I seem to have 2 libraries one within another

I'm not sure how it got that way but possibly when I reinstalled windows and itunes then copied over the old library from an ext HDD.
Is there any way to fix it? Do I need to fix it. I prefer to have things as organized as possible.

Firefox diverts most new windows to tabs, but there is an exception when a website uses a script to specify the window's dimensions or removes some toolbars. To remove the exception, you can make a change under the covers. This could be awkward for genuine dialog windows that don't make sense to view in a separate tab, but if you find it more annoying than useful, you can easily switch back.
(1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(3) Confirm that the '''browser.link.open_newwindow''' preference is set to its default value of 3 (divert new windows to a tab instead), or right-click > Reset to get that value
(4) Double-click the '''browser.link.open_newwindow.restriction''' preference and change the value from 2 to 0 (that's a zero) and click OK

For future reference, the possible values for the window/tab preferences are:
(A) browser.link.open_newwindow
3 = divert new window to a new tab (default) (checked*)
2 = allow link to open a new window (unchecked*)
1 = force new window into same tab
* First checkbox in Options > Tabs
(B) browser.link.open_newwindow.restriction - for links in Firefox tabs
0 = apply the setting under (A) to ALL new windows (even script windows)
2 = apply the setting under (A) to normal windows, but NOT to script windows with features (default)
1 = override the setting under (A) and always use new windows
(C) browser.link.open_newwindow.override.external - for links in other programs
-1 = apply the setting under (A) to external links (default)
3 = open external links in a new tab in the last active window
2 = open external links in a new window
1 = open external links in the last active tab replacing the current page

Two libraries -- one within the other

backed up all my music files onto external drive to clear my HD.
1. now inside the folder "iTunes Music Library" there is another folder labelled "Music"; some of the files in latter are dupes of the former and some are not.
other than laboriously going thru the files one by one and deleting dupes, is there a way to now consolidate these two into one single "iTunes Music Library?"
can i just drag the folders that are NOT dupes from the latter to the former?
and, despite the fact that there is no "!" next to the song title in iTunes, some of these will not play and i have to find / reimport from the "iTunes Music Library."
how about if i start all over again with a completely new backup?

The *iTunes Music Library* folder name might have arisen if you chose to relocate the media folder from the local drive. When you do this you can call the folder pretty much anything you like.
Dragging stuff around by hand will get iTunes confused. Personally I'd start by reconnecting iTunes with everything in the current folder structure using iTunes Folder Watch, just to be sure you don't lose track of anything. You can always choose to delete anthing you really don't want any more later.
You could tell then iTunes you want to use a new path for your library's media folder, e.g. X:\iTunes\iTunes Media\ where X is a drive of your choice, and consolidate the library to the new location. I'd also recommend you make your library portable and thus easier to backup/restore in future by copying your library files into X:\iTunes\ and using SHIFT-start iTunes to switch to the new copy of the library. After that you can worry about deduping. When iTunes tries to create another file with the same tag information it adds a tralling " 2", " 3", " 4" etc. You could try searching for these files with a pattern like "* 2.*", delete them (you'll still have the originals on the other drive in case of a mistake), then use iTunes Folder Watch again to remove the now orphaned entries. The drawback is that you might remove the older entry for a duplicated file instead of the more recent one. In part it depends on whether details such as Date Added or Playcount matter to you, if so you're probably better off deduping by hand.

After synching/backing up, it is asking for a password and i don't seem to have right one?

What password is it asking you for? Sounds like you've encountered 'activation lock'. It's an anti-theft feature. You need to enter the ID and password for the Apple ID you used to enable Find my iPhone before you can activate the phone.

In one of my iPhoto 'event' files other photos from another event seem to have doubled up over a different photo!!!!!

In one of my iPhoto 'event' files (named Thailand) other photos from another event (named Filey) seem to have doubled in the Thailand event, but when I click on the image (from filey) it shows the Thailand image!!!!!

What is your iPhoto version and your MacOS X version on your MacBook Pro? It looks like the thumbnails of your photos were wrong. Make a backup copy of your iPhoto library and try to rebuild the thumbnails. in iPhoto '11 try this:
Launch iPhoto with the key combination⌥⌘ (alt/option-command) held down and select "rebuild thumbnails" from the panel.

The profile will automatically be added back again when you connect to the network again. Here, I assume that you have a check mark in the box next to Remember networks this computer has joined.
If the box is checked and the network does not appear, then there may be an operating system problem with your Mac.
That would be beyond the scope of what we handle here with the AirPort Express, AirPort Extreme or Time Capsule, so you would want to post in the appropriate operating system community to follow up on that.

I seem to have two iCloud accounts, how do I merge them so I only have one email address

I originaly had an apple ID with itunes established many years ago. Some years later I obtained a .me account. It appears that when iCloud was created I somehow seem to have ended up with 2 identities. the original iTunesone and the one associated with the then new .me email. I would like to continue using the original iTunes ID (as most of my content is there) but iCloud insists that I need to create another .me email address for that iTunes ID. I do not want two addresses, can I merge these accounts and only use 1 .me addres?

You can keep the original ID for iTunes, iTunes in the Cloud and iTunes Match, and use a different ID for iCloud for email, calendar, contacts and bookmarks syncing and PhotoStream.
In iTunesStore>Account you can change the email address associated with the login ID if you with - the actual login doesn't have to be a functioning email address.
This means that iTunes will have a different login to iCloud, but Keychain will take care of this anyway so your won't need to remember which one to use. It's better security to have your iTunes login different from your easily discoverable email address, given the number of complaints about iTunes accounts being hacked.

It appears that your iCloud account on your Mac is still associated with the old email address. On your Mac, In System Preferences, are you able to click on iCloud and sign out of your old account? If so, you should then be able to sign in with your correct Apple ID and password.

My albums seem to have come apart and are listed for each individual song in some cases how do I get them back together , In some cases only one or two songs have been seperated from the album.

In Itines my albums seem to have seperated and instead of all the songs being listed under the one Album nake the same album name has a few here and then again another few. All the sings are there but if I play an Album I only get somoe of the songs. Is there a way of putting them back together without repoading them from scratch?

Generally setting a common Album title and Album Artist will fix things.

The tools on Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 seemed to have frozen. The crop symbol is 3 of the symbols nest to each other. The hand move tool is not one hand but 3 next to each other. Other tools won't work at all. Really nice!

Ya, okay ! I use a number of PSE programs, one of which is PSE 9. The tools for some reason seem to have frozen. When I use the move tool I don't get just one hand but 3 hand symbols all next to each other. Same thing with the crop tool, I don't get one symbol but 3 all next to each other. There are a couple of tools that just don't work at all. It's like the PSE 9 got hit with some virus or sorts. Oh well, live and learn. Trying to get through to tech service is next to impossible.

Have you seen this other thread you started about this problem?

Indexing - one document embedded within another

I am testing KM indexing in terms of examining how Trex handles the indexing of a scenario where you have one document embedded within another document.
In this case I have chosen to embed a PowerPoint (.ppt document) within a Word document (.doc document).
I index the Word document, expecting to therefore also have the PowerPoint document within indexed. When I search for the text within the embedded .ppt document I do not get results and therefore assume that Trex cannot index documents which are embedded in other documents. Please advise if I am correct.

yes that's exactly correct from my knowledge's point of view.
I had a similar issue with an HTML-document that contained another HTML-document as iframe and this is also not possible (I asked SAP about this, so for this I am sure).
TREX does anyway a transformation for all sort of documents to HTML documents (so also DOCs or PDFs are firstly converted to HTML before they are indexed). And in here TREX never follows any embedded content.

Under the FaceTime Account you can only have 1 email set up, but below that you can set up multiple email accounts as phone numbers, I do it all the time.
FaceTime is set up with my account, but since the iPad is more of a family device (its mine, but everyone is allowed to use it), my sister programed her email so that her friends can call her on the iPad and so did my Mom and brother. Their friends dial their numbers (email addresses) and the iPad still rings even though the main number is mine account.

I have been able to log into what appears to be three of the four iCloud accounts I have. Two of them seem to be remarkably similar, and one appears to be only for my MacBook.I think I know which one my iPhone is backing up to, as I successfully restored from a back-up last week. The fourth iCloud account I can't access via password or security questions. Any advice would be much appreciated.
