Assign a different ringtone for a contact: In Contacts, choose a contact, tap edit, then tap Ringtone and choose a ringtone.
If you cannot find the ringtone you are trying to assign to your contact, you may need to contact iTunes Store direcly with the reciept for the purchase.

I'm very new at the whole i-tunes idea and would consider myself a total amature!!

All I'm really looking for is a way to sing karaoke songs at home as a rehearsal in case I go out sometime.
I thought the iTunes version would have lyrics or that I could move it with lyrics into a Karaoke program that I downloaded.
Alas, this is beginning to seem like an impossibility.

At startuo hold down the Option key. That will bring up a boot menu screen.

Not sure I understand how Migration Assistant is doing anything. I thought MA was for connecting your computer to another computer or volume and transferring files. I'm just not sure how you're using it. Like I said earlier, everything you do on your Mac overwrites more of what data may have been recoverable if there even was any. Not to kick you when you're down but this is exactly he kind of a situation where a time machine or other back up would have saved you a lot of heartache. I'm sorry but I don't think I can be of any help :-(

I just got a warning that the Itunes that I just downloaded (10.6) could impare or destablize my system- I have had Itunes on my computer before but when I plugged in my Ipod it told me I needed to uninstall Itunes and reinstall itunes all together. Now I don't know what to do. I have a Sony computer that runs on Windows XP and then I have an Ipad, Iphone, and Ipod that I sync everything with What do I do? Do I continue installing? And, if I don't install how will I ever get all my "gadgets" to work properly without being able to download Itunes 10.6? Need Help!!!! However, when i got home, the Apple TV is says that i need to re-rent it. If i 'purchased' (rented) the movie on my iPad, shouldn't it be in my iCloud, so that I can watch it on any device?

A movie purchased on an iPad can only be viewed on an iPad. You would need to rent via computer and use home sharing or directly on Apple TV if you wish to view on your HDTV.
You haven't purchased the movie, it's a rental and thus won't be available in the cloud.
If you download a rented movie on your computer: You can transfer it to a device such as your Apple TV (1st generation), iPhone, iPad, or iPod if it’s a standard-definition film (movies in HD can only be watched on your computer, iPad, iPhone 4 or later, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV). Once you move the movie from your computer to a device, the movie will disappear from your computer's iTunes library. You can move the movie between devices as many times as you wish during the rental period, but the movie can only exist on one device at a time.
If you download a rented movie on your iPhone 4 or later, iPad, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV: It is not transferable to any other device or computer.
