Without your iCloud Apple ID and password, there is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY TO ACTIVATE the phone.

This issue has been resolved - my Support Advisor, Edgar, was able to discern what was causing the problem.
It appears that, despite years of never experiencing this, one of the latest ipod updates actually altered my device's personal settings and changed it to "Manual" for all synchronizing; even performcing Factory Restores did not change it back to being automatic.
My ipod is working as good as ever now thanks to Edgar. If anyone else is having this problem, please make sure you check your device's settings in iTunes and see if "Manual" is checked - even if you never changed the settings yourself and have no reason to suspect that to be the problem, as was the case here. If it is checked - uncheck it to enable automatic syncing.
So relieved this was not a much more serious problem. I've missed having my music on the go. Thanks, Edgar!

It's an iphone 4. It told me to make some more room and in storage and I did but not it won't let me out of the app! I can move around in it but it won't let me get to the home screen or lock it. I've tried holding down the lock button but it doesn't work. I'm freaking out badly, please someone help me!!!

Hold down the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons for 10-15 seconds or until the screen goes dark. Then, press and hold the power button to power it back up.
This resets the phone and it should work as expected once it boots back up

I can't get the Mac Tutorial videos to play ! I get a message from DivX Plus web player that " the file you are trying to play has failed to finish downloading and can no longer play " Please help.

I just bought a MacBook. The first few times it worked when I used the instructional video from teh default MacPage. Now when I try to watch a instructional video I get the message that teh file didn't finish downloading and I ma unable to watch the video at all.

This means that you have downloadd the file from the internet, and the file did not download completely so the computer can't play it. To fix this, just re-download the file and make sure it finishes.

These are user-to-user forums, you are not talking to Apple here - I've asked the hosts to remove your email address from your post's title.
If you have a rescue email address set up on your account then you can try going to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you might see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have a rescue email address set up then go to Express Lane and select 'iTunes' from the list of 'products' in the middle of the screen.
Then select 'iTunes Store', and on the next screen select 'Account Management'
Next choose 'iTunes Store Account Questions' or 'iTunes Store account security' (it appears to vary by country) and fill in that you'd like your security questions/answers reset.
You should get an email reply within about 24 hours (and check your Spam folder as well as your Inbox).

I recently got an Ipod Itouch as a gift and my Dell Inspirion 6000 doesn't recognize it. I can only eject it thru Itunes. Please help. My next issue is that I can't update my Itouch. The error message I get is Itunes can't contact the Ipod software update server because you are not connected to the internet. I am connected thru AOL. Please help. Thanks

If you cannot get this information from the seller
Removing a device from a previous owner’s account
You need to return the Device for a refund, as you will not be able to re-activate it.

After my most recent update I have lost copy paste functions and can't drag items - please help

I think this is a Java problem. I went to Firefox and Mozilla home page and checked to see that my plug ins were up to date. Firefox said it had turned off my Java because it was not up to date. When I went to the Java page to update it, it only said Mac has its own Java updates and suggested I update through Apple. Unfortunately, when I checked to see if Apple has any updates for my Java, there weren't any.
After seeing that, I went to the link it had for "upgrade to the latest version" and this is what Java says:

I just finished editing a 28 minute HD TV program on my Mac Book PRO 10.6.8 operating system, with FCX 10.0.8. Every which way I tried to upload my finished product, it didn't work, and the last time I tried to upload to VIMEO my computer crashed with gray screen coming down, and PANIC report being issued.
After that crash (my first ever) my external sound no longer works.
But that's the least of my problems.
I went to Century City Apple store and a creative employee suggested trying Compressor App. Ok. Purchased, downloaded, and he clearly told me how to transfer my TV show via compressor. My first attempt, my wireless apparently stopped working. I'd been trying to transfer in 1080i. Failed. I call my wireless provider who tells me I have highest bandwidth, premium. So I try to updoad in HD 720p. Failed. So I tried video podcasting option, and again failed.
What do I need to do in order to show and share my TV show?

Have you tried other projects to see whether they will export? Depending on that answer, there are several things that fixed the problem for others and that you might try.
Probably the most reliable method of getting videos to Vimeo s to use their uploader, rather than doing it from within FCP. Since you have Compressor, you can make a custom Vimeo setting and then choose Compressor as your Share destination.

Have a new Mac Book pro and have Netflix program that does not stream down. Have talked with Netflix, Microsoft and Mac support - who referred me back to Microsoft - and no one has been able to get the Silverlight folder trashed so I can redownload the program. I love Firefox, but recently it has been crashing multiple times per day (sometimes 20 or more). I've checked the web help, and can't resolve. Please help.

I have Windows 7 and Firefox 7.0.1, and those two combined have caused a crashing epidemic. I do not have many add-ons installed, and the ones I do have are all updated. I also did not see the crashing coincide with a recent download or install. I've checked all the online help, and nothing has provided resolution. If someone could assist that would be great. I do not want to be forced in to using another browser.
