How can I make it stop doing this?
I have maybe ten or 14 tracks in a 3-minute song. I go to export a mixdown and Adobe says no, it's clogged up, I have to "close files" first.
Apart from not having a clue what that means, how can a three-minute song made of 10 tracks overload the temp memory which is by the way 256 megs in memory and a whole 80-gig separate dedicated hard drive?
I mean, sorry if I'm not the polite Adobiite here but what's wrong here?

Things are not always what they seem but yes this can be very frustrating.
Are you saying that if you open this session and then try to export a mix (without doing anything else) AA3 still insists on closing files because of temp memory?

If it is doing it while your device is plugged in, it is because it is set to automatically sync. Please go to: Preferences>Devices, and select the option to "Prevent iPods, iPhones, and iPads from syncing automatically." Also, I hate to be "that guy", but you spelt extremely wrong. Just a pro tip.

Can LR dynamically superimpose/watermark the file number onto the exported image?

I would like the file number text to show up on some of my exported JPG images. I need this for the purpose of looking up the original file. All I see in the watermark section is the ability to hard code text only. Is there a way to do this inside LR? Perhaps a plugin?
Alternately, is there 3rd party utility to do this to a whole folder of exported JPGs? That would be messy, but I really need to ID certain event photos ON the photo.

So it seems the issue is when iMovie is wanting to creat thumbnails, if I ask it to ignore then it's fine but if not it hangs up searching for the video file.

Now searching for "abcd", for eg works fine, but searching for "Topabcd" and replacing it doesnot work because there is a match for "abcd" in a different search scenario. How can I modify the code such that if "abcd" is already searched and replaced then it should not be searched for again or rather search for "abcd" as entire string and not if its a substring of another string.

Now that I'm a paid up supporter Maybe you will fix Firefox and return "Close File" to File on the menu toolbar.

I just degraded from Firefox 3.6 to 9.0.1 and found that one of the most useful tools is missing. On the Menu toolbar under File, "Close File" has been eliminated. Why? Why do I have to close the site I was looking at and go back to my Firefox home page and start all over? Why was "Close File" eliminated? It was one of the most useful tools in Firefox. I'm hoping I haven't gotten rid of the CD that has 3.6 install on it so I can upgrade to a great version of Firefox.

Some menu entries in the main menu bar are hidden if you use the mouse and only appear if you use the keyboard to open the menu (Bug 626825).

I am guessing one tedious way to do it would be to pass all the file names as command line arguments but I"m sure there exist a much easier and faster way to do it.

You need to pass only the directory name as parameter and then retrieve the files(recursively throug subdirs or not, however you wish) of that directory.
There were at least 2 threads yesterday on how to retrieve files from directory, and there are many others in the archive so I leave the search part to you ;)

Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the following page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page)...

From the link above (near the top of the page)....Under 'download locations' click on 'download@majorgeeks'
To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you just downloaded and ran.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Restart your computer.
Re-download Itunes (latest version form Itunes website) and install. It worked!
