I reset my Apple ID and password online over the phone with a consultant ,but my I pod won't show that anything had changed even though everything's fine online. I can't do anything on my IPod so I need to fix this now!!

On the iPad - go to Settings>iTunes and App Stores>Apple ID. Tap on your old ID and sign out. Then sign in with your changed/new ID.

Does he have any of the account's downloads in his computer's iTunes library : Recovering a forgotten iTunes Store account name.
Or has he tried finding it via http://appleid.apple.com : Apple ID: How to find your Apple ID.
If he can find the account id he can then get its password reset via http://iforgot.apple.com
(As these are user-to-user forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple, I've asked the hosts to remove the serial number from your post.) -

What happens when you try? Error message?
To activate you have to enter the ID and password last used for Settings>iCloud. In most cases the Apple ID is used for Settings>iCloud but not always.

In the Settings app
Settings > iTunes and App Store > tap on the Apple ID that shows there > Sign Off
Then sign in again with the correct Apple ID and password.
I'm not sure by what you meant by "reset you Apple ID" if you signed up for a new ID all of the apps you downloaded for free or purchased will still be connected to your old ID. You will need to enter that ID and password to update those apps. -

You may need to update your MacBook Air with your new Apple ID password.
OS X Mountain Lion and later: Open the Messages app, select Messages > Preferences, then click the Accounts icon.
If you signed out before changing your Apple ID password, click Accounts and enter your current Apple ID to sign in.
If you're still signed in with your previous Apple ID password, click Accounts, then select your previous Apple ID from the list of accounts. Click Sign Out, then click Sign Out again when asked to confirm. Enter your current Apple ID to sign in.

I have been trying to download Cloud 1. I put my Apple ID and Password in. It didn't take. I changed my password and it still didn't take. Also, when I tried to download mobile me, it wanted my 'member name and ID' Is that separate? All I want to do, actually , is sink my contacts in Yahoo to gmail on safari. Sounds like you encountered the activation lock. If you are trying to activate an iPad or iPhone and it is asking for a previous Apple ID and password, you have encountered the Activation Lock. This is a security feature that prevents thieves from setting up and using a stolen or lost iPad or iPhone. You have no alternative. No must enter the previous Apple ID and password in order to use the device. If you cannot do this chances are You will never be able to activate the device and no one can help you do it. -

How many Apple IDs do you have? The prompt should show you a few letters from the email address to remind you. You can always reset your password using this page:

Resetting the password will require that you have access to the email address associated with the AppleID or that you remember your security questions.
If you cannot reset the password , take it to an Apple Store with your proof of purchase and they may help you.

My iphone 4s will not switch on. Supposidly it has been "charging" all day and stll it does not have enough life to switch on. Rang Apple this morning and they will replace the phone under warrenty free of charge. Only problem is with this being my first Apple product i didnt realise my phone did not automatically back up on itunes or icloud as i had to set this up.

It sounds as if they did not restore the phone to remove your apps, and neither did you. They may have also run into Activation Mode and that is why it is asking for your Apple ID and password.
