I seem to have an account set up in iCloud, but when I sign it, it does not show all of my content. It only shows a few of my apps, photo stream is missing How do I view everygthing on my iphone and ipad ?
My iphone4 and my ipad mini were synced to my computer, but now I don't seem to be able to see all of my content nor my photo stream. I did see everything there several weeks ago, so I know it worked. How do I access those from my computer. I can't find how to sign on.
I signed on to iCloud, but it only shows the icons for Mail, Contacts, Calendar, Notes, Reminders, Find Phone, Numbers, Pages and Keynotes. Where's everything else ?
I want to delete photos that are on my iphone, by doing so from the computer, not my phone.

What you've outlined in this part of the post is all that icloud stores for you outside of the backup. If you want to restore from the icloud backup you will then have for all practical purposes a carbon restoration back to your device if you restore from the icloud backup.

Syncing your device with itunes will then enable you to remove whatever photos you wish to remove from your device deleting them with the computer and not the iphone.

Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting that track from your iTunes library (if it's still in there then iTunes won't let you re-download it) and redownload it via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes : re-downloading.
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if it re-downloads in the same state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that song and use the 'Report a Problem' link. -

My MacBook automatically starts to sync iPhone and iPad when I open iTunes. I only want to sync with my iMac, but MacBook seems to override what I want as default for syncing. I have under preferences device ticked box to prevent syncing but it makes no difference.

This is an easy fix. You indicate that you get these emails just fine on your desktop, so they are not getting lost. They are just not making it to your iPhone or iPad. This tells me that you need to change the preferences of the accounts on your desktop machine. Each account will have a setting for what to do with mail on the server after you have checked it. The choices are to leave on the server, or to delete it.
If you have it set to delete, it won't be there when you later go check your mail from your mobile device. Most of the people I see post here with email issues have the opposite problem from you. They check their email from the phone during the day, then can't get it on the desktop later. It sounds like your iPhone and iPad are already set to leave on server.
All you have to do is go into your mail client on the desktop and in the individual preferences for each account change this setting. You may also want to check how you have deleted mail set up. It also can be set to be removed immediately, at a later time (like a week, month), or never. If you have it set to delete it won't be in your trash folder.

Try logging out of your account on the iPad / iPhone / iPod Touch by tapping on your id in Settings > Store (Settings > iTunes & App Stores on iOS 6) and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on it.

Viewing PDF documents on iphone and ipad
Hey, I just ran across something that makes no since to me so maybe some of you have ran across it before.
My son-in-law just sent me a PDF document that opens and is filled out completely but on his iphone and ipad it shows up as a blank document
I resent him the form that I can read but when he opens it the form is blank. If he selects quick look the form fills out and can be view. I would believe it has to be a setting because the form can be viewed on both my iphone and my daughter's iphone, but not on his.
The form was emailed.
He and I are using a iphone 5 and my daughter is using an iphone 6,
When the same email is viewed on the ipads it shows up as a blank document until you select Quickview then the form fills in and can be viewed.
I would believe it to be some setting but I can find nothing that is different on his phone than mine.
Any suggestions.If he can read the form when he selects Quicklook, that's a new one on me. That has never, ever worked for me. Form fields have never been visible as attachments in the built in Mail app on any iOS device that I have ever owned. he needs to download a real PDF reader app in order to view, edit, sign, etc. form fields. Tell him to download Adobe Reader which is free and it gives him all of that functionality. Other pdf apps will do the same things, but Adobe Reader is free.

How do i share a calendar between iphone and ipad
I have an iPad 1 and my wife has an iPhone4. Both devices are running iOS5.01. I want to share the calendars so that we can both see each others' calendars. In iCloud we are using the same Apple ID for both devices to facilitate a storage account.
Calendars are turned on in iCloud in each device. The iPhone can see calendar entries from the iPad but the iPad does not see calendar entries from the iPhone. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
When I go into iCloud Calendars are ON for both devices. But how does this relate to calendars in Settings-Mail, Contacts and Calendars that are listed under iCloud and also under all email accounts on the device.
Am I the only one who finds this very confusing?A couple of more points. When I log into icloud.com I only see the iPad calendar entries, not the iPhone entries.
Is the calendar tied to the Apple ID to an email address or what? The iPhone did have a Mobile Me account but I deleted that since it wasn't being used and that didn't change anything.

Hello all, I have a firtst gen iPad (running iOS5.1.1). I using my Apple ID to run iMessege on it. Recently, I bought iPhone 5 (2 month ago) running iOS 6.1.3. I sing up to iMessage using Apple ID but start new converstion from my phone number as caller ID. Somehow only 1 conversion syncs between my iPhone and my iPad. Recently it stop. my iphone is synced and backed up with another computer which is now broken...i have synced it with my new computer but it hasnt transfered anything over to itunes and when i try to add anything to my iphone it says all data will be erased and replaced with the current itunes? i dont want to lose all my apps and music.... i dont know how to go around this problem? i want to back it all up and sync it properly to my new computer so that is now my main computer , so i can add ring tones and music etc with out it erasing everything ive got. any answers would be great and muchly appreciated. thanks, im not sure what operating system my iphone has either.....
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion.
Use your backup copy of your computer to put everything on the new one.
It sounds like you have failed to do this, which is not good at all.
You will have to transfer your itunes purchases from your iphone. Authorize your computer for your itunes account
About iTunes Store authorization and deauthorization
Open itunes, plug in iphone, do NOT sync, click File>Transfer Purchases
When you do sync you will lose your pics ( photo library - synced from your old computer), your itunes content ( music, apps, videos,etc) , your contacts and your calendars. So do NOT sync yet. This is why a backup copy is so important.
Enter one unique contact and calendar entry on your computer.
When you first sync, you should get the option to merger the data. Choose it.
If you want your pics, then you will need to e-mail them to yourself before you sync. They will not be of the original quality as they are reduced when synced to iphone.
When all is as goos as it can be, then backup your computer, and always maintain the backup. -
