stopped downloading, and didnt finish within the 24hrs it should... Now I didnt watch crap and dont have a refund nor do I have a way to watch it, and worse yet no way to even re-buy it....
I want to see what i rented or get refndeed...

Rented a movie and it stopped in the middle of the movie and now we can not get it back on without renting again. What do we do to get our movie back?
Have you tried going to settings - iTunes store - check for rentals? If it does not initially appear try logging out and back into your account.

apple if you're reading this you have gotten seriously on my last nerves. i have been typing non stop trying to get my answer but you guys really have THE WORST customer service. i tried renting a movie and it says that it need 55 hours to load and i only have the movie for 24 hours! and also it keeps freezing on me and now i can't even see my movie! someone please help me!

If you rented it directly on the iPad then it should have downloaded into the Videos app - if you can't find it in there then have you got a film age rating set in Settings > General > Restrictions that is hiding it ? -

A movie rented on an iPhone can only be viewed on an iPhone. If you want to view on TV you need to rent directly on ATV or via computer (and stream using home-sharing)
