I set up iCloud on my iPhone and now my contacts are gone.

Is there a fix for this?

I am certainly no expert, but the solution for me was to open Address Book preferences on my iMac, and set the AB to Sync.  You might also check other threads for a solution.

    Welcome to the community.
No, your contacts and calendars etc are not completely gone, they are still stored in your iCloud account. To put them back on your device, you need to log back into your iCloud account.

  • WTH? Importing songs into my iPhone and now my contacts are gone?!

    Anyone?

Maybe check your iTunes settings before syncing the phone and make sure your contacts are checked to sync.
All your contact info should still be on your computer.

  • I downloaded an upgraded version and now my contacts are   gone. How can I restore them?

I donwloaded an upgrade and now my contacts are gone. How do I restore them?

Contacts are designed to be synced to a supported application on the computer or a cloud service.
Have you failed to utilize the device as designed?

  • I just enable icloud backup for my contacts and now my contacts are gone. I sthis just another new operating software problem.

I udated to the new operating system about one week ago. Not too many problems at first.
Yesterday, for no reason, I lost all of my bookmarks in Safari. Now it won't even let me do book marks at all.
With this in mind, I thought I should probably enable Icloud to backup my Contacts.  Big mistake ......Now every thing that was in my contacts is gone.
I can't tell you how upset I am.  I hope there is a fix for this and soon.

You can always resync the Contacts, Notes, and Messages by signing into those services with the same AppleID once you have the new phone set up.

I updated my IPhone 4 and now my contacts are gone.  What can I do to retore them?

    Snowbound
The tab that Roaminggnome is talking about is your "Info" tab.  As you can see my contacts and calendars on my iPhone are being synced through iCloud.
I also regularly take an export copy of my contacts and save it separately.  This doesn't help you now but it may help you on a go-forward basis.

  • I have set up iCloud on my iPhone and Macbook Pro. When I go to the iCloud site, I sign in, but when I click on any of the apps (Contacts, Calendar, etc), I get a pop up message telling to enable said app by setting up iCloud. Help?

    Hi,
I have set up iCloud on my iPhone and Mac. When I go to iCloud on the web, sign in, and click on one of the apps (Calendar, contacts, etc.), I get a message telling me to enable the app on my iOS device - which I've already done. Any idea why it's not working for me? Thanks!

This is presumably because you are running an earlier system than Lion. (Please always post your system when you have a question.)
The minimum requirement for iCloud is Lion 10.7.5 (Mavericks preferred): the iCloud Preference Pane does not appear on earlier systems - the MobileMe pane appears on Lion and earlier but is non non-functional - you cannot now open or access a MobileMe account.
To make use of iCloud you will have to upgrade your Mac to Lion or Mavericks, provided it meets the requirements.
    The requirements for Lion are:
Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor
    2GB of memory
    OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
    7GB of available space
Lion is available in the Online Apple Store ($19.99). Mountain Lion (10.8.x) is also available there at the same price but there seems little point as the system requirements are the same for Mavericks (10.9.x) - which is free - unless you need to run specific software which will run on Mountain Lion only.
The requirements for Mountain Lion and Mavericks are:
    OS X v10.6.8 or later
    2GB of memory
    8GB of available space
      and the supported models are:
    iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)
MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer)
MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer)
    Xserve (Early 2009)
MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer)
Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer)
Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer)
It is available from the Mac App Store (in Applications).
You should be aware that PPC programs (such as AppleWorks) will not run on Lion or above; and some other applications may not be compatible - there is a useful compatibility checklist at http://roaringapps.com/apps:table
If you are running Leopard on an Intel Mac you will have to upgrade to Snow Leopard to access the Mac App Store - it's available in the online Apple Store. However if you have a PPC Mac you cannot run Snow Leopard and cannot proceed further.

I set up iCloud on my iPhone, after that my contact list was disapeared, and I coudn't find out in my iCloud account. so How can I get back my contact list?

If your contacts aren't on icloud.com when you check from your computer, and they aren't on your phone, you'll have to try restoring your last backup (or recover them from another backup source).

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
The first thing you should do is have your friend log out of your account and change your password.
Do you have a back up from when you had the contacts on your phone.
