I know it can be frustrating when you run into issues updating to the new iOS. In your specific situation, I would recommend placing your iPhone in what is called recovery rode and restore it from there. I have an iPod Touch 8GB 2nd gen and it's only showing connect to iTunes screen and not letting me past that as I have a password - Already reset and it just loops back to the same screen with the same problem.
Any idea what I can do to fix this?you can connect the iPod to iTunes in recovery mode:
Hold down the Home button and the Power button simutaneously, until the screen goes black and the device turns off.
Now let go of the Power button, but continue to hold the Home button. Your iPod Touch/iPhone should have turned off and the screen should not be on.
After around ~10-20 seconds, you will hear a noise (beep/ding) from your CPU as if it had just recognized a new hardware device
and restore it to default settings, in order to remove your password (or just remove your password directly from the iPod touch, in order to sync with iTunes) -
My iPhone just said "SIM failure" and now says Invalid SIM in the upper corner. What's this all about? Any ideas on how to resolve this.
Looks like the Sim card had a catastrophic failure. Burnout, short somethng like that.
You can try to take out the tray and reseat the sim card inside and see if that gets it back.
Also try resetting the phone at least once by holding down the home and power buttons until the Apple Logo shows up.
If none of this works you'll have to contact your cell carrier to get a new sim card, as it probably fried and is no longer functional. -
hey guys, im in need of seriously help. i let a friend jailbreak my iphone and now its jus stuck at the apple screen. i tried rebooting it and everything but nothin is working. does anyone have any good advice?
put the phone in DFU mode (do a search for how to do this) and restore to the latest firmware. you may have to download the firmware from apple and when selecting restore or update in itunes press the shift key and select the firmware.

Have a Droid Razr M that is stuck in the reboot screen. I tried a hard reboot and a factory reset, and it still gets stuck in the reboot screen. How long should I wait for the reboot to occur until it starts back up? I tried the steps for a factory reset given on this site, but it still does not want to work. I am having difficulty discovering how to finishing the restoration process to my iPhone 4S...
Connect it to the computer via iTunes, then hold down the home screen button and the sleep/wake button so it's almost like you are forcing the phone into recovery mode. The connect to iTunes graphic will show up on the screen of phone, iTunes will get you an alert message saying iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode, restore on iTunes to use iPhone.

I have a Iphone 2 bought several years ago from the us, and used it in romania with a romanian number and in the uk. I think it was unlocked in the us by iphone. I did a stupid thing and I reset the phone to the factory settings and now I inserted a lyca sim and it says that The sim card inserted does not seem to be supported. please help me!!!
I'm assuming you're referring to the original iPhone.
More than likely, it was jailbroken or hacked to unlock it.
In the US, all of the original iPhones sold were locked to AT&T. AT&T did not offer unlocking at the time.
The best case scenario is that it has now re-locked to AT&T. Luckily, AT&T now offers unlocking. All original iPhones were sold at full retail. They were not subsidized.
