I sat on my ipod touch and it cracked would i be able to fix it in the store
I sat on my ipod touch today and it cracked would i be able to go to the store and get it fixed there?
Is it still in warranty? If yes, then you might be in luck. But at the same time they may refuse because its your fault for sitting on I (not trying to be mean, just saying). However, with my experience with Apple's repair service, they are really nice and will do a lot to satisfy the customer, so they might replace it or just give you an option of trading it on for a refurb or something. I would call and find out or just stop in the store and ask. Worst case is them saying they wont fix it.
Good luck, hope everything works out.

Of course not.
Like any warranty it does not cover damage. You would have to pay like everyone else. -
I have an iPod touch 4 generation. Would I be able to switch it for an iPod touch 5 generation?
Apple will only give you a 10% recycling discount if you turn in an old iPod when you purchase a new one. Better off selling it yourself.

Hi there,
This usually meas that iTunes can't find the original files. I would recommend taking a look at the article below for some tips on locating that lost media.

ALL of your music should be on your computer in itunes. Is it not?
How did it get on your ipod in the first place if not from your comptuer?
Everything on your ipod should be on your computer and you should be syncing regularly. -
I had my ipod touch and iphone synced to itunes on my PC and basically managed my photos and music, etc. from there. However recently my computer died and I am considering replacing it with an ipad eventually. Can I still add stuff onto my two devices? And if so, am I limited to apple store purchases only? Can I retain all the photos and non-apple store downloaded music that is presently on these two devices? Any guidance in this area will be very welcome!
Morning @mb,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
For more information on this, take a look at this article:
iTunes: Transferring media from your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or iPod

Music imported from a CD or another source
iTunes cannot transfer this media back to a computer. Make sure to back up your iTunes Library, or you can use iTunes Match2.
Best of luck,

I keep trying to update my ipod touch 4th gen, and on itunes it tells me i'm not connected to the internet, even though I am connected, what can I do?
Try:
iTunes for Windows: iTunes cannot contact the iPhone, iPad, or iPod software update server
Next, try doing a manual install/update using the instructions here:

I bought the new iPod Touch today, and tried to update to newest software, got an error code "6" and now is in a cycle in which it keeps downloading the update and then telling me the iPod needs restoring... over and over again. Like Ground Hog Day...
Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!I have exactly the same Problem ! iTunes starts downloading the 885MB of the update over and over again, One Cycle takes a Lot of time.

how can i restore my apps to my ipod touch?.. I lost all of them when went to ios5 and cannot get them back onto the ipod.
Welcome to the Apple Community.
If you are saying you can't turn off find my phone because it is still using an old ID, you need to change your ID back to the old address at My Apple ID turn off find my phone then change your ID back at my Apple ID. -
This is irritating!!
VoiceOver changes the gestures used to control iPod. Once VoiceOver is turned on, you have to use VoiceOver gestures to operate iPod—even to turn VoiceOver off again to resume standard operation.
It's easier to use iTunes to turn it off. Connect to iTunes and go to the Summary Pane. Click the "Configure Universal Access..." button. In the "Seeing" section, select "Neither" and click "OK". -
You can transfer iTunes purchases to the computer by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer
You can transfer other stuff by using the third-part programs discussed in this previous discussion:
Best iPod to PC
If you previously synced to another computer and do not have the backup files you will lose your app data. You will have to restore to factory defaults/new iPod and then sync to the new computer. -
it wont turn on after reset to factory settings
there is a program called recboot. you can download it for free in two parts. one part takes your device out of recovery mode and the other puts it into recovery mode. ive used it before but it doesnt always work and you have to be patient. try it and tell me what happens

I purchased an Ipod Nano from someone yesterday. How do I register it in my name and unregister the previous owner. I have a 4th gen Ipod touch and was told I could add songs from my library to the nano but we can't seem to do anything with it. HELP please!!
Connect it to your computer and restore it as a new device. Then chose what music you want to sync with it and do so just like your Touch does.

I have an IPod touch and it had a password on it. I cant remember the password and do not have the computer anymore that I used to sync to iTunes. The message that I get is "iTunes could not connect to iPod Touch because it is locked with a passcode. You must eneter your passcode on the iPod touch before it can be used with iTunes."
How can I go back to factory setting (knowing that I will lose what is on the IPod) and use a different iTunes account.Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

Transferring photos from an iPod to a PC
Is this possible? Seems not. In the good old days a PC would open software to allow you to open the folder (device) and abracadabra it was done. Now the PC does not recognise the iPod. So what is the answer? Anyone?
