I restored my phone to recieve ios7, it downloaded fine and now halfway through my factory settings it says it cannot be activated and isn't letting me use my phone. What do I do?

I seriously don't know what to do, the screen says:
"Your iPhone could not be activated because the activation server cannot be reached. Try connecting your phone to iTunes to activate it or try in a couple of minutes
if this problem persists, contact Apple Support at apple.com/support"
It's done this like 10 times, someone please explain?

Apple's activation servers are probably very busy. You may want to wait for a little while before trying again.

Sorry, but once you have entered your passcode too many times, you have to restore it. Do you not have a backup you can restore it to?

The servers are getting slammed. Bunch of people trying to download iOS7 at the same time.
There is a chance activation servers might be down/slow for now. Just keep trying throughout the day. Some other forum users are experieincing similar things.
You can also try the apple document for activation issues, but I'd assume its server issues. http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3424

I have not done any back ups and obviously dont want to lose any information. Please can anyone help

In trying to include what information all that I could I should have specified I DON'T KNOW THAT IT WAS DEFINATELY JAILBROKEN when I took it to the apple store they told me there's no way for them to tell if it was jail broken or not. I'm only going by what ppl have told me COULD HAVE BEEN DONE TO THE PHONE. With that said the only thing I know for sure is that the apple tech at the Genius Bar told me that someone took control of my root menu in February & I've had no control of my phone since. I asked him how to regain control & how he knew his exact words were "oh that is out of our scope of capabilities here at this level & you would need an apple engineer to fix it". I said ok then how do I get an apple eng then? He laughed & said you can't!!!! To which I was furious I came home & called apple requesting to speak w/the fraud dept to file a report they said we don't have a fraud dept!! So after a 45 mn phone call again I left w/no answers.

I DON'T HAVE THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO SPEND HIRING AN ATTORNEY & Although I appreciate your suggestion I fail to how an attorney would be able to facilitate in any way since there's no suspect. I cannot prove that it's him doing it so I certainly can't pursue legal action w/no proof & no money. :'((

I was looking more for a TECHNICAL way to avoid this happening w/a new phone should I buy one or trying to get them out of my phone now! Such as installing some kind of software protection?? Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Restart the device.
Restore as New.
Might also be a good idea to contact the carrier just to verify there are no account issues.

You need to either reload a compatible version of it from an iTunes library which contains it, or sell the iPhone and put the money towards a newer device. An iPhone 3G can't be updated past 4.2.1.

Delete synced photos
In iTunes, locate and click on your device.
Click Photos.
Choose "Selected albums" and deselect the albums or collections you want to delete.

Itunes promted me to update my software and my iphone 4s froze with the bar underneath the apple logo. I pushed the home button and start for 10 secs. Now itunes is saying restore to factory settings, it says in itunes I backed up . Should I reset?

Thanks. The prompt it is giving me is if you are expeirincing problems with your iphone you can restore its original settings by clicking restore. Should I click that? It is saying my iphone is in recovery mode.

I have had problems with the internet connection with my IPhone 5. I have tried to restore the software to see if that would make a difference.
I have tried now for at least 10 times to restore the software. The phone is locked now in restore mode, and when I get to the end of the restore to verify with the server, i get a consistent unknown error message. Sometimes is says my phone cannot be found.
The phone has the connect to Itunes on the screen and cannot be used.
I am running out of patience now....need urgent help!!
