I reset my password and now when I attempt to download any update, my password is not correct

Hello,
Question for anyone that can help.  I have changed my password, and I wrote it down, so it is accurate.  Now when I attempt to download a new Itunes update, and I type in my password, it rejects it, stating it is invalid.  HELP.

There are multiple possible passwords you might have changed.
The first two below are the ones you need to update software, and then connect to iTunes.
1. The MacBook 'administrator' password, in case you're NOT the admin, to 'authenticate' most software updates and System Preferences settings, and would likely be the one first requested when updating a downloaded iTunes program to the latest version. If you're the only user and you set up the computer, you're probably the admin.
2. Your iTunes account password (whatever account name you use for iTunes, to authorize purchases and downloads of programs, apps, music, and rentals from iTunes. It might be your Apple ID and password, but it does not HAVE to be.
3. Your Apple ID password IF ID AND PASSWORD ARE DIFFERENT FROM THE ID used for iTunes. The Apple ID is the one you used to login to Apple Support Communities and post your question.)
(Probably the same as your iTunes account name password, but not necessarily)
4. Passwords saved in your Keychain app, primarily passwords used online and saved by intentionally clicking 'remember' the first time you access a username/password page and each time you change the saved information. These are the ones filled in 'automatically' when you return to a webpage, and could be causing a problem if you haven't updated the saved password since changing it.
5. Your MacBook user password but only IF you're NOT the administrator of your computer. The one you use to login to your MacBook at power-on and you don't have Admin priviliges)
If this doesn't solve the problem, it's possible that Apple software downloads or Apple iTunes is having the problem. It's fairly rare that a long-term outage occurs, but minor glitches happen from time to time. Wait a few hours and try again.
When new software products and major updates are released, such as OS X Mountain Lion (due to be released by the end of July), there is often a huge increase in traffic on the Apple servers, and that can cause lots of download problems, though not usually password problems.
And, you can always try changing your password again.
