I saw that I can order an iPhone and they will connect it to my Verizon change any Verizon Settings I want, etc.
I saw while surfing that one can arrange to have the Apple Store get their new iPhone up and running uing my Verizon, which is my carrier settings, set the phone up, give some explnation on how to use it (which I need since I have never had an iPhone), and can't remember how they worded it but it said something like use the product discounts available to the customer, set the minutes, data device amounts, text, etc. I have no idea if they charge for this, but since everytime I look at the Verizon iPhone area the day for the next available iPhone keeps getting pushed out a month or so. I have no idea if the New Every Two, whcih I have $50 coming from the data device line and $35 from the cell line, would also count and be given at the time of the set-up and somehow get the money back from Verizon.
I have no idea if a Mobile Hotspot like the MIFI 4G is worth having anymore but when I got the MIFI 3G it was awesome to drive across the Statesaand hook my MBP up to the MIFI and surf no matter where I was. Can the iPhone do this now? Can the iPhone act as a Mobile Hotspot like the MIFI2200 3 or 4 g I had but until I got out of SLC I was always running into trouble. Can the smartphones, especially the iPhone act as a mobile hot spot? I heard when they first came out they were one day going to allow one to be able to I think it is called tethering from the iPhone to another device, in this situation the MBP? anybody know if the iPhone can be used as a mobile Hot Spot if I hook up my MPB to it somehow and use iot to surf?

I have 2 lines that the contracts are expired. I see that I can set an appointment, have them set up the iPhone of choice to my Verizon account and it even says that they will give me any product upgrade benefits. I find this hard to beleive. For one of the lines i have a product upgrade of $50 (Verizon calls it New Every Two which they did away with but still offer it to people who had it and did not use it yet). On my other line there is a $35 product upgrade. I can't beleive that Apple would give these product upgrade rewards( the $50 for the one line and the $35 for the 2nd line)

It sounds like you may have purchased a CreatePDF subscription through safari, using our web interface. If this is the case, the good news is that subscription will also work with the (free) Adobe Reader. Simply install the Reader from the App Store:

Once installed, you can then use "Open In" from another app like Mail to open the Word document in Adobe Reader. Reader will show the word doc, but it will also show you a message pointing to the "convert" button (A document with an arrow through it in the toolbar). Pressing this button should prompt you to sign into Acrobat.com. Use the same account you used to purchase your subscription and Reader will upload the word document for conversion, placing it in the Acrobat.com and Outbox section of the Reader. I have just recieved the Iphone 4s and have updated it etc, i have just started to use the SIRI app which is great but when i want to search for say business etc it says it can only search for these based in the US. Im in the UK and have found this a little frustrating not being able to search for things locally.
Is there a setting i have to change or update.

Cant download previous purchases on my account. Bought them via my iphone, but when i try to sync it they dont come up and when i try to download them via my phone again it just doesnt work, and when i try to download them via a computer it just says purchased but they arn't in my itunes library?
What types of item that you can redownload depends upon what country that you are in (music, films and/or TV shows can't currently be re-downloaded in all). If they are still on your phone then you should be able to copy them over to your computer's iTunes via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases.
What you can redownload will show under the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage on your computer's iTunes and the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app on your phone. How can i change my files from cwk to normal files that i can send to anyone and they can open them
i have an imac with snow lepard program, and all the files from apple work finish, once saved with cwk.

HELP thank youAW WP & SS files can be opened directly in Pages and Numbers (iWork). From there they can be exported as Word or Excel, but there may be some loss of formatting.
Just drag WP file onto the Pages icon in the Dock, or a SS file onto the numbers icon. Likewise presentation files onto the Keynote icon.
Or you can right-click on the file and use the "open with" dialogue to choose the relevant application.
Databases are less easy.
You can export AW DB files as ASCII text files which can then be imported into Numbers. Not ideal, but OK for simple lists.
You can then export them as .csv files which can be imported to most third-party database applications.
For drawing and paint files, Intaglio looks OK, but pricey. You may find others with a bit of searching, but that's the only current app I found that claims to open AW draw and paint files (as distinct from MacPaint and MacDraw).
Addendum; I'm told that the ASCII extension can be manually changed to .tsv (tab seperated values) which should also open directly in many database apps.

If there is an available wi-fi network you are in range of that is not recognized by your iPhone and your iPhone does not recognize any wi-fi network, if no change after restoring your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup, your iPhone has a hardware problem with the wireless card or with something else. -

My ipad does not communicate with my iphone on one of my email accounts and will not remove deleted emails that are done on the iphone and vice versa, what setting needs to be changed?
It's my understanding that an iPhone can only sync with one computer. You need to choose one computer. Sounds like it syncs at work, but not at home. If you want to just sync it at home, then you have to make sure the home computer has all the info that you want on it, like music etc. Then you have to deauthorize the work computer for it to sync at home. When you connect it will ask if you want to set up as a new iPhone or restore from backup. If you don't have a backup on the home computer then either way you will be wiped clean. So any photos, contacts, notes etc you have will be erased. You would need to backup or copy your photos from your iPhone. When you connect it to your home computer, it will give you that popup message to open your iPhone files. Then you can copy those photos and save them onto your computer and sync them back in through iTunes.
For your contacts, do you use any type of address book? If so you'll want to back that up and then transfer to your home computer. For notes, you can just email those to yourself and then save that email. I use MobileMe so the contacts issue is easily resolved. -

I have a linksys WRT54G router that we use as a base. I want to use Airplay using Airport Express and hook up my stereo to it. How can i set up my Airport express without a PC/laptop? I just downloaded Airport utility on my iphone and ipad,will that work? The first message that AirPort Utility will display during the auto setup will be that the Express will be confgured to "extend" the network. When AirPort Utility analyzes the network further, and sees that the Express cannot "extend" the 3rd party network, the next message will indicate that the Express is being configured to "join" the wireless network.
Once the Express is configured, if you later go into AirPort Utility to check the settings under the Wireless tab, you will see that the Wireless Mode is indeed "Join a wireless network". -

I was updating my phone in itunes and the "update went wrong" and now the phone is not recognized by itunes. I unattatched the phone and it wont turn on or off, just shows a picture of the itunes symbol and a usb cord. In itunes it says that it is an unknown iphone and is in recovery mode so I need to restore the phone. If I restore the phone I loose all my pictures, which I dont want to do...and my contacts. Is there any way around this, so I can get my phone back to normal without wiping it all out? Thanks
