Oliverfauve I am sorry you have faced difficulty establishing a connection between the computer and our activation server.  If you have already completed the steps listed in Sign in, activation, or connection errors | CC, CS6, CS5.5 - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-network-issues.html then I would recommend working directly with our support team.  If you have done so already can you please post the case number so that I can review the interaction?

    Can you elaborate on what you mean by "difficulty" during the boot sequence? When/where is the difficulty occurring? Are you getting to the Apple logo? Apple logo with spinning gear? Blue screen? Login window? There's many phases to the boot sequence and when it fails can go a long way in determing what's causing the problem.
    Also, what sort of third party software is installed? It sounds like at a minimum you've installed Microsoft Office? Anything else?
    Lastly, after you reinstall Lion do you perform a restore from backup or remigrate your data/content right back into the new OS? If so that could potentially be the problem right there. But truthfully there's more information that needs to be provided to begin recommending troubleshooting steps.

    All Adobe apps have the "Sync Settings" button grayed out, and in the Creative Cloud app the prefs are grayed out. I think all these problems started with the last Yosemite 10.10.2 update.     And a few minutes after posting the above I realised my error
    I have three different Adobe IDs, two at work and one personal account. I was logging in with the wrong Adobe ID, one of my work accounts but the one that isn't the admin for our Creative Cloud membership.
    Just thought it was worth posting something here in case anyone else suffers the same thing for the same reason. It was the small matter of logging in with a .net email address when it should have been the .com.
    Feeling stupid now

  • TS4222 What I did was delete mobile me and that solved the problem.

    I went into my harddrive and then went into system preferences then Library deleted Mobile me.  Then I went into my shared section and followed the same route with my password I deleted all of Moblie Me and now I don't have any problems with iCloud or with iPhoto.

    Your intro notes that you're going back to school to learn how to create products for iOS or OS X.  As you learn more about creating software, you'll likely come to realize that deleting components of OS X - or of any other complex application - can lead to problems later on.
    The problems that can arise do depend entirely on the particular component(s) that were deleted, and what their particular relationships were in the larger system.
    Additionally, complex software packages will often include self-updating and sometimes self-repair features, and OS X is no different here.  These self-updating mechanisms will then replace the components as software updates arrive, meaning that you'll be re-deleting the same components after upgrades.
    And oiut of curiousity, what were the particular problems you were having with iCloud and iPhoto?  (Apple's MobileMe service was retired at the end of June 2012, so I'd not expect iPhoto or iClould to be using that feature (successfully) any more.)

    A reply was sent to my email, but clicking on the line saying my problem was solved led only to a "cannot find the server".     I have 2 Iphones, registered under the same AppleID. Mine, and my mom's.  I recently (today) did the software udate for her phone, and ever since-she receives every message i send to my girlfriend, and every response that my girlfriend sends to me.  I read up on Imessage, and checked the settings on both phones.  On each phone "imessage"was turned on, so i turned Imessage off.  Will this solve the problem of my mom receiving every message that  i send and receive? Also, if i turn Imessage back on, on my phone-will i still have privacy to text?

    Why not create a second Apple ID?  Wouldn't that solve the problem much more straightforwardly?

    What does the detailed crash report say?
    And have you updated your video card drivers from the GPU maker's website? (most crashes on launch are due to bugs in out of date video card drivers)

    Dave: I did the Microsoft Update two days before this happened, and rebooted as required.  I just created a new restore point and lauched Creative Cloud.  Now I get the famous white screen:
    It just sits and spins (been 10 minutes now). 
    Fortunately, I saved away this command (which I've had to use 4 or 5 times already):
    del %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE\opm.db
    Unfortunately now, I get this (even after closing the above window):
    The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.
    So I killed everything that said "Adobe" in the task manager and this time, the command succeeded.
    Fortunately, the current apps seem to still work.  I can't seem to find the "Creative Cloud" app in the applications on my system, but I launched Photoshop CC, told it to look for updates, and got a list of the 5 prgorams that need updates in the Adobe Application manager:
    I will proceed with the updates, holding my breath.
