I see a shadow of the cursor

Hi,
On some of my slides I can see a square shadow of cursor when
it is moving. This usually occurs after I have duplicated a slide
and made minor adjustments to the screen shot, by either deleting
part of the screen by merging a white text box into the background
or add a popup image ontop of the screen shot.
This occurs even when the slide property is set to high
quality.
any ideas?

Any chance of posting this somewhere so we can see?
Also, does it happen on other projects? For example, if you
just create a new and small project? It could be something that has
gone a bit sour inside the existing project. In this case, you may
need to re-create by opening two instances of Captivate and
carefully copying objects and slides from one instance to the
other.

At a guess you have simply chosen a blank Layout mode template.
Blank Layout templates have absolutely nothing on them, you have to add your own textboxes.
Choose a Word Processing template, they are listed in the Template Chooser sidebar.

Is it normal to see a shadow at the bottom of the macbook air?

My Macbook Air has a shadow that runs along the bottom of the screen. It's more noticeable when there's a white background. Is this normal on a Macbook Air?

I reloaded my old iWorks 08 to my iMac's new hard drive. With a new Pages document, I can't see the cursor. You can type in text but it is in white only. Any thoughts?

Hi. I lost my iMac's hard drive and had a new one installed. I reloaded my old iWorks 08 software and then transferred my Pages documents from a portable HD to the iMac. The files open but the original text in them (they are journals) are in white against the white background. Plus I can't see any sign of the cursor. I can hi-lite the text and change its colour but never to black. Plus the photos I inserted along side the text are barely visible, as if they had been badly faded.
Any thoughts on this? Many thanks.

You must run Software Update and bring your old iWorks 08 to the latest release for compatibility with the current OS.

I don't have a solution for you, but just wanted to let you know I used to have the exact same problem. I resolved it (for the most part....about 90% of the time, anyway) by adjusting the screensaver and power settings to never let the computer go to sleep.

I have imported my I photo library into Aperture. all the old i photo events are now in the aperture library showing number of photos but when clicked none display. I can see the photos if i run the cursor over the project. Help please.

When you click events in the aperture library no photos appear although if you roll the cursor over the event icon it show the photos. If you click on the event either on the event icon or in the library no photos appear.

Check, if you have any filters set. The search fields in the Insector panel and the browser should be showing "All items" or "Showing All".
The Browser search field could be set for each project and album individually, so you have to check it for each project.

For example: The projects count shows "20 items", but the browser is empty, because the project's filter is set to show only rejected items.

I can't see the cursor on the logon screen with my MBP when using it in bright sunlight.

I have a 15 inch MacBook Pro with an anti glare screen. I am running Lion 10.7.3.
It is being used in bright sunlight in southern greece very sucessfully apart from the fact I cant see the cursor on the logon screen to select the user I want to log in as. .
Setting the cursor to a larger size using the universal access options works really well once I have logged in but at the moment I have to dash for the nearest shade to be able to see the screen to log in.
Any suggestions? A key sequence to swap between users on the logon screen would do (there are only two)

If you're using it in bright light, you may be getting sunlight through the back of the machine which can wash out the display. The Apple logo on the back of the lid is actually a cut-out that uses the systems back light to make it glow. Bright light (especially sunlight) can actually shine through the back. As the users in the login are typically in the middle of the display, this is the area most likely to be washed out as that is where the Apple logo is. You can try just putting your hand over the Apple logo on the back to block the sunlight when trying to log in.

Skimming the templates in the Template Chooser shows you all of the pages available in the template once you open it. You can insert the one(s) you want, even more than one of any of them. Most users don't want or need all of the different pages, especially when they start the document.

Although it's possible, you should not test if the current row is the last one in a JTable. Instead you should test whether or not the current row is the last one in a VO instance, to which any particular JTable's model is bound.
So, please read the API documentation for oracle.jbo.ViewObject and oracle.jbo.server.ViewObjectImpl.

When I touch the "photos" icon on my 4th gen iPod Touch, I get a page entitled "Albums" - it's white, with many lines. At the very top of the screen, almost shadowed behind the word "albums" I can see the thumbnail of my album. But I can't access it.

Bring up the Multitask bar by double clicking on the home button, search for the photo app icon, tap on it until it starts to shake, hit the minus icon in the left corner to close the app.
Close the task bar again and start the photo app again, this time it should work.

MacBook Pro bought in August 2013 Black Screen and Can't See the Cursor

I took the OSX update in the beginning of November and now when I lift up the lid of the notebook and press 'on' I get a black screen and can't even see the cursor. I've tried pressing command + control + p + r. I've also tried command + s. Neither seems to fix this issue. Are there any other suggestions to try? Thanks in advance.

"Shadow" next to cursor question

Hello.
Very basic question I'm sure but I only bought FCE as I couldn't adjust very well to the i-Movie change.....
Anyway, I was happily dragging clips into the Timeline, putting some transition effects on them, adjusting, rendering and moving to the next bit. Very basic but what I needed to do.
Now I must have changed some sort of mode as the cursor now has a small dark shadow to the right of it and I can no longer just grab a chunk on the Timeline and move it or adjust an effect in the same way as before.
Blowed if I can find what I did or even where to start in the manual.
Any help appreciated.

I tripped over something similar a while back. I will describe mine and see if it matches yours. I have dozens of clips scattered over a few video tracks. I can select an individual clip then click select it and the 4 way move arrow shows up. I can then drag his clip anywhere. NOW here comes the tricky part.
1 IF you choose to put this new clip on any particular track you will notice either a right arrow ( NOTE how your tracks are split into 2 parts by a long horizontal gray bar) if your cursor is above the horizontal divider the cursor showsa right arrow --OR a down arrow if your cursor is below that horizontal divider.
Right arrow means insert ie it will drop your clip right there and shove everything on every unlocked track to the right
Down arrow means superimpose - it will write over anything on the track you are dropping it onto. Nothing else gets shoved out of the way.
THe fact it showed up in the middle of a project is bogus --- it may have showed up after you added enough effects etc to have not enough space to put your clip neatly in without over writing what is under it . I jsut tried it and i always see the 2 arrows when i move things around .
In re only one frame transition i cant help you -- you can set those timers up in some place i cant find right now --
