I seem to be having an impossible time opening my itunes

I am on a macbook pro and running Mac OS X 10.4.11 with the 2.16 Gz Intel Core Duo.
This hasn't happened before. But it just wont open or before it does it says that closed. I have sent a report or two, but I don't believe that does anything.
Any ideas anyone?
I am sorry in advance if once you respond I don't immediately. picking up kids etc.

How full is your hard disk out of how much space available?
Are you using any cache cleaning utilities?
Is your data backed up?

Then I clicked on the box "local storage settings by site" and in the new box that opened I found '''"emp bbci co uk"''' I then clicked on '''''emp bbci co uk''''' to highlight it and proceeded to open the box below and changed Allow to Block, closed both the Adobe boxes and bingo, when I went to the BBC News and BBC IPlayer pages I was having problems with my problem was fixed.......No Firefox restart needed.

Having a hard time opening apps on creative cloud after renewing my membership

I just renewed my membership for the Creative Cloud and my first payment has already gone through and I have to Creative Cloud icon on my desktop. Although, when I go to access Photoshop, it sends me to the screen where it says there is a download error. I need this for school and it hasn't been working!! I am having a hard time browsing apps. Everything seems to be sub-categorized but I can't browse by sub-category like I can on my phone.

I am having a hard time browsing the app store on my iPad. I just got it and I can't figure out how to browse for example adventure games. On my android phone I can go into the app store, click on games, I can look at a list of subcategories such as arcade or board games. They are then sorted by release date or popularity. I can't seem to do that with the iPad app store. Hopefully someone can shed some light on how to do this.

Having a hard time signing into websites with Safari

Hi, I'm having a hard time signing in my username and password for e-mail addresses I use and for message boards as well. I use Safari all the time accept for my school website that requires IE. Anyways, I use Comcast and I have been trying to sign into my e-mail address name and everyime I click "sign in mail" Safari says "Safari Can't Open Page". So then, I went to my AIM mail to sign in there and then it said the same thing. Then I went to this Apple Forum to ask if anyone knows what the problem is, and then when I went to sign into here, the same thing. So right now I am using Camino, but can anyone help me with this problem or is anyone having the same problem as me? Thanks.

I too have been having a problem of logging into certain websites with a username and password. Instead of logging in successfully with Safari, a blank page or an error would occur.
This happened for: citibank, comcast, sprint, and miscellaneous other sites.
This problem apparently had something to do with my cookies since erasing my cookies seemed to solve the problem. Here's how to do it:
Safari -> Preferences...-> Security -> Show Cookies -> Remove All.

Having a hard time lining up the audio to the video with FCPX.

I'm having a hard time lining up the audio to the video with FCPX.
I'll just advise what I am doing.
I have recorded video of me playing bass guitar along to a song.
I have recorded the video in 720p with a DSLR.
I have recorded the bass guitar audio directly into Garageband (Using a USB interface) on a separate track to the song that I am playing along to. (It is played very well and is not out of time to the original)
I then mix the original song and the new bass guitar audio played by myself and export as an AIF in Garageband.
I import the video from the DSLR and AIF audio into Final Cut Pro X (10.0.5)
I can get the audio and video NEARLY bang on to timing, but its still ever so slightly off. As its ever so ever so slightly off it looks like I'm not really playing the bass guitar myself.
I'm moving the audio intricately but I just cant seem to get it lined up EXACTLY.
My camera picked up a tiny bit of audio so I can hear and see the audio wav on the video track to try and line it up with the audio wav of the AIF, but no matter what I just cant get it to line up and look exactly right.
Can anyone offer any advise or tips?

Make sure you have Snapping switched off.
Expand the timeline to see the detail.
Rather than lining it up manually you could try the Automatic Audio Synch if there is any audio on the original video.

Having a hard time selecting an iWeb website host

Now that MobileMe is gone and my website is down (yes, i missed the memo)... im researching hosts and having a hard time choosing.
I would like unlimited storage as I have a lot of photos on my site.
RAGE sounds good but seems pricey.
I'm looking for a company familiar w/iWeb so that if there are any issues I have some assistance.
I have searched the community and googled and keep getting just a few answers. Nothing that really gives me a solid sense about the companies. And it seems that RAGE does a lot of self promotion posing as customer which seems a bit sketchy. I might be completely wrong but thats the sense Im getting from the videos and results I'm finding.
Is there a site that gives solid reviews of the web hosting companies?

Having a hard time getting permissions to create directories and files in www folder:

So now I have a LEMP stack which runs fine and I have my root account secured and a new username "adriano". If I SFTP into the server using the username adriano, I am unable to create any files or directories. Trying to do a simple wordpress install doesn't work because I need to be able to create a folder for it, and a wp-config.php file. Both of which, like I mentioned, I do not have permissions to do. Yes, the username "adriano" has been added to the sudoers file via visudo.
I've never been very good at UNIX permissions so I was wondering if maybe someone can help me out?
Also, since I am using nginx it does not seem like I have a www-data group or user and my www folder is /usr/share/nginx/

No, no, you guys misunderstand me. I am not that much of an oblivious person. 95% of the time I understand EXACTLY what the code that I am copying and pasting does. And when I don't, I look into it further before executing said commands. I just tend to not remember commands so I google them, see examples, and then copy and paste them to avoid the busy work of typing out long strings. For example, it took me like 6 months to remember that to untar a .tar.gz file it was -xvfz.
But I digress. drcouzelis, I do have root access. It's my own VPS. However, I have always used shared hosting through different hosting providers and now that I got a VPS and have to do everything myself, I am a little bit lost.
I followed what wonderwoofy said and created a www-data group, added the adriano user to said group, and changed the owner of my http server root to www-data, and I SFTPed into the server again with filezilla and it still works perfectly. However, those "hordes of hackers" drcouzelis warned me about does not sound pleasant so I am really really really hoping one of you guys can tell me the next steps. Root login is disabled in the /etc/ssh/sshd_config file, and I also changed the port to a random port I created. My web files are all served from /usr/share/nginx/ (there are different folders in there that correspond to different domains.) Now what I am wondering is that if user "adriano" is in the sudoers file as ALL=(ALL) ALL, doesn't that pretty make adriano the same as the root user? The reason why I am so worried about this is because I heard/read countless times that working through the root user is BADDDDDDDDDD and will bring evil and shame upon your life (not in those exact words) and that you should never work with it. Also, do I have to worry about anything dealing with groups and/or users and/or permissions when it comes to PHP? I have php-fpm installed.
I am willing to buy anyone who can help me out with this a beer or two and I will be forever in your debt.

Some have managed to resolve the problem by cancelling the download, logging out of their App Store account and then logging back in again and starting over. The same approach also sometimes works for a stalled download:

Also, if you are connected via wifi, try connecting via ethernet cable if you are able to. It's a 5.3gb download and it seems the more reliable the connection is, the better.

Having a hard time transferring photo files

i seem to be having difficulty transferring photo files from my cannon image browser program to iphoto. the cannon image browser software came with my camera and for some dumb reason i have been uploading my images with it, but now i have come to realize how slow and clumsy it is. i am trying to get rid of it all together but don't want to lose my photos. i have tried creating a new file on my desktop and then manually moving photos to it and then transferring them to iphoto. this has worked a few times but now and error message shows up each time saying i dont have enough space on my hard drive to complete the import. i can't simply drag items out of the cannon browser into iphoto for some reason. this has become highly frustrating. please help.

What is your hard drive capacity and available free space?
Just like iTunes, iPhoto by default (I believe) copies a chosen photo for import to the iPhoto library - does not just transfer it from one location to another but there is a preference setting for this.
To confirm, are the photos selected for import into the iPhoto library and successfully imported still available in this folder? If so, there are now two copies of each photo imported - one in the folder and another in the iPhoto library.
At the menu bar, go to iPhoto > Preferences > Advanced and next to Importing, deselect "Copy files to iPhoto Library folder when adding to library"

Having a tough time with Prelude and Playhead movement.

I'm having a tough time grasping how navigation in the Prelude Timeline works, and will try to keep my questions short and separate, rather than a long list.
1) I've added markers to a clip. When clicking-on/selecting a marker that I've added, it appears in the HUD, but the Playhead automatically moves to where I click. That may place it anywhere between the In and Out points for that marker, when what I might want to happen is to select/highlight a marker, then move the Playhead to the Out point, (perhaps in order to move the Out point a few frames). There must be something about the Playhead behavior that I'm missing.
2) How can one Play only the part of a clip that has markers? Example: I have multiple markers, but I want to Play only the footage between the In point of Sub Clip 1 and the Out point of Sub Clip 1.
Is there a way to do that?
The difficulty in doing this seems to be compounded by the situation described in Question 1 above, i.e. when I select/highlight a Sub Clip, the Playhead moves to where I click.
I've tried various key combinations in the Timeline and the Marker Inspector, but no joy.
Is there a way to select and Play only a Sub Clip from its' In point to its' Out point?
Using Production Studio Premium CS6 on Windows 7 Pro, and Prelude Help>Check for Updates tells me everything is current.

Clicking on either the In/Out point to drag either one, they move as shown in your example.
I don't know how to record video from my screen to show the behavior, but when I do what you do in the first 2 seconds of your video, i.e. click in the middle of the colored marker bar, the CTI moves to where I click,
I notice that you already have a marker highlighted, then you click from an area without markers to the center of the first marker, then the center of the 2nd marker, then the center of the 3rd marker, all without the CTI moving.
When I do those same steps, the CTI moves to where I click. It appears you're using only Comment Markers. (I can't read the Marker text to know for sure). However, I''ve also tried it with Sub Clip markers, and a combination of Comment and Sub Clip markers, and the CTI still moves to where I click.
I've looked in Edit/Preferences, but nothing there seems associated to the behavior I'm experiencing.
Is there some other setting I'm overlooking? Maybe something "connected" to how the HUD affect CTI movement?

I have a PC DVR Net card and having a hard time connecting to the media server from my friends computer.I have read everything I can about port forwarding and I believe everything is right but I can't connect to my Web Cam server from another location. I do have it working on my Lan but when I go to a friends computer I can download the Web Cam fine but when I try to start the server it say's can't connect.My router is a WRT54G Version 3. I forward the Ports to the ports I was suppose to and I even made the computer a static Ip on it and everything seem's to work but I can't get into the server from another PC outside of my connection. My windows XP firewall is turned off and I even turned off the firewall on the router but still no luck. I hooked my connection up right to the computer bypassing the router and I was able to connect to my camera server from my friends computer with no problem so I know it's the router itself causing the problem..I used this one program to check and see if the ports were open and it said they were so I'm lost at this point. Any suggestions I would appreciate it very much.

Reset the router for few seconds ...
Disable all the firewall on the computer ...
Check the IOp ... if getting Ip - 192.168.1.X .... try to ping the Ip .... If getting replies ... try going online
If not gettting Ip -- assign static Ip ... repeat the step ...

I then tried wiping the original software from the computer and re-downloading from scratch. Each time I tried the download failed with a message saying “Service “Apple Mobile Device” failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services” At this stage, the only way forward was to “abort” the download. This I have done now four times and the same thing happens. When I did finally manage to get an i-Tunes shortcut on my desktop, the program wouldn’t open saying: “i-Tunes was not installed correctly. Please re-install i-Tunes. Error 7 (Windows error 193)” Any ideas to resolve this?
