Good afternoon. I tied my iPhone to the general account, of it changed the password. I restored the iPhone, but now I can not activate it. Help please. Just in case, I left my IMEI.

I used to be able to download temple run onto my iPod 2nd generation. I then had to restore the iPod but now I can't re-download temple run onto it. It says you need a higher ios number. So, you need an older version of the iOS app, because the current version no longer works on your iPod touch.
If you do regular backups of your hard drive (as you should), such as by using Apple's built-in Time Machine (if you use a Mac), you may find the older version of the app in the backup archive, and restore it (replacing the newer version). They are stored in the iTunes Media folder, in the Mobile Applications sub-folder. You should then be able to sync the older version to your iPod touch.
I can't think of any other way to get it back...
NOTE: An 2nd gen iPod touch can run up to iOS 4.2.1. If your iPod touch is running something earlier, and that is why the app no longer works, you can also consider updating the iPod's iOS.
I use an even older iPhone (original). I avoid this potential problem by aways updating its apps on the iPhone, not in iTunes on the computer. When I do it on the iPhone, it will not download a newer version of an app that won't run on my old iPhone. -
I probably misclicked when I activated the security lock on the iPhone and now I can not figure out what password I entered. Moreover, I have patches and funky looking phone so I can not restore iphine pres itunes. Please advice.
Your only recourse is to force it into DFU mode:
Turn your phone off and connect your cable to the computer, but not the device just yet. Start up iTunes. Now, hold down the home button on your phone and plug it in to the cable - don't let go of the button until iTunes tells you it's detected a phone in recovery mode. Now you can restore to factory settings. -
I have purchased iPhone 3g device from my friend, I connected it to the iTunes to upgrade from 3.1 to 6.0 as many softwares were not being installed as iOS was not up to date. I upgraded but now I can not activate my device. What I should do now??? i am really feeling difficulty because i have been disconnected from the network.
I am from Pakistan.The 3G cannot be updated to iOS6, it can only go to iOS 4.2.1.
Activation issues are generally the result of the device being hacked or jailbroken. -
I restored my iphone but now it will not power on fully. The Itunes plugin appears. I plug it in and restore as requested but the phone never restarts like it says it will. I have done this several times now but nothing. Suggestions?

I'v done update IOS version 6.0 in my Iphone 4S, but now i can not activate Wi Fi icon clicking, it is passive.
Previously was installet IOS version 5.1.1.
What should i do?Try these:
1)
Double tap the home button to bring up active apps at the bottom of your screen.
Tap and hold one of those apps until you get a red circle with white minus sign in it at top left.
Tap the red circle in every app on the bottom. This closes active apps.
Shut down the phone and leave it off for a couple of minutes.
Turn phone on.
2)
Turn on Airplane Mode
Power down
Leave phone off for 10 minutes
Power up
Turn Airplane Mode off
If this doesn't work, then sync -

When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
(You also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
orange Firefox button ''or'' Tools menu > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now")
(2) Remove your google.com cookies (save any pending work first, if applicable) using either of these. While viewing a page on the site:
* right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
* Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
Then try reloading the page. Does that help? -

My phone is an iPhone 3gs too, and last night actually it said the same thing, "No Sim Card" and my friend and I started panicking but I did what I call a "Forced Reboot" where you hold down the Home and Power buttons until you see the apple logo. DO NOT RELEASE UNTIL THEN otherwise you are just shutting it down. So, I did that and it worked again....

If you want to solve your problems, unjailbreak. And don't do it again, because jailbreaking causes problems as you read about in that article. You can try Recovery Mode: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808

See if you can force the phone into recovery mode:
Turn your phone off. Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, iTunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new. -
