I see I'm not the only one with Cloud problems....

I did a search to see if others were having problems with the Cloud service. I started getting error messages on my desktop but didn't give it much thought because I don't care all that much about the desktop. But today I keep getting a message from the Cloud app....well I guess it's the Cloud app. It tells me to sign in...which I attempt to do....then it says I'm locked out and to go online and change my password. So I do that....still have the same problems on my phone....whatever I'm doing ...it stops and here comes the stupid app I guess asking me to log in to the Cloud. I use the new password and it still doesn't work. Then I checked the Cloud on the desktop...can't sign in to that either. So I have now attempted to call the number that has come up on my phone and on my desktop to call.... 800-922-0204...and after being redirected to some other number I've been on hold for over 15 minutes.
So anyway, now I see that lots of people are having Cloud problems and the really irritating thing is that the responses from the Verizon people are just no help whatsoever and they have this fake cheery sound to them...like they want you to think nothing is wrong and I haven't been on hold forever etc. etc.
Why not just admit that Verizon is having lots of troubles...looks like for at least a month but maybe several months....with the Cloud service?

And then when it's fixed let me know. But then I guess they couldn't charge me for it if they admitted it.

This sucks. I go in with a phone problem, they transfer everything to the cloud to do a factory reset only to decide they will have to send me a replacement phone. So I spend the afternoon trying to get my photos and stuff off the cloud, only to constantly get an error. I don't want the cloud, I want my stuff and to disconnect. They have me on hold for 10 minutes, try 100 things again over the phone, then ask if I want to wait while they get a guesstimate on when the cloud will be up. I said no, they will give me a guess and either they will be right or they will be wrong. She was surprised by that answer!

as per the question above. youtube videos, whether on youtube or on FB, do not show, just a black unmoving screen. When i disable all (just some does not work, it appears) the addons the problem is solved. Issue is, i would like to keep the addons and use youtube. I see a list of plugins here below; i do not know about plugins, i have no idea if and how they influence this issue.

     I live in Norway, and the phone has been either provided by a Norwegian carrier, or bought unlocked from the Norwegian Apple Store. You can check yourself by going to Settings-General-About-Model and type the model number (MC133KN in my case) here: http://iphonefrom.com/en/MC133KN But it`s unlocked, I placed a Lebara SIM in it and it works perfectly.
     If it has been carrier-locked then most(if not all) Norwegian carriers are selling the phones on a 12 months subscription contract. When the 12 months are up, the phone is being unlocked by the carrier either automatically, or upon customer`s request(depends which carrier you use).
     It`s good to hear that your 3GS works well with the iOS 6, still after having read about issues after upgrade I have a feel that the upgrade to iOS 6 may be a hit or miss.
     I read on a forum that early iPhones can only support 3 major upgrades. Can that be true?

You cannot update iPhone 4 to IOS 8.1.2, the highest you can update is IOS 7.1.2.
Unless you've iPhone 4S (looks similar to iPhone 4)

While this relates specifically to Leopard, perhaps you were falling foul of some driver issue.
Time to try updating your existing drivers and let us know. By the way, no, you were FAR from the only person with this problem. M-Audio have been very slow in getting drivers out. Let's hope this is now a thing of the past.

Am I the only one with no problems with the froyo 2.2 update

I did my update on 4/20 bout 10:30pm ny time it took bout 10 min to dl and bout 10 min for the install and what not, after that I updated my flash to 10.2 and tried out my new features, was amazed how fast it was like my phone was on redbull, everything is good battery life is bout the same if not better, not having issues like I been reading, so am I the only one, who else out there had no problems updating and no issues with it

I updated my phone to 2.2. Almost everything seems fine. I now have Flash and it made some small improvements in a lot of features such as E-mail viewing is a bit nicer and web viewing is a bit better. Some background colors have changed. The phone seems to run apps a bit faster or improved in minor ways. The GPS Google Maps stuff works well as before. It did reset my phone personalization presets like my homescreen, a minor thing. One game app stopped working but I deleted and reinstalled it and it works fine. I kept all my music, contact list and data on the phone. Nothing lost. All in all I am very satisfied with the update and pleased. Thanks Verizon and Samsung, now please get to work on Gingerbread 2.3.

After 10.4.8 - Am I the only one with NEW problems??

After years of experiencing glitch-free connection to the Internet via our cable provider and my AEBS and AX - (3 laptops and a G5 iMac) after the latest update, it seems the whole system imploded.
As I've posted here previously, after this "update" none of our laptops in our home would connect as they have before. Consequently, I unplugged everything from the system, reset the AEBS, and found (after troubleshooting) that it would connect ONLY if security was NOT applied. (Hence, I am running my network right now UNprotected, something I've never had to do.) If I gave the AEBS a name, and also applied security, NO connection.
The second part of this problem is that at our small office at another site, which runs wirelessly on a LinkSys router, all three Mac laptops (two new MacBooks and my PowerBook G4) all connected seamlessly and received strong signals UNTIL the latest update. Since then, none of the Macs will connect, though it still recognizes the LinkSys network, however, there are NO bars to indicate any signal.
The worst part of this is that the PC laptops in the office are still all connecting without a problem. One can just imagine the taunting we Mac users are tolerating at the moment while we are scratching our heads trying to figure out what's gone wrong!
Another friend of mine, elsewhere, who uses a Mac laptop and G5 iMac emailed me recently and is also experiencing these same problems with his home-based AEBS and has had to forego security to get his AEBS working as I have done.
Is Apple recognizing there is indeed a new, unresolved problem here?

An interesting diagnostic follows : it looks like the wireless network gets blocked for a few seconds, in a cycle. It does not happen from other wireless systems on the same network. Changing the access point (I bought a new one!) does not change anything, it's clearly related to the MacBook. A Powerbook G4 has the same problem. I really suspect the system update...
The ping delay is set to 0.1 sec to display more clearly the pattern (the default 1 second is undersampled but shows the same behavior). sudo is required to have a delay < 1 sec.

Hi to all Encore 2.00 users
I have searched the forums for a similar problem and have drawn a blank.
Can anyone tell me why, when making changes to an Encore Project the sound tracks to the visual ( which are still there) will not play.
For example changing the title of a button within a menu, or perhaps importing an extra sequence I find that I have to delete all the Audio from the various timelines and drag them in again from the project to make them play.
Providing I make no changes the Encore Project is just fine.
I would be very interested if someone could enlighten me as to why this happens.

My iMovie keeps freezing, causing my whole computer to freeze and all I can do is shut it down and then the whole project is gone when I open the computer again. It will say that I have 1 project or 2 projects or whatever but no projects show up? And if I create a new movie with the same name as the previous ones, it will say that the project already exists? This is the third time within 30 minutes I have to start all over with a project cause it just keeps freezing and I have to shut the whole thing down by pressing down the on/off button, cause its the only thing that does not freeze. It's frustrating, please help, anyone?

Video Capture help...I can't be the ONLY one with this problem!

Warning: Long post ahead!! I just want to make sure I'm providing detailed, complete information on my predicament. =)
Okay...I am using a PowerBook G4 15" running OSX 10.4.8. I recently picked up the Canopus ADVC 110 in order to capture video from my game consoles...this is something I was doing a lot of for a LONG time with the graphics card on my desktop PC. But the card is pretty old now and the screenshots it takes don't always look so good anymore, plus I thought it would be cool to be able to do this with my laptop, since then it's like having a portable TV. The Canopus works...more or less. But I have some problems...
The first is the lag. I have a splitter so I can output the S-video signal from the console to both my TV and other devices at the same time, and I've noticed there is a delay with the signal reaching my Powerbook screen through the Canopus (when doing the same thing with the PC graphics card, there is ZERO lag time between the TV and the PC). One of the reasons I wanted to do this - as I mentioned above - is to have another screen for gaming; my friends and I often have lan parties or simply have more than one game being played at the same time with a large group. The delay in the video/audio signal reaching the screen through the Canopus is very small, but in a fast-paced game it's crippling.
Second problem is that I have had a very hard time finding a program that will simply let me view the video in full-screen. The REAL-TIME video, that is...I want to view in full-screen (or at least a really big window, if not ACTUALLY full-screen per se) as the video is coming in. Plenty of programs will let me record a clip and watch that in full-screen, but the incoming signal is constrained to a little tiny viewer window. Again, this is important for the "portable TV for video games" idea.
Third problem: video quality. So far, the best quality has been obtained by iMovie, and for still captures, simply using OSX's screen grab function (shiftapple3 or 4) on iMovie, but even then everything still looks kinda grainy and fuzzy, the incoming video and the screengrabs. I tried a couple download programs, including BTV, which looked promising but turned out to be dissapointing with horrible screenshot quality and video quality in it's weird, screen resolutiong changing phony full-screen mode. All the screenshots I took with BTV have all these horizontal lines running through them. It's especially bad if the shot has any kind of movement in it.
SO...I have overall been very surprised and frustrated at how hard it has been to do this. Especially considering how easy it was on my Windows-based PC. I just bought an ATI card with S-video and audio inputs, and it came with a program that allowed me to view video in full screen, record clips, and take stills all in the same program, with decent quality (stuff looks a little washed-out, especially now that the card is three years out of date, but it doesn't have fuzziness or lines like all the screens I've taken with the Canopus do) and absolutely zero lag time. With my newer, sleeker Mac laptop (and it's a MAC...the graphics/video/creative stuff powerhouse) it seems to be nigh impossible.
I don't need a program with lots of fancy editing options, which all the ones I have tried seem to have. I just want to be able to view the incoming video in full screen, and take screenshots and clips with good quality.
And elmininate the lag, if possible! I don't know if this is an issue with the Canopus (or would be an issue with ANY similar device) or if it's something that could be solved with a different program. Any and all help is appriciated!!

I'm using the tools which fullfill my needs best.. so, if the PC offers you "better" results, use it.. no dogma..
delay: sure, the electronics have to digitize the video.. a process of high computation = time/delay ..
quality: a TV signal fills about a quarter of my Mac's screen (or less) .. looking at it in "fullscreen" you have to blow up.. .every pixel get 4x4 pixel = low quality...
and: you go from digital to analogue to digital .. there HAS to be a loss of quality ...
BTV offers full-screen, doesn't it..?

Am I the only one with this problem? And is there a fix for this? What causes it to happen? More details in the description. Thanks!

Hi, I have an iPhone 5s, sometimes when I'm using an app(game) I am unable to quit the app.
The funny thing is: the app is still working fine, doesn't hang and I can still interact with it, but I just can't quit it or access multitasking( be it using home button or assistive touch)
and
I'll have to force shut down the whole phone(lock and he button together), which I dislike doing.

My internet speed has not been what it's billed as since day one. However it was at least bearable. Now Verizon has hit a new low. My DSL service is basically unusable. It's there router, it's there phone line, and it's there responsibility to deliver what they are billing for. There blanket answer to all issues is to "Just reset the router" I have reset that thing so many times with no resolution I just want to throw it in the street. Well since I can't get through to Verizon by phone they can consider this to be my formal declaration of intent. I intend to Pro rate the internet portion of my bill until this issue is resolved one way or another. I am suppose to be getting at least 1 Mbs . My actual speed averages out to about 33 Kbs. Thats 1/3 of the speed I have been paying for. Well no more. You deliver 1/3 the service, you get payed for 1/3 the service. Starting with my next payment. Don't like it? Please contact my vendor service center for all matters concerning this incident.

I've had the same problem. I was paying for 1 mbps and receving about 33. Verizon then convinced me in November 2014, to upgrade to a higher speed. Since that time, I've been paying for 3-7 mbps but get less than 1 mbps. Months of complaints and no fix. Verison's repsonse is that there's nothing wrong on their end and so there must be something wrong with my computer. They will not send a service person out to my house as they said they can't find anthing wrong. I've told them that my computer can't be the problem, as my internet speed is fast when I take my computer other places. And when guests bring their computer to my house, their speed decreases to less than 1 mbps. I have taken screen shots of all of my speed tests to prove this. I requested tp be let out of my contract, but Verizon says they will not do that without charging an early cancel fee as they have declared they do not see a problem on their end. I also requested to receive a refund for the increased speed I've not received, but paid for since November. They declined to refund me. I'm at my wits end with Verizon. Is there a watchdog agency over Verizon?

From what iv read so far most of the probelms started happening when the new update came out. You would think because apple is normally on top of their game that this issue would have been fixed.. Hmm, i guess not. What are you waiting for apple?? Has anyone found an alturnative fix to this problem?

Also, people have claimed it to be a "bandwith problem" I hightly doubt that because i live with someone who has the excat same computer as me but they didn't update and can still use facetime.

After i downloaded the iOS 7 i cannot play words with friends in landscape mode and its driving me silly :0/ im not the only one having this problem since the download.

SInce downloading iOS i have not been able to play words with friends in landscape mode, emailed zinga and they cannot find a reason why. Before download i always played in landscape mode. People i know are also finding the same problem, even family, it rotates on other apps etc but not this,it will turn upside down but still in portrait mode, i and others have paid for this game for ad free. This would be an app issue, not an issue with Apple. If you can flip it upside down, your accelerometer is working fine and can sense what position you are holding you iPad, however, the app isn't allowing it to rotate. Just give them time, and I'm sure they'll come out with an update for the app that will have it working again.

My 6th generation ipod nano volume adjusts itself and turns down volume without me touching it. This is the second ipod on which this has happened. I can't be the only one with this problem. Help!

My ipod nano 6th generation has started changing the volume while music is playing. It doesn't matter whether I am running or sitting. It will turn volume down to zero in the middle of a song. This happened on my last ipod a few months ago and I returned it and got a new one. This is my second grey one. I don't want to have to return it again, but I might.
