This is not difficult and you will not have to download from the app store.
your computer has what is called  a recovery partition that came with it.
simply hold cmd+R while you boot up. let go a second after you hear the chime.
you will boot into the recovery partition.
Use disk utlity to format your usb drive and then exit Disk utlity and go to Reinstall Mountain Lion.
it will ask  you which disk you want to install ML onto. Choose your new USB drive.
    easy peasy

  • If I remove an album I purchased can I download it again without paying again?

If I remove an album I purchased can I download it again without paying again?

It depends on what country that you are in, and whether it remains in the store - what you can re-download where : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5085
You should be able to copy it to your computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases so that you can make a backup of it.

Which version did you buy on your iPad ? If you bought the HD version then that is only compatible with the iPad, so you will need to buy the iPhone/Pod version (or download the free version) if you want to use it on your iPhone.

How can i redownload rings tones without paying for them again?

Most, but not all, content on the US iTunes Store is available to download again through iTunes in the Cloud (a couple notable exceptions seem to be TV Shows that don't have "seasons", such as The Daily Show, Colbert Report, etc.). For more information about downloading past purchases you should take a look at http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519

  • Can I try e-commerce without paying for a year's subscription?

Hello. I'm so new to Business Catalyst that I don't even know what questions to ask... Any help would be appreciated!
I designed a customer's site in Muse, giddy with glee that I can finally, FINALLY handle e-commerce sites. I'd heard that all a person has to do is design the site, upload it to Business Catalyst, install a "module," and viola! Done! Great - I have a Creative Cloud subscription, so I get five sites hosted free. This sounds perfect!
But... I published my site to BC, and I see no way to install the "module." I fear I may have to purchase an additional plan to get the e-commerce doohicky? I'm not sure I want to pay $420 for a year's access to the e-commerce part just yet - I'd really kinda like my customer's approval on the site first, and he's not gonna do that unless he can see how things will work.
Is there a way to do a "trial run" with e-commerce before going live and having to pay the $420 a year? I'd really like to see how it all works and give my customer a chance to see a test page before committing that kind of money... Is that possible?

    Hi,
You can create another account outside muse and instead within BC to test all the features we offer.  Although you cannot add a payment gateway in trial you can still do an offline test transaction to test the experience.

  • HT1657 I didn't get to watch a rented movie because it said ready but was still downloading. Couldn't finish during 24 period. Can I get credit to rent the movie again?

I rented a movie through itunes and Apple TV to watch on my tv. The movie said it was ready so I started watching. The movie stopped and said it still had to load. 3 hours later it was still loading. 5 hours later still loading. I have broadband high speed internet connection. I couldn't watch the next night because I was attending an event. Then my 24 hours were up and the movie was gone. How can I watch the movie I paid to rent without paying for it again? It was Matt Damon's latest movie, "Promised Land." Thanks.

If it's not in the Movies part of your library, then does the Store > Check For Available Downloads menu option download it ? If not then try the 'report a problem' page to contact iTunes Support : http://reportaproblem.apple.com
If the 'report a problem' link doesn't work then you can try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

Does the original library file still exist on the computer?  Hopefully when creating the new library it was done in a seperate folder as I do not believe iTunes allows for two library files in the same location.

Yup, your question and Diane's answer helped me also. Tho' I had had problems before getting into the iTunes store I always managed to find a way. Today they had me blocked cold with the "Update to 10" advert no matter what I did. Other questioners are being told, incorrectly as it turns out, that they have to update their OS to accomodate iTunes 10 and upgrade to iTunes 10. I did the download which did not take up much more room on my crowded old hard drive and now I'm back in business.

    Hello!!!
I had 21 songs i my album and after syncronising i only had 15 songs left! All of them from Itunes! How can i get them back without paying for them again???
    Hello!!!
    This realy works??

Where is the backup of the media and other important files from the computer?  Ultimately, it is the users responsibility to ensure that backups exists. Waiting until there is a problem to decide to do a backup is not smart.  Would you wait until a fire started in your home to call the insurance company and inquire about homeowners/renters insurance????
In the event that no backup exists (stop being lazy.... keep backups of YOUR data and other important files):
If you are in the US and running iTunes 10.3 or later, it is possible to redownload music via iCloud from purchased history.
If you are not in the US or for some reason cannot run iTunes 10.3 or later, contact iTunes customer support and ask very nicely for the opportunity to redownload the content.  They are not required to provide this opportunity.
It is also possible to transfer content from an iDevice that was purchased via iTunes.  On the new computer, sign into the iTunes account, authorize the computer, connect the device then select File > Transfer Purchases.
The simplest method of all is to transfer or copy the media (and other important files) from the old computer or the backup of the old computer.  Typing "move itunes library" into the search bar here or into google will reveal step by step instructions on how to do this.

  • My computer broke and I got it fixed. It doesn't say that the hard-drive was replaced, but I can tell my data is gone, including Pages that I bought. Is there any way of getting that without paying for it again?

Or if you purchased Pages as part of iWork on a disk, reinstall from the same disk.
    Best of luck.

Also, I lost the last 2 purchases when I backed up after a hard drive crash.  Can I download them again without a charge? Newton

Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store - http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519 - enabled with iTunes 10.3 and newer; not available in all countries; apps, books (not audiobooks), music, t.v. shows, and movies (some - not all studios have permitted this). Movies currently available in the USA only. Downloading previously purchased movies and TV shows requires iTunes 10.6 or later.  Discontinued items not available. For items not included in the iCloud list, or locations or computer systems where iCloud is not (yet?) available, you only get one download per fee paid.  Apple notes it is your responsibility to back up your purchases.
