I reset my ipad and then tried to restore through icloud but everytime i try it times out
I reset my Ipad because it had quit charging past 28% when I tried to restore it through icloud backup I cant login it keeps timing out
i just tried it again through itunes to restore and when i plug into itunes the pic of the white USB comes on my screen that says connect to itues

My daughter stopped using her iPad when she got an iPhone for Christmas. It has been over one month and she has forgotten her passcode. I tried to wipe it via Find my iPhone but it won't connect to the wifi even though wifi is switched on on the lock screen. I then tried to restore it through iTunes but was unable to becuase Find my iPhine was switched on so I removed the iPad from the device list only to find that it didn't solve anything with the iTunes situation and it still won't connect to the wifi. FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTune (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port. Do not release button until you see picture of iTune and plug (very important)
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTune has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTune.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note: Data will be lost -

If the above does not help, contact support on that page. When they reply, they will ask you for a photo of the giftcard with the numbers shown and a copy of the receipt.
It's likely that the giftcard was never activated in the store and the clerk charged you only for the cost of the card without activating. I've had this happen in the past at a 7-11 store. -
Hello I went to wipe my 1st generation iPad and then tried to update the iOS now the iPad won't work at all any ideas what I can do?
You can't update the original iPad beyond iOS 5.1.1 so if you were already running that version, there was no reason to wipe the iPad to try to update.
Won't work at all, doesn't tell me the whole story. Does it power up but not respond to anything? Does it not power up at all? Some detailed information in context would really be helpful.
IF the device will not start up, try a reset. Hold down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds until the Apple Logo appears on the screen. -
I blocked my ipad and then tried to use find my iphone to restore it but my ipad wasn't connected to the internet so it didn't work. Now it wont restore using Itunes either. How can I fix it because nothing works?!

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it sounds like you have no service on the iPhone. It looks like you have already done some troubleshooting. There is one step you did not mention trying that i think is worth trying.
If you see No Service in the status bar of your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
Remove the SIM card. If the SIM card is damaged, worn, or bent, or if it's too big or small for the SIM tray, contact your carrier for a new one. Then reinsert the SIM card.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Yes, update first, Settings > General > Software Update.
Then navigate to Settings > General > Reset > Erase all contents and settings on the device you want to restore.
When this completes and the Set-Up Assistant starts, choose "Restore from iCloud Backup" and enter your iCloud account and password. You will see the three most recent backups for each of the devices on which you enabled Backup. Choose which backup to restore from. -

You are in Recovery Mode. Follow the instructions below to recover your iPad.
1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port. (Make sure you have the latest version of iTune on your computer)
2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off, release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button.
5. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times to recover your iPad. Data will be lost. -

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

I'm trying to restore my ipod, but whenever I try to it says error 2001 or 2006. How do I restore it? I've also updated all of what I can.
- If the backup has a password (called encrypted backup) then you either have to remember password or correctly guess the passcode or set up the iPod as new.

If your profile is correct you're already on the final version of Snow Leopard (10.6.8). Sure it wasn't Lion it was asking for?
If that's the only version available on the app store, you'll need to source a copy of the iWork '09 DVD - not cheap now - only available via Amazon or eBay etc. -
I completed the updates on my IPhone5, now I have lost my Contacts, I tried going into my ICloud, but the password that I use does not work (Apple Password). I have changed it many many times and it still won't work. The ICloud is trying to VERIFY, but stays at that point.
