I should probably be in motion or shake but...
does anyone know the acutal way to create the ipod commercial effect? the color background and white moving figure? im sure its more than some simple inverting and contrasting which is what i have now but i thing my clip would look better if it was like the commercial

Advise on dual 1.25 G4 graphics card upgrade to run Motion and Shake.
I have a dual 1.25 GHz G4 PowerMac running 10.4.7 and would like to use Motion and Shake. Motion will not install with the factory ATI Radeon 9000 Pro card and Shake requests OpenGL support so I did not bother trying the install.
I'm considering the Radeon 9800 PRO or the GeForce 7600 GT
I'm also running an ACARD 6880M raid card for storage and hope to avoid any conflicts.
Any advise is much appreciated.You should be able to get an AGP GeForce 7 series card. It's either a 7600 or 7800, but beyond that I can't remember. Of course, you'll have to flash it, possibly solder on a 128K EEPROM, tape or cut some pins, make sure you have a strong enough power supply...
Your other options are a Radeon 9800 Pro or GeFroce 6800 (Ultra, GT?). You can probably find a PC Radeon 9800 Pro 256MB card (make sure it has 8 memory chips instead of 16, is not AGP Pro/Double-Wide, is prerferably DDR and not DDR2, and to avoid soldering try to find one with a 128K EEPROM - which would never be specified on a site or anything). Again, you'd have to flash it and tape some pins as they're meant for AGP8x slots. They also don't fit well if you try to change their fan/heatsink, or so I've been told.
Definitely max your RAM, but maybe avoid PC3200 memory modules. ; P -
Motion 3 & Shake - Which To Choose?
OK, not trying to start a war.. I just have some basic questions regarding these two apps. Looking for some opinions on this.
I am fairly new to Shake, so with the announcement of FCS2 I am considering moving away from Shake in favor of Motion 3. I really like Shake and I understand the workflow, but now there is much overlap between the two applications (at least for my needs). Re-timing, GPU acceleration, motion tracking, etc. From what I understand, some features from Shake made their way over to M3.
As a serious hobbyist (filmmaker), am I making a mistake by not keeping Shake in my toolbox? I'm honestly having trouble thinking of things I'm doing in Shake that Motion 3 could not handle (again, for at least for my immediate needs).
Thanks all-Since there is, and won't be any more upgrades to Shake, there's no reason abandon it. The more ways you can skin a cat, the better. Keep it in your toolbox. It doesn't even take up much hard drive space.
Also, I think Motion 3 will remain primarily a motion graphics application. It's great that it's borrowing some tech from Shake, but I think that's a desire to compete with After Effects. I doubt Apple is building Motion to be a Shake killer. I have the feeling we're going to see a successor to Shake somewhere down the road.
I'm not a Shake user myself (yet), but I have an pretty good idea how **** powerful it can be. You mentioned you were new to the program, so it could just be that you haven't quite unearthed its potential, or haven't had need to yet. But if you're making films, it would probably be remiss to disregard Shake in light of Motion 3.

Tried to install eBay app two days ago. Still hasn't installed, is grayed out and says waiting... When I tried to uninstall it shakes, but no X appears. How do I get rid of this app? eBay app was from the App Store.
Try restarting your devise by holding down the power button and the home button. The uninstalled app should disappear after a little while.

When a pop up window comes up it is - search bookmarks and history window! I cannot log into my bank as login button should open new window to log in but I get the search page. I cannot see larger images as again I get the search bookmarks and history page etc. Happens on all options that should open new page. When I try to turn on iMessage, it tells me that "an error occurred while trying to turn on iMessage."
It's not a huge deal, but people with iPhones can't text me back unless they try to re-send after finding out that their message wasn't delivered.

To solve a different problem, the folks at the store replaced my iPhone 4S.

How do I delete apps in os5? I press and hold the icon and they all begin to shake but the little x does not appear allowing me to delete.
You can't delete any of the Apple built-in apps e.g. Music, App Store, Game Centre etc. If you don't get the 'x' on any of the apps that you've downloaded then check that Settings > General > Restrictions > Deleting Apps isn't set 'off'

Can't FLIP a quick RENDER! Works fine in SHAKE but not to flip or Disk!

Part 1 has you rendering two files, one is a still image, the other a quicktime movie, I don't have the money for premium so I got my own clouds movie (.mov) and added a still plane.
I key framed 1 - 100 and playing it back its fine in shake, but not on FLIP or DISK, its nothing but a still image. Have done it 5 times making sure that all the right buttons are on, or not, and as I said, it works INSIDE of shake but won't RENDER to FLIPBOOK!
I don't suppose anyone wants to send me the exercise files? (on knees begging LOL) I am a member, just can't afford $300 for one pop and this is really the only program I need to learn.
Thanks!Sorry if I'm pointing out something obvious that you already know. Have you checked the time range in the render dialog? Shake does not fill in the values for you automatically, and defaults to "1" so only renders the 1st frame. It needs to be set to eg "1-100".

How can I delete apps off of my iPhone 4? I know the apps will begin to shake, but the "X" doesn't appear like it's suppose to. Help, please!!!!
What apps are you trying to delete? Apps that come on the phones cannot be deleted in this fashion. Only apps you purchase from the app store can be deleted.

Can't open old Numbers spreadsheet after upgrading Mac to Yosemite. Error message says it should first be upgraded to Numbers 09 but doesn't provide method to do so? Help?
There is a chance the spreadsheets were made with a Numbers or AppleWorks version so old that it's not compatible anymore with the latest Numbers version (yes this can happen)

Welcome to the Apple community.
A number of people have reported similar issues recently, many appear to have found a discrepancy of some kind in their account settings and making changes to these settings or simply resetting them has resolved the matter.
Check your account details are correct, check that you are using the correct details for Location, Region and Time Zone. You may want to change these settings and then change them back to see if that helps.
You might also try logging out of and then back into your iTunes account (Settings > iTunes Store > Apple ID’s > Sign Out) and restarting your router. (Some have reported that after doing this, they need to check for rentals even though it may report that there aren’t any, after which rentals once again appear in the ‘movies’ feature)
Rentals should appear under their own heading in the ‘Movies’ feature, you might also check at Settings > iTunes Store > Check For Rentals. -

I've seen an answer to the question of resetting the security questions is by logging into the account and click on security tab and there you should be able to reset the questions, but I don't see this option.what else can I do to reset my questions?
