I start running a java program and when i switch users the sound doesnt work

When I start running a java program or leave a game running and i switch users the sound doesnt work. I have been searching around the web and nobody seems to have an answer. This just recently started to happen. Please if anyone has any ideas that would be much appreciated and the problem is my computer its almost brand new. And my computer is completely up to date.

Did you make a clean install and restore the library from a backup? No.
Or did you install the new system amd new version on top of the old system? Yes.
What version did you upgrade from? 3.4
Is your Aperture library onyour internal drive or also on an external drive? External
During the update, has your Aperture library been moved in any way? No, its still where it was on the external drive.

Running a java program in a directory other than the current directory

How do I run a java program that's located in a directory other than the current directory?
There is a file Test.java in /dir1/subdir1. If my current directory is anywhere other than that directory, say /dir2/subdir2, I can compile Test.java by using:
javac -classpath /dir1/subdir1 /dir1/subdir1/Test.java
But when I try to run it with:
java -classpath /dir1/subdir1 /dir1/subdir1/Test
I get a java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: \dir1\subdir1\Test
Any thoughts?

You need to specify just the name of the class you want to run. So java -classpath /dir1/subdir1 Test

I accidentally left my phone unprotected during the rain. My phone got wet and when I got home the sound won't work and the next day it doesn't let me charge anymore. HELP!

I went out to join the amazing race challenge in my work. When we were almost to the end, the weather changed and it started raining. I put my phone my my backpack and got wet along with my other stuff. By the time I got home, there's no more sound and it keeps showing "SLIDE TO TURN OFF". Then the next day, I can't charge anymore.

You might consider a case like Otterbox or something similar for active events in outdoor use. They not only give good protection against drops but also protect from water. It's not meant to swim with take underwater pictures but really good for rain splatter or the situation you were in. Good luck.

Reset your device: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss)
If this doesn't change anything, backup and restore your software via iTunes. If the problem continues, restore as a NEW device. If this solves it, that means there is some corruption in your backup file, or maybe it's one of your apps causing the trouble. If the problem is still there, you should take it to the Genius Bar at an Apple Store for evaluation.

How can it be and what should i do? i bought it in Apple Store, so i am really sure my iphone is original.

To make sure that this is not software related, set it up as new device without using a backup, also make sure that the lens is not covered by a case or protective film.
Then check the camera function again. If the quality is still not that good, this could be hardware related and the phone has to be serviced. In your case this could be a problem, because you'll have to bring the phone back to the USA to get it checked by Apple or an Authorized Apple Service Provider. The warranty is only valid in the country where the phone has been bought, and Apple does not accept international shipments.

Just a guess, but if your wireless network is not appearing in Windows, it's probably a result of a Windows firewall setting.
An Apple AirPort Base Station just creates a wireless network, like any other. There is nothing different about it than any other wireless network, so it should be available to select from Windows. It has been a while since I've used XP but I am quite certain no additional drivers need to be installed for XP to communicate with a Mac's wireless hardware.
You might try asking in the Boot Camp discussions area.

Hello,
I believe that this error is caused because when you
compile and run a java program, you have to use the
same name that is next to public class. For example,
the program name is next to the word public class.
For example, if a program began like this:
public class Concat
then the name of the program in this case is Concat
and when you compile it you type: javac Concat.java
when you run it type: java Concat
depending on the name of your program.and depending on whether the class is in a package. And depending on what directory you are currently in.
Also depending on if you set your class path you might
have to type the above like this: jdk1.2.1\bin\javac
Concat.java to compile, and to run you would have to
type jdk1.2.1\bin\java Concat where you would replace
Concat with the name of your program and replace
jdk1.2.1 with the name of your version of java, that
is again if you do not have your classpath set. Hope
this helps.Your examples have nothing to do with whether the CLASSPATH is set--only with whether the PATH is set. And, it may not be jdkXXX\bin. The path to the JDK (in this case, to javac and java executables) could be anything. Classpath should be set on the command line. The OP probably did NOT set a classpath on the command line (preferred), or in the environment variables.
Also, make sure you did not forget to put:
public static void main(String[ ] args)
on the line underneath the line where it says "public
class Concat" where Concat is the name of your
program. Again, I hope this helps.Irrelevant (with the info we have from the OP so far). The error says that the JVM can't even find the class--not that the class doesn't have a main. The "main" referred to in the error message is within the JVM itself.

I have a Windows batch (*.bat) file that echoes some html, then calls a java program the output of which is html as well, then echoes the final html.
To make sure that the java program gets properly executed, I set the necessary environment variables (e.g., JDK, PATH, CLASSPATH, etc.). The script looks something like this:

The idea, of course, is to call this script through a browser, on a web server.
Curiously, both echo lines return to the browser just fine, but any output from
the java program (which just writes html to STDOUT) does not make it back.
Can someone explain to me why this is happening? How do I set things up so that the output (STDOUT and STDERROR) from the java program make it back to the browser?

I downloded iphoto 11 9.2 and when opened it for the first time and the program started to update my iPhoto library the file got corrupted. That has happened in the two macs I have (both of them rather new and updated to last Lion version 10.7.2).

I downloaded Iphoto 11 9.2 from the apps store (was on iphoto '09 before version 8.x) and when opened it for the first time it tried to update my photo librery and ended up corupting it to the extreme that I had to get a backup from time capsule and downgrade my iphoto version. I spent yesterday 6 hours at the genius bar in an apple store and they were not able to provide me with any other solution. In the emantime, I have to forget about about photo streaming... Any idea, is this a bug that somebody knows how tp fix?

In fairness, this isn't an issue in iPhoto 11 but one in your Library. Some file or other in there is damaged and that's what causes the crash during the upgrade.
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
