I set up photostream but ipad doesn't see pix

I've followed all the suggestions in the troubleshooting guides but nothing changes the outcome. I get a message on the ipad the "Photo Stream uploads and stores the last 30 days of photos on iCloud and downloads them to all your devices." Obviously I have omited some part of the procedure.

How is the Time Capsule connected to your computer? It needs to be a direct USB, FireWire, or Thunderbolt connection.

IPad doesn't see TV shows

My iPad doesn't see TV shows that I've downloaded to it even though they show up as taking up 6.35 GB of video memory on the "Capacity" screen (bottom graph) which is what they equal in iTunes. I play them fine on my iTouch and iPods. I open the "iPod" icon or the "Video" icon and they show in neither. They do show under the TV Shows tab under "Devices" on the left side blue area. If I select one in iTunes and open the "Advanced" tab the "Create iPad or Apple TV version" is grayed out so it's not that.
How do I play these??

What is the specific format of the shows that will not work on the iPad? The iTunes converter does not work on all formats. The format includes items not included just in dot suffix. It includes frame rate and audio format as examples. You might want to download the free program Handbrake and try converting them to a known iPad compatible format.

What is the file name of the video(s) you want to sync?
Another way. You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)

I have photo's in a folder but elements doesn't see them.

I have tried to import the folder's files but no luck, still doesn't see them. I have tried to; Show hidden files, Reconnect, All Missing files, Untagged Items, all with no luck. Any Ideas

Which operating system are you running on?
Which version of Photoshop Elements are you using?
What error message are you seeing when you try to import them - file not supported or already in catalog?
What type of file - raw? If raw, which camera produced them (Make & model)?
To see if the file is already in the catalog, go to the Find menu and select By Filename. Enter part of a file name that you are trying to import and see if it can find it.
Go to the View menu, select Media Types and ensure they are all checked.
Are you seeing the photos in other folders ok?

Logged into chat, but user doesn't see the room or participants

I am trying to help a user with iChat. He is in France and I am in US. He has a mac.com address.
The problem is he can sign into a chat room and I can see him in that room, but he can not see the chat room window nor the participants. He will get IMs from people that are apparently in the room, but he has no idea where they are coming from.
I can find how to hide the participant side window but unable to find any way to show/hide the chat window. iChat has not been hidden as his buddy window does show up.
There are differences in terminology on the menu bar and drop downs between French and English so even with screen sharing, it is not easy. Menu items are under different headers.
I have seen this before with some users, but usually a quit and reloading iChat will clear it up. There are a lot of cases of people thinking they exited a room, but their SN is still there until they quit iChat.
If I get information, I said I would let him know a solution.

I can recreate this.
On my G4, which used to be my prime iChat computer, I have several Rooms listed in Go to Room in the File Menu
One of these had been added to Auto Join list but not ticked.
I did this (ticked) but no window showed.
On the MacBook Pro I used another account/Screen Name to log in to the same room
After finding from Snow Leopard I had an illegal character, I corrected it on both computers.
The G4 still did not show the Room Chat window.
However the MacBook Pro showed My G4 Screen Name as being there.
I did find that if I went to iChat File Menu > Go to Room and Deselect the Auto Join and Quit iChat my G4 would not sign back into the room when that screen Name was logged in to AIM again at iChat Launch.
I hope this is the same for your Buddy.

The G4 makes the sound as to getting a new message but the window still does not appear and the G4 therefore cannot reply. Nor can I leave the Room.

Droid Incredible HotSpot shows iPad connected, but iPad doesn't connect to internet

I recently started experiencing issues with connecting my iPad to the internet via the hotspot connection on my Droid Incredible. It has worked pretty well, until this week. My 3G hotspot tethering screen shows that there is "1 connection", however, my iPad isn't recognizing the wifi connection. Since this issue with my phone, I have been able to connect my iPad with 3 other wifi networks--two were public, one was residential. So, that rules out there being an issue with the iPad's connectivity capability.
My phone's current hotspot security setting is:
WPA2 (AES)
Is there a DNS # that needs to be included in the wifi preferences screen on my iPad when connecting? Is there an update to the hotspot that I need to download?

If I understand correctly, your hotspot WiFi network is not displayed on your iPad as an available option? You shouldn't have to add/change any settings if it was working before. Try this from your ipad:
Reset network settings by selecting Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This will reset all network settings, including passwords for other saved WiFi connections.
Restart the ipad. Hold the power button until "slide to power off" appears. Slide to power off your device. When it is off, press the power button to turn it back on.
If the hotspot is still not appearing, you can manually add the connection by tapping Settings > Wi-Fi > Other and entering the Wi-Fi network name, security, and password. You can get the WiFi information from your mobile hotspot settings menu.

Time Capsule set up and wifi network OK but MacBook doesn't see capsule as airport device. Do I need to do a hard reset and start again?

I recently bought a Time Capsule and sucessfully set it up in accordance with the instruction book. The home network and guest network seem to work fine but my MacBook cannot find the Time Capsule wirelessley.
Initially I set up the time capsule connected to the MacBook with an ethernet cable. The Time Machine got 30GB way through a 60GB initial back up and then stopped for no obvious reason. Since then the capsule has not been visible to the MacBook. I have tried to reconfigure through Airport Utility but even after reperated rescans the capsule remains invisible.
Any help would be extremely welcome.

1. i would restore the express to factory defaut by holding the reset button on the unit with a paperclip while you are powering it on
2. if it restored, you should be able to see it in your wifi icon at top of screen as "airport express"
or you can see it in airport utility
3. then if you want to connect it wirelessly to your time capsule, you would choose "extend network" and put in relevant security and password....this would make the express a wireless access point, fed by your time capsule(main router)
if you chose to do it wired which is a better way if you have access to ethernet port at wall, you would choose "create a wireless network" and then under the "network" tab you would choose "Bridge Mode".....this would make the express a wired access point, fed by your time capsule(main router)

When starting iPad get one icon of iTunes and shows USB cable but IPad doesn't launch

My son tried to upgrade our iPad to iOS7 last night and this morning when attempting to turn device on all we get is an iTune icon and picture of USB cable and nothing works. Any ideas how to fix this

You are in Recovery Mode. Follow the instructions below to recover your iPad.
1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off, release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button.
5. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times to recover your iPad. Data will be lost.

Unfortunately, you can't restore an iCloud backup without using wifi so that isn't an option.

HT3500 I was using my wifi printer and now it doesn't print from my iPad but prints from my desktop. The iPad doesn't see the printer though its on the network it's a brother printer

If the problem persists after you reboot as suggested by Ralph:
Trouble connecting usually means interference, or another WiFi on the same channel.
If you have any cordless phones, keyboards, or cameras, check what frequency they use.
From a MAC or Windows machine you can see what channel each of the available networks are using. Make sure your network is on a channel nobody else nearby is also using.
