Are you just uninstalling ID, and leaving the rest of the suite in place? You don't need to deactivate to do that.
A suite license does not permit you to install individual components on many different machines so that different users have access to them, if that is what you are contemplating. -
I have creative suite 5.5 and have recently updated my iMac to Yosemite. Now I can't open the adobe apps. I have done the suggested Java update and mac OS X Java patch update.. still no go. Can you HELP?
uninstall, clean (Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6) the install using the installation files. do not migrate adobe programs.

Illustrator abruptly closed my saved file and said it cannot open the illustration. It says it contains illegal operand. Offending operator: 1. #INF. Can anyone please help?
What exactly did it do?
Crash while saving a file? That most probably ruins a file.
You can try and create a new Illustrator file, then place the old one in it. If that doesn't work, You might need to search for a backup.
Don't have a backup?
Start using the (free) plugin Autosaviour, use Time Machine (or whatever your system offers as a backup software) -
I recently downloaded a program ScanFont 5, When I try to open the installer I get the following message: "You can't open the application "(null)" because it may be damaged or incomplete. Is there any way I can get the installer to open anyway?
The message means just what it says. Remove the damaged copy and try downloading it again.
Edit: Looking at FontLab's page, there's two issues going on.
1) It's a PowerPC app and will not run on any version of OS X newer than Snow Leopard, 10.6.x.
2) The "workaround" they offer is to purchase the Windows version and then run it in the the open source Wine, Windows emulator. -

Have you installed LiveCycle Designer or when you say Adobe 7.0 it refers to the Adobe Reader??
If you already have installed the LiveCycle Designer then create a WD component, in the view insert an InteractiveForm UI element and click on edit. This will open the Adobe LiveCycle Designer in NWDS.

I can't open the iTunes store and keep getting this error message. "Registry settings used by the iT drivers for importing & burning CDs & DVDs are missing. Reinstall iTunes." I've reinstalled iT a half dozen times with no results.
You might have two different things going on at once here.
Starting with the registry settings message.
I'd start with the following document, with one modification. At step 12 after typing GEARAspiWDM press the Enter/Return key once prior to clicking OK. (Pressing Return adds a carriage return in the field and is important.)

I just traded my old iPad for a retina display. I keep getting error message: This iPad has not been backed up..etc." I have it plugged into my iMac and the photos did x-fer. Perform a Reset on the iPad (different from just restarting). Hold down on both the Sleep AND Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds (ignore the red slider button). Keep holding it until the Apple Logo appears. When you see the Apple logo on the black screen, let go of the buttons. This “reset” fixes a lot of iPad issues and might work to resolve the issue.

Why i can't open the youtube app in my ipad mini??
eventhough it says the app of youtube is downloaded, i cannot see the app icon in menu and of course it doesn't open!! what can i do? on my iphone5 works perfectly!
Let's try and see if it is indeed onboard. Use Spotlight for the task. Drag finger down starting from the middle of the screen: that will drop down Spotlight's search box, where you'll type YouTube (and watch the search occurring live as you type). It will also tell you where it is, IF it is.
If it doesn't work, may be cause it has not been upgraded for iOS 7 (there WAS an update). So, we'll delete it for sure in a roundabout way: go Settings / General / Usage and look for it in the list under Storage. If it doesn't appear in the summary list, tap on Show All Apps to expand. Tap on the YouTube name to visit the next screen where you'll see the version number (which currently is v2.1.0), the space occupied and, most important, the Delete App control. Tap on that and it will begone. Now you can download it afresh from the App Store. -

Hi, I have recently purchased an iPad 2 and only just found out after trying to use a Giffgaff sim card that it is locked to the Orange network in the UK. I don't want to be paying any extra over and above what I have already paid so my question is, is there any way to get the iPad carrier unlocked via apple or orange. I am waiting a call back from apple today and have read on the web that orange will charge me to unlock it.

You'll need to talk to Orange, and pay their fee if necessary. They may well only unlock for the original purchaser, in which case you'll need to contact the person from whom you purchased the iPad. Apple can do nothing directly in the matter, since they can only issue the unlock when the carrier provides authorization.

Start with this section, and work your way down if needed.
Basic troubleshooting
Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi off and then on again.
Verify that you are in range of your Wi-Fi router or base station.
Confirm that your Wi-Fi router and Cable/DSL modem are connected to power and turned on.
Check whether other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
Update your Wi-Fi router to the latest firmware.For AirPort Base Stations, refer to this article for information about firmware updates. For third-party Wi-Fi routers, check the manufacturer's website for details on updating your firmware.
Restart your iOS deviceHold the On/Off button until "slide to power off" appears. Slide to power off your device. When it is off, press the On/Off button to turn it back on.
