I have had the same problem with earlier versions of firefox and had to log onto virginmedia to do my grocery order with Tesco I did contact them a while back and it was tesco who told me to use another web bowser.when i downloaded the new version of firefox i was hoping the problem had been resolved I am using firefox on my sons advice as he says its very safe

Many, many times in a session, I get this: Mozilla Firefox (Not Responding). Frustration is setting in when I have to kill the computer, and start all over again. Anger is beginning a slow burn, too.

When I have to manually kill the session, I cannot, repeat CANNOT get the machine shutdown programs to work.

When I only want to close the current window to return to the previous window, the whole firefox site closes down, I end up back at my desktop & have to start all over again. How can this be fixed?

If I close a window I should be back at the previous window that I was at when I followed a link to this window. At least that's the way Internet Explorer works, which I have used for years. The only thing that prevents me from using Firefox exclusively is that it is very time consuming to have to start all over again from scratch every time I close a window. For instance, say I type "cats" into the search box. It gives me links to a list of "cats" sites. I go to a "cats" website, decide I don't like it so close the window to return to my list of sites, but instead of returning me to the list, I end up at my desktop. Then I have to start all over, just like I had not even been online. Very aggravating. I don't know how else to describe the problem, I can't believe that other people haven't had a similar complaint, unless I just have some settings wrong?

That problem can be caused by the Yahoo! Toolbar that extents too much downwards and covers the top part of the browser window and thus makes links in that part of the screen not clickable.

My computer crashed and I lost everything. I got a new one and downloaded itunes all over again. When I plug my ipad in even after authorising my computer it will still not let me edit anything on the ipad. The screen is grey like on the ipad section and i cant select an app or anything. I have transfered purchase apps but all it does is take movies and tv shows accross. It wont transfer the apps into itunes. Please help

As far as I know, iTunes will still not change anything until you click on Apply in the lower right corner. I fiddle with my settings all the time - just so I can get a sense if what to expect should I make any changes - and I have never seen anything happen to my configuration unless I click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes. Not only that - you have turned off auto sync so as far as I know you still have to click on sync or apply in order for the iPad to sync with iTunes.
That doesn't mean it will not happen, I've never seen it happen - is all that I'm saying. I'm sorry but I'm not sure what will happen, but the only reason that I can of why the apps will not transfer is because of the manual manage setting. I could be wrong about that as well.

InCopy Won't Let Me Check Out a Story

I appear to be having a very unusual problem with InCopy. It won't let me check anything out. I don't get an error, or a message, it's just not checked out.
I have tried checking stories out in every way i know how and every time i am left with a not checked out story.

You actually cannot do anything to your ipad when its locked but look at pictures the time and date, you need to restore it, and if it dosent let you restore, good luck chuck Heres how to restore it: Okay, i only know the itunes way soz, lol. Try to connect your ipad to itunes, if it does let you then you should be able to select the device you have in the corner somewhere, once you do that you should see a screen that looks sort of like your ipads setting, you should have a button that says "Restore" click that and your ipad should be restored. If that dosent work you should try going to your regular office depot or something. Good Luck!

I updated to iOS 8 on my iPhone 5 yesterday and now when I press the home button even once, it opens the app switcher (which is supposed to only open after pressing the home button twice quickly). Sometimes pressing the home button once even brings up the assistive button (which for me should take three button presses). This did not happen before I updated my software. Hello ..do you have a history on the phone? did you get it wet? was it dropped? have you been using an authentic ORIGINAL apple charging cable?
this problem occurs when there is a short circuit in the phone... you most likely got it wet at some point and maybe didnt even realize it? The moisture in the phone hasb probablly oxidized one or several capacitors, integrated chips thereby short circuiting the phone. that is why he phone is acting erratic because these short circuits inadvertently "activates" other circuits.. eventually the phone will not turn on anymore- the heat will stress the citcuit board and you will have discontinuity along your main power lines and the phone will cease to function..i see this alllll the time in our shop
the fact you upgraded to ios6 will even work the phone harder because its a more powerful operating system taking full advantage of the A4 chip..
