What do you mean by 'reset my appleID', and what happens when you try to buy an ibook ? Are you getting any error messages when trying to buy it ?
If you mean that you've reset your account's password then have you tried logging out of your account on your iPad (e.g. tap on your id at the bottom of the Featured tab in the ibookstore in the iBooks app) and then logged back and seeing if it then works ?
Or is it a different problem ?

Got my AppleID but can't do iTunesStore login !?

I got my AplleID and can sign in with it here / on apple websites but when I want to sign in to the
iTunesStore in the iTunes window I get always "[...] first time [...] please check your account
details" which I already did.
I choosed click and buy paying option and click and buy tells me that iTunes is allowed to use it
then the iTunes download web page opens...and that's it; nothing more happens.
In the iTunes window the "chose pay option and enter name, adress, telephone" screen is still
active and I can only go back, abort or hit continue which leads me back to click and buy telling
me that I already completed this step.
As I already have iTunes installed on my windows pc I don't load it down though.
When I try to activate my computer first, before signing in to iTunesStore I get involved in just the
same story.
So what ?!? Ö.ö

I have over $50 in iTunes account but can't purchase music. Getting error that credit card processing not available try back later. Please advise.

Can not purchase on iTunes. Have $ in account but getting errors. Appears trying to use credit card info and credit card processing down. please advise if I have a set up issue or if there is just a technical problem with iTunes store.

Can Access All Parts of Music Store But Can't Purchase and I have an accoun

This has been driving me crazy for the past two months!
In the past, I have been able to connect to the Music Store, but for some reason last month, I was not able to purchase music although I was logged in. I tried logging out, thinking that re-logging in might solve the problem, but now I can't log in! I have an AOL account for the Music Store.
I can click on everything in the Music Store except that I get an error message when trying to log in or purchase a song:
"iTunes could not connect to the Music Store. Please check your network and firewall settings and try again."
My network and firewall settings are working perfectly, but I can't purchase ANYTHING! My brother has the same issue and we both share the same network, although he has a Dell computer.
Could someone PLEASE help?!?!?!?!?!

If you need to restore your phone but can't turn off Find My iPhone, you'll have to force it into recovery mode in order to restore it, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808.

When I bought my iPhone 5s I set up the email account for iCloud with a Shaw Cable address. Shaw was my ISP. I changed ISP's which rendered my iCloud email account as useless. I did reset my AppleID but it didn't change for iCloud. How can I change?

I bought my iPhone 5s and set up the AppleID for iCloud to be the same as the Apple ID I already used for iTunes and the App store. I was using @shaw.ca as part of the emaill address. I changed my ISP to save money so had to change the Apple ID. I had no issues changing it for iTunes and the App store, but it wouldn't change for iCloud. I don't recall the password and can't have it sent to me as that address does not work any longer.

Yes, you understood correctly. From your explanation, you created your hotmail.ca ID by revising the shaw.ca ID. Given that, you should perform the steps listed in my original post:
Make sure you are signed into iMessage and FaceTime with your current ID. If they are signed into the old ID, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and Settings>FaceTime, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with your current ID.
Then temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. (You should not have to verify the old email account so it doesn’t matter if you no longer have access to it.) Now go to Settings>iCloud, turn off Find My iDevice and enter your current password when prompted (even though it prompts you for the password for your old ID). Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll (unless using iCloud Photo Library). When finished goThen go to Settings>iCloud, tap Sign Out (or Delete Account if you are not running iOS 8) and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign back in with your current iCloud ID and password (your data will download back to your device).

You can not login into iTunes or the App Store using VPP credentials. You must purchase all apps/book/etc. from the VPP website. Then you can redeem the codes thru itunes/app store or import the codes thru apple configurator. (It will not affect any of the apps you already have but the id can only be used for VPP.)

Had a security breach with my IPad. Actually my wife remotely turned on my find my IPad service to track every where I go. Not sure how she did it, she knows answers to my security questions, and password tendencies. So anyway I reset my password for my Apple ID. Changed security questions etc. but now iTunes doesn't say it's a wrong password it jut doesn't do nothing. So I cannot purchase, download or anything ith my iTunes acct. Help?

and Apple Store Genius (at Lenox Square Mall in Buckhead Georgia, on 9/27/2014) is eligible for AppleCare Protection Plan (extensible before 10/4/2014). I was asked to call Apple to purchase the extension. However, when I called, AppleCare Senior Advisor Jeffrey told me that Apple has discontinued selling the standard AppleCare plan, and he was not able to add it to my phone.
Anyone else is having the same issue? Any other way to add the AppleCare protection plan?
I was dumbfounded. I bought a phone with the understanding that I could extend the warranty within a year, and Apple just went and changed it without any provision to grandfather the existing customers? I can tell you that my 5c's value just went down. So is my opinion of Apple - where is the commitment to their existing customers?

I think that there was some confusion that occurred on your call. You asked for AppleCare, but only AppleCare + is available for iPhones. Maybe that is what the person you spoke to meant (not sure....)
I purchased AppleCare + for my iPhone 5s after I had purchased it, and went to the chat to get the info on how to purchase it.
You are correct, you need to talk with an Apple person to actually purchase it after the fact. Go to this link and try again - and just let them know you want to purchase Apple Care Plus:

Not authorized to play purchased movies but can play purchased music.

I got a "This computer is not authorized to play (movie)" after downloading a movie from the iTunes store. I checked other movies and got the same message. BUT all purchase music plays just fine. I followed the recommended fixes: deauthorized the computer; removed all authorized accounts; removed the SC info folder. But I still get "This computer is not authorized to play (movie)" message just for the movies.

I still get a gray screen with no picture or sound for downloaded movies in iTunes 10.6.1 in Mac OSX 10.5.8 on a G4 1.67 MHz Powerbook. BUT if I boot the Powerbook in Mac OSX 10.4.11 and use iTunes 9.2.1, the movies work.
After explaining the problem to a knowledgeable person, she suspects the "codec" has been changed in iTunes 10.6.1 so as to run on Intel. Only suggestion she gave was to downgrade iTunes. Any suggestions to find iTunes 9?
