Even though I upgraded through ver 4 and now ver 5 the icon in question has not changed. How can I update this?. I also thought I saw some reference to XP losing support in later versions. Is this correct?
You are showing Fx5. You could check at Help>About Firefox.
My memory is that the desktop icon doesn't change. You could Right click>Properties and change the name to Firefox 5.

Hi I am wondering if I can give my daughter my Photoshop Elements vers. 7 as I now have version 8 and realize that the vers. 7 is tied to my email address and my password when I used it. Does that mean then that she cannot load it to her computerwhich has her email address which is different than mine?

Same here, 4s working perfectly, downloaded update 8.0.1 Now no wifi or bluetooth or hotspot. Control on/off icons are muted in colour and don't respond. Tried resetting network connections then total restore, didn't work so still have the same problems as before.

I would try another restore of the hard disk to its original out-of-the-box contents using Toshiba recovery media. Maybe something went wrong in the process. Make sure everything works before applying any updates and adding any hardware or software.
Then add things carefully, rebooting Windows and testing the USB and audio at each step.

The only info windows gives me for the sound card is that it from Microsoft... with a driver version of 6.1.7601.17514....which naturally doesn't really help me since I have no idea what card or mobo I have . Is there any way for me to find out what I need other than opening up my laptop?
Every one of them lists my mobo simply as a Toshiba motherboard, with no audio card information. Which I'm assuming that is because it has an internal sound processor. My problem is that none of the properties, or ANYTHING I try, will give me information on what I need to fix this...

I have restored and updated my ipod from recovery mode, however I still have the usb cord and itunes icon on the ipod when it is switched on. How can I get my ipod to work again? I have updated and restored 5 times! When connected to itunes it only shows the summary page saying ipod in recovery mode.
Fixed it!
1. Made sure itunes software was up to date
2. Pressed and held 'home' button and 'on-off' button at the same time for about 10 seconds till ipod reset (I hadn't done this step previously)
3. Connected to itunes
4. Pressed restore and update ipod

I am trying to open a pages document however it tells me I need the new version to do so. I have installed the new version however it keeps saying I need the new version. I have noticed that I still have the old blue ink pot icon not the new orange pen.
Are you launching Pages from an icon in your Dock? Installing the update does not change the Dock icons & it does not remove the older versions. Go to your Applications folder & launch the new Pages from there.

Read the system requirements for iCloud. It is not compatible with Snow Leopard which your system profile confirms you have.

Sorry you are having problems. First of all try Fifrefox's safemode.

Hi there samrafamily, you can indeed get your old BBM contacts back if you simply reinstall BBM.
To ensure you get your icon back, go to Options > Applications, find BBM in the list of applications, then delete it (press BB Menu > Delete), then simply redownload it from http://blackberry.com/bbm.

Please always state your operating system when you have a question. Lion 10.7.2 minimum is required for iCloud; the Preference pane does not appear in earlier systems.

Check all of your folders to see if FaceTime is in any of them.
If not, check your restrictions (Settings>General>Restrictions) and if restrictions are on, and you know the passcode, then FaceTime might be turned off. Turn ON to veiw icon on home screen.

I might also add that my original Fujitsu hard drive started to go south right after my Applecare expired, so if you still have the original drive, it could possibly be on its way out. To get a more comprehensive check of the physical health of your hard drive, you might want to download and run SMART Utility:

Also, how full is your hard drive? If less than 10% free space, it is too full. 15%-20% free space is better.
You might try a Safe Boot:

Safe Boot disables quite a few things, one of which is start up items. If things seem OK in Safe Mode, you could probably go ahead and add a new account for troubleshooting. If the new account has no problems, then you have something wrong in your usual user account.
You can also look at what safe Mode disables to get a clue as to what might be causing your problems.

How can I disable the camera icon on my locked iPhone 4 screen but still have access on home page?
I just bought an iPhone 4 yesterday and my 3 year old son promptly found out how to access the camera even tho I have the phone locked. I would like to disable the option to use the camera while the phone is locked but still be able to use the camera without needing to re-enable it from the restrictions section. I've been searching on here and google for over an hour and am quickly coming to the conclusion that it is not possible. I have noticed that you can disable something similar to this on an ipad so why not give that option on the phone ?
also is it possible to disable the music from on there and still have it on your home screen?
