I subscribed to Acrobat XI, but the free trial prompt is still coming up when I print
I tried the Acrobat XI trial for 30 days. I liked it, so when the trial window popped up that it expired, I went onto the website to subscribe. I downloaded and installed the Adobe Acrobat Pro install, as Adobe instructed me to.
I even restarted my system, as I was instructed.
However, after restarting, when I then tried to print, the trial window was still popping up, still telling me that I could not use ACrobat because the trial had expired. Now, by the time that trial window had popped up, I'd already entered the name of the output file, and the PDF was already generated! However, I could not OPEN it to view it.
VERY irritating.
Before trying to print to PDF you need to make sure Acrobat is properly licensed.
Start Acrobat, look closely at the licensing window. It tells you there is a free trial but is your route to using it permanently.
If you've purchased a permanent license you will need to enter the serial number.
If you've purchased a subscription you will need to sign in, so it knows who you are.

If you are using IE9, look under the Safety tab in the upper right and uncheck "ActiveX Filtering".

I recently subscribed to Acrobat XI after the trial expired but when I went to activate it I was asked for the serial number. I only have the order number on the invoice. How do I get the serial number for the trial software that is on my computer?

Looking forward to seeing what is wrong with your license screens - the general advice is simply to sign in, and everything is done. Make sure you use the SAME Adobe ID that you used to purchase, and check your account details to be sure the subscription is active.

After Adobe Download Assistant is installed, you can start it at any time and select a product to download at the bottom of the window. The list updates as new products become available to download with the Adobe Download Assistant.

Trying to download the free trial of Adobe Acrobat XL Pro. I keep getting the message "The application could not be installed because the installer file is damaged. Try obtaining a new installer file from the application author." I've repeatedly tried getting a new installer file, but get the same message every time.
K_don52 and Ande8135 please remove your current installation of the Adobe Download Assistant and reinstall. You can find more details in the known issues section of Troubleshoot Adobe Download Assistant.

Hello. I have adobe forms and received the alert that it will be ending in July. Then I received an email about Adobe Acrobat XI Pro which can create forms. I signed up for the free trial and when I began to make a new form it brings me back to Adobe Forms. My question is, when Adobe Forms ends on July 28th will Adobe Acrobat XI Pro be able to create forms or will it now? and if not, then why is adobe advertising for it still?
What you're calling "Adobe Forms" is really Adobe FormsCentral. The FormsCentral service is indeed going away soon, but you can always create PDF forms (AcroForms) with Acrobat. Acrobat also comes with a desktop version of the FormsCentral desiger, which can be used to create simple PDF forms that can be used apart from the FormsCentral service. So you'll no longer be able to create and host web forms with the FormsCentral service or use PDF forms with the FormsCentral service. You will be able to create standalone PDF forms with Acrobat and simple PDF forms with the FormsCentral desktop app.

I have been waiting to get Photoshop all of 2014 and now I finally can. I tried downloading the free trial but then it took me to a page that said I could not download it because it was not supported. I am using a 2008 iMac that I got for christmas. Please help I really want photoshop!

You mean the free trial of Acrobat, correct? If so, are you sure the PDF is opening in Acrobat, not Reader? If it is Acrobat, the tools could be hiding. - if that is the case View -> Tools -> Content Editing.
Just do not expect too much. Editing capability in Acrobat is pretty limited.

Since you mention a free trial, I'm guessing that you have an Acrobat trial (Adobe doesn't offer free trials of the Acrobat.com online services).
If you do have Acrobat, you can use the Save As command in that application to save directly to Word format.

Assistanttolindsey the Adobe Download Assistant will download the installation files for Adobe Acrobat Professional XI. By default they are saved to your download folder. You can begin the installation process from there.

Please advise how I install the free trial of Adobe Acrobat XI Pro. I started the download process and can see the files in the Downloads folder however the setup screen was hanging so I cancelled. Now I don't know what to do. It goes back to the original download screen

I have now brought my daughters laptop into work as she has CS6 so I thought it would be easier to set up her laptop to the work network, set up an email account for her and attempt to email my 270 certificates that way. How wrong was I. First of all Acrobat X Pro would not open so I did a reinstall. Still wouldnt open so I had to find a patch to fix it. I can now open it. When I open Word 2013 and check the options, the PDFMaker is in the active section but when I open word the Adobe toolbar is not appearing. I've opened Acrobat X Pro and have discovered that it's missing a plugin - Convert2AdobePdf (DistillerPI.api) so I'm now in the process to find out how to install this plugin. I have seen through this site that there was a problem with Word 2013 and the Adobe Toolbar which is exactly my new problem. I have to say, after 3 days of trying to perform what you would think is a very simple function, I'm ready to just convert 270 individual pdf's and email them individually, I would have had the job done by now ! -

Please try the following steps assuming its a MAC:
1) Open Activity monitor and Force quit Adobe CEF Helper, Creative cloud, Adobe IPC Broker & Crash Deamon if available.
2) Try to open, if doesn't work then go to Applications>> Adobe Creative cloud>> Right click>> Get Info>> Click on the Add sign>> Select the user you are logged in>> Give Read and write access.
3) If that doesn't work then enable the root user and launch to update there, check this link on how to enable/sign in to root user Enabling and using the "root" user in Mac OS X
