I set Application.Visible is false,but Toolbar still Visible

I set Application.Visible is false, the window of PS will hidden.
But when I run an action the toollbar will showon, that looks strange.
Is anybody konw how to hidden the toolbar?

I am having the exact same issue and searching Google for an answer doesn't help. Please let me know if you figure out a way to hide the toolbar/palette.

Applications will not open but Finder still working

Hi everyone
I'm having a problem with my iMac and would really appreciate some help. It had been working totally fine for a long time without any problems, however, when I woke it up from sleep last something seemed wrong so I restarted. The bootup took longer than normal and even at the login screen my iMac was working very slowly, but I did manage to login though. When I was logged in the system was running a lot more slowly than normal and I could not open any of the applications. Whenever I clicked on an app in the dock the icon bounced as normal but then after a short while stopped bouncing and went black, then after that returned to being coloured without the app having started.
The strange thing is that Finder seems to be working fine, it is running slowly but I can still navigate through folders etc. Also, I tried connecting to my iMac through my LAN with my MacBook and this worked fine as well and I could get to all of the files on my iMac's hard drive.
If anyone has any suggestions on what this could be and what to try to fix it, I would be very grateful.

I have had a similar issue. I don't have users set up on my computer, so when I restart it automatically logs me in, but if I log out and then log back in (instead of restarting) it seems to fix my problem. My problem is that I open the system applications and they bounce in the doc and the menu bar at the top says the program, but it won't do anything else. I think when this problem originally started that I tried checking things with the cd and it wouldn't complete the test. I should try that again when I have loged out and back in and all my applications are runing. Good luck.

Firefox 20, Ubuntu 12.04, Cinnamon desktop. "When Firefox starts" is set to "Show my homepage". I tried settting browser.sessionstore.max_resumed_crashes to zero. Still does it. I think it happens mosts often if I log out without closing Firefox first. Does not seem to matter what that last page was. This problem has existed for as long as I have been using Firefox. It seemed to go away at about version 17, but now it is back in version 20 (at least for me).
Possibly, uninstalling all my add-ons or closing all tabs and shutting down in proper sequence would fix it. Come to think of it, going to my homepage and closing all other tabs before I log off would fix it for sure. But, it would be nice if it just worked.

If the problem is that your settings are getting reset or failing to save correctly, you could check out this article: [[How to fix preferences that won't save]].
Have you tested with your extensions disabled for a few shutdown or system restart cycles to see whether that makes any difference?
Less likely:
Could you make sure this preference is set to false: [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Browser.sessionstore.resume_session_once browser.sessionstore.resume_session_once]. Usually is.
If you start Firefox with a shortcut, could you make sure there are no command-line options set that could override your default settings?

"Set Region" button grayed out, but I still have 3 region changes left!

In my black MacBook 13", the DVD Player's "Drive Region" dialog says I can change the region 3 more times.
The current drive region is Region Code 1.
I want to play a Region Code 4 DVD. The dialog says "Select New Region for Drive", and has a menu with "Region Code 4" hi-lighted, but the "Set Drive Region" button is grayed out and I cannot make the change.

Just to make sure you're aware, but your next change is your final one.
Why don't you try a Region 1 DVD just to see if it works, and to eliminate any chance that it's some hardware issue.

I was hit with Application Uploader error messages, but Apple still confirmed that the app is waiting for review...

Hello, I'm new to this FYI. I recently (tonight) submitted my app using the application uploader. It seemed to go through just fine, but after it was done I was hit with a bunch of error messages from the application uploader. However, I nevertheless recieved a confirmation from Apple saying my app was waiting for review...so does this confirmation mean that the upload was actually successfull? Or do I need to delete the binary and re-submit?

Status is also "waiting for review" along with a yellow circle. the binary details all look ok including the .zip file i uploaded. now that i think about it, maybe the error messages were in response to my second upload. because i thought the first one failed, but now I see the .zip is the proper name.

My new iPhone6 has vibration disfunction problem. I check setting and reset the phone but is still unworkable.

I missed 10 calls at least when I was watching movie in theater because I turned the sound off and vibration on. So I just found that its vibration function is unworkable. I just got the phone 7 days (tomorrow is the 8th day). So, I think Apple won't accept to change a new phone to me. Do u face the same non-vibration problem on iPhone6???

Oracle RDC Application - Database was locked but updates still allowed

I am working in the Oracle RDC application for a clinical study. The study ended and the Oracle database administrator locked the database, however, the users were able to go into the study and approve additional pages after the database had been locked. According to documentation, once the database is locked, the users should only be able to view the information and not make changes unless they have been provided "privilige updates" which was not granted to the users.

In that case, you probably want to ask this question in one of the Oracle Applications forums. You're far more likely to find someone familiar with the particular application you're using over there.

How do I turn off searching from the address bar. Setting keyword.enabled to false is not working.

I never want to search from the address bar. I've been able to turn off this horrible annoying feature in the past by setting "keyword.enabled" to false but this no longer seems to work. Is there any way to fix this so that searching from the address bar never happens with any search engine?

If you set keyword.enabled to false, then what Firefox normally does is check whether your address bar entry is a valid server name (first DNS lookup) and, if not, it will try fixup (e.g., www.+''what you typed''+.com) (second DNS lookup).
If you get search results, particularly if you get results from some site other than your preferred search engine, there are two possible explanations:
(1) DNS provider hijack.
There are some service providers that do not answer the DNS lookups honestly and instead will divert you to their own page of search results. In that situation, there sometimes is a link on the page to opt out, either right there, or behind an explanation (why do I get this page?) or a settings link. You may have to look around. Or if your service provider won't let you opt out, you might need to switch to using OpenDNS or Google Public DNS.
You probably should also check your connection setting it case that has been modified:
"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced > Network mini-tab > "Settings" button
Try "No proxy" here to see whether that helps.
(2) Bad add-on.
Some extensions will divert honest DNS misses to their preferred search site. Here's what I suggest for cleaning out bad add-ons:
(A) Open the Windows '''Control Panel''', Add/Remove Programs. After the list loads, click the "Installed on" column heading to group the infections, I mean, additions, by date. This can help in smoking out undisclosed bundle items that snuck in with some software you agreed to install. Take out as much trash as possible here.
(B) Then, in Firefox, open the '''Add-ons page''' using either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Plugins. Set nonessential and unrecognized plugins to "Never Activate".
In the left column, click Extensions. Then, if in doubt, disable (or Remove, if possible) unrecognized and unwanted extensions.
Often a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.
(C) Search for remaining issues with the '''scanning/cleaning tools''' listed in our support article: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware]]. Note that the tools are free and take considerable time to run. If they seem to finish quickly and then ask for payment, you might have a Fake AV infection. Please use the specialized forums listed in the article in that case.

I want to set the visibility false of my component on the click of popup
but the problem is when i generate the Pop Up on Page then it lost the control of all the child's on that Page and when i set the visibility false of component then it is not set

You could use PopupFetchListener - to set the visibility of the button to false.

JavaFX applet crashes while setting Group visible

Hi,
I have a big problem with my JavaFX applet. Sometimes I have to switch the visibility of some Groups in my applet. But often the GUI crashes and I have to close the browser and start it again. I think it's just the GUI that chrashes because the Java Console tells me the applet is running. Do anyone know how to fix this problem?

Partial trigger set showrequired attribute to true, but on page not seeing the required 'star'?

I have a selectonechoice dropdown list and a input field, i want when the second item of dropdown list selected then the showrequired attribute of the input field was set to false, if the first item selected then the showrequired set to true. I also want to see the 'star' sign which indicates the showrequired attribute visually can be seen show and disappeared.
I am using a autosubmit enalbed selecteonechoice and a partialtrigger (set the dropdown's id), but on page I didn't see any visual change : the 'star' sign is now showing or disappearing at all. Should it work? Or it's working but on page just not calling related CSS to show/hide the star sign? BTW I am using an el express for the showrequired attribute: showRequired="#{bindings.ReferenceValue1.inputValue eq 0? true: false}"
I also tried set the showrequired attribute in java method that listen to the dropdown list's onchange event, but still visually I am not seeing any change.
I did:

One more thing try showRequired="#{bindings.ReferenceValue1.inputValue eq 0}"

Applescript: set display alert to false

I am opening excel file with application "Numbers" and I receive the document warning alert box. I wish to ignore (set to false) these warning alerts. I've scripted:

...but I get a compile error on line 2

I have looked through the Numbers Applescript dictionary and dont see any property called "display alert" taht can be set to false.
I know that property works in Excel, however i dont think it exists in numbers.
not sure how to accomplish this.

Setting caret visibility - is this a bug?

I am using a readonly JTextPane but I need the caret to be visible. It seems that by default a readonly JTextPane has the caret hidden, so I call
transTextPane.getCaret().setVisible(true);
before showing the GUI.
However when my program loses focus the caret disappears, which is a bit odd, but more importantly when the program gains focus again the caret is still hidden.
Surely if I explicitly setVisible(true) then the caret should remain visible until I call setVisible(false)?
To get around this I have had to add a windowActivated window listener which performs a setVisible(true).

I do not have a problem with setting a JTextPane to readonly causing the default caret visibility setting to become false; but if I then explicity change this to true I don't expect a de-focus and re-focus cycle to cause my setting to be ignored.
Surely the JTextPane should respect your explicit settings whether it is set to readonly or not.

Set Property Visible Issue

Has anyone been able to get a layer with Set Property Visible = True or False working, with onLoad?

I have an image gallery state and each image in the gallery is a substate. Initially my "Next/Previous Image" buttons were only in the main gallery state and not the sub-states.
I wanted to have the "Previous Image" button be disabled on the first image and the "Next Image" button be disabled on the last image.
I was trying to figure out how to set the property of the buttons, but since onLoad only applies to the intial load of the SWF, that wouldn't work. (It only took me an hour to realize that ). I moved the buttons in with the sub-states and that took care of the problem.
I was thinking that having an onLoad "State" could be really useful, but I'm also beginning to realize that it's more a matter of figuring out "how" to solve a problem with the functionality that's there, rather than adding more functionality. In my case anyway. FC is to some extent - deceptively simple. It does much more than what appears on the surface.
