I restored my 2nd Generation iPod and now it is asking for a password that I don't know and never put into my iPod. Help!
I looked online for more help but to no avail. I tried to find the file on My Computer and to plug it into iTunes but it says that it cannot connect because it is foreign to the computer, since I just got the computer. I have absolutley no idea what to do!
From the limited amount of information you provided it sounds like the iPod was previously synced to another computer. You need to place the iPod in recovery mode and connect to the computer and restore via iTunes. For recovery mode see:

my friend activated my new ipad4 with icloud but now he is died and my device asking for icloud account but i don't know what i shall do.. please help me.. my imei number is 01*********544
<Personal Information Edited by Host>There is a new security feature in iOS 7 called Activation Lock. You need the
AppleID and passcode used to activate the iPad or it will be useless to you.
There is no workaround.
Suggest you try very hard to remember that AppleID and passcode. Did you try the
AppleId you used to log into this forum?

I am locked out of my iPod and it says i cannot restore or back up due to me needing to unlock it and obviously i don't have my password. Please help, how do i unlock it?
Options for when an iOS device gets locked because of forgotten password:
Restore (and reset password) on your device by connecting it to the last computer to which it was connected:
iTunes: Backing up, updating, and restoring iOS software - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414
If you cannot connect it to the computer to which the device was last connected you will have to use recovery mode to completely reset the device, losing all data:
iOS: Unable to update or restore - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808 - recovery mode (e.g., cannot connect to computer last used to sync device, iTunes still asks for a password) -
My iphone 5s was turned off and now it's asking for the password which i don't remember
Please help. My son has the Iphone 5s. He used his fingerprint and of course a passcode when setting it up. Last night the phone was shut completely off and now it won't take his fingerprint and is asking for his passcode which he doesn't remember. Can anyone help with this?
Yes. If you've forgotten your passcode, use this article: iOS: Forgotten passcode or device disabled after entering wrong ...

I did set up the password when I got the phone and iPad months ago but never turned it on. Now it is asking for the passwords for both my iPhones and iPad and I cannot select not the have the passwords active.
If you do not want to use passcodes, why don't you just go to Settings > General > Passcode Lock and delete the passcode and set the lock to OFF. That will eliminate the problems all together.

I just updated my iPhoto and now am asked to download the iPhoto Library Upgrader. I am asked for a password. I do not know it. How can I find it or reset it?
Are you asked for the password, when you run the installer for iPhoto Library upgrader?
Then the installer is asking you for the password of your administrator account. You need to authorize the installation. -

why can't I sign into my account and add a rescue email so I will be able to redo my security questions? I have been unable to buy anything from Itunes because it's asks me for security questions that I don't remember what I put in the first place
1. Because if you could, someone who breaks into your account could do it as well.
2. You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, and filling out and submitting this form.

everytime i want to restore my previews backup to my new iphone, itunes asks for my password, when i enter my password it tells me my password is incorrect, but its not! i have even changed my password. but still nothing! I get the same error from itunes!!!!
Try using your computer password. I tried any password I could think of relating to my phones, but it was none of them; it was, in fact, my computer password.

Can I restore my 2nd generation ipod touch to its factory settings?
I would like to let another person use my old 2nd generation ipod. If I restore it to its factory settings will I be able to add apps back on it under a different apple id? The ipod is old so many apps are not compatable.
Apps are tied to the acount/ID that purchased them.
Before you restore the iPod make sure that your iTunes library has the version of apps that are presently installed on your iPod. Many apps have been update and the update apps are not compatible with the 2G iPod. I would do that by deleting the apps from your iTunes library and then transfer them to iTunes. See:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer
In iTunes 11 use Control+B to show the Menu bar then go to iTunes>File>Devices>Transfer Purchases
You can't add them back under another iD -
Whilst updating to IOS5 on my iphone 4 it was interrupted whilst restoring the contents of my iphone!!! Now when I try and restore it asks for a password to unlock my iphone backups - I have tried several but it states password is incorrect and accordingly I cannot restore backups and have lost loads of important information!!
I would really appreciate your suggestions on what to do.
Many thanksPlace the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased. Some glitch occured and you have to restore/erse the iPod. Y will have to restore from an existing backup if y ohave one.
iOS: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

For how to restore:
iTunes: Restoring iOS software
To restore from backup see:
iOS: How to back up
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store -
Can you help me get all my previous information from Itunes onto my new IPhone?
My other one was stolen and now I can't transfer my pictures and music. It keeps asking for a passcode? I have tried my apple passcode, my phone code...What does it want?If iTunes is asking for a password to restore from an iTunes backup, then yes, you did set one up. You must have selected 'Encrypt iPhone Backup' when you created the backup. If you don't remember the password, then you'll have to restore the device as new.

My battery was not working properly (kept running out over a few hours.) I was advised at the apple store to restore my iphone which i did. When i try to restore it to my back up it keeps asking for a password but i have no idea what this password is? could anyone help?
If your backup is encrypted, you cannot restore without the password.
You can continue to backup but you cannot restore without password.
There's no way to retrieve the password.
Warning: Make sure it's a password you will remember or write it down for safekeeping. If you encrypt an iPhone backup in iTunes and forget your password, you can't restore from backup and your data will be unrecoverable.
