I restored my iPhone 5 and nothing happened.. help?

So the question says it all... My iPhone 5 was disabled from a friend, and I had to restore it. I did everything http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212?viewlocale=en_US says, and I open up my iPhone, and it still says "iPhone disabled connect to iTunes"... What could I have possibly done wrong? Help?

The two first choices are to reboot by holding both the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears, that can take up to half a minute. It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
Delete the files sessionstore.js [2] and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

If you see files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js then delete those as well.<br />

I seems like I go through many issues with browers flagging mainstream sites with "untrusted site" pages. sites like: Google, Yahoo, or Hotmail. Normally, creating an exception does the trick but in the case of Hotmail it creates the exception and loads me up a white page. I can log-in w/ my original Android browser, but not ff14. I've also tried clearing my site settings but to no avail.

Try to force your phone into recovery mode. Disconnect it from the computer's USB cord. Turn it off if you can by holding the sleep/wake switch until you see the red slide to off. If you can't turn it off, please continue. Press and hold the home button while plugging it into the computer's USB cord. Continue holding the Home button while iPhone starts up. While starting up, you will see the Apple logo. Check out the articles below to get your iPhone to show up in iTunes so it can be restored. Start with the first one to see if you can make any change to show up in iTunes and if it does not, then pick either the second or third article for the type of computer that you have.
