I reset my iPod touch, now the logo blinks on and off screen with no response
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Your phone is damaged. Take it in to an Apple store for evaluation and possible out of warranty replacement.

My iphone went dead and now has the apple logo blinking on and off
my iphone 4 went dead and now has the apple logo is slow blinking on and off when it's plugged into my computer. I cannot stop it. Tried a hard restart but nothing happened.
Morning blgarratt,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
If it is showing the Apple logo with no progress bar or a stopped progress bar, for over ten minutes.
For troubleshooting on this, take a look at this article:

Hope this helps,

Doesn't start, Apple logo blinks on and off.
My iPod Classic won't start. There's just a pale image of the Apple logo which blinks on and off. Plugging it into various USB ports has no effect.
Dying battery? (I've had the device for about a year only.)Okay, here's something I found out: charging it with a power adapter instead of via the USB cable worked.
Question: why would charging it with the USB connection not work? -

Ipod Touch has the logo sign and wont turn on
Hello,
My ipod touch is giving me problems. It had low battery today and suddenly just out of nowhere turned off. I plugged in for charging however it appears that the logo sign is only on and doesnt do anything else. Could anyone please tell me a solution for this. I have already tried holding the power button as well as the home for several seconds but nothing seems to work. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. ThanksFirst, charge it up and try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
Finally, if the Restore doesn't work, let the battery drain completely. Then recharge for at least an hour and Restore again. -
How do you reset an iPod touch if the password is forgotten?
My daughters new Touch is now locked as she cannot remember her obscure password. How do I reset so that it is usable again?
U will need a computer with internet connect
plug the ipod into the computer and open itunes if it does not open
when it finds the ipod click on the ipod's tab click on the restore tab this restores to factory settings then sync all apps and music etc back on to the ipod -
I'm having trouble with the wi-fi synch for iTunes and would be happy if I could just synch by the USB cable. With the new iOS, the connection to iTunes seems to get broken every time the dreaded "charging not supported with this accessory" appears, which is only a few seconds into the synch. Since my PC is obviously not an Apple brand charger, IPod won't stop producing this message. Using the Dismiss button doesn't resolve the issue because synch has already stopped. It looks like the hardwire to PC option is now dead.

- Try another cable. Some 5G iPods were shipped with Lightning cable that were either initially defective or failed after short use.
- Try another charging source
- Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

or
iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
Have you tried another computer to help determine if you hav an iPod or computer problem? -
I just reset my iPod Touch; now, it won't sync.
I recently ordered an iPod touch off the Internet. Everything works, but when you plug it into my computer it will not sync. I tried it with my sister's computer and it attempted to sync just fine. What am I doing wrong with my computer?
Assuming iTunes does not see the iPod
See
iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
- I would start with
Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
or
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Features app in the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components
- Then do the other actions of:
iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
paying special attention to item #5
- New cable and different USB port
- Run this and see if the results help with determine the cause

Rapid Response Monitoring Center developed a program for their dealers to log on to the main frame and look at customer info. The program now has a disclaimer on the log-on page Does not work with FireFox 4. RR tech support said it had to do with Java functions that were not continued in FF4. I can log on but the program will no longer display customer history or anything that seems to have a data base behind the function tab.
See www.rapidweb2000.com or call 1-800-932-3822 and ask for tech support for additional info about what they have found is the problem.Id this the HP SimplePass Identity manager or Digital Persona fingerprint reader? If it is, the company that make the fingerprint reader have abandoned it. For more details see https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/799388
